[Problem] Diamond felt into water (urin) - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi
i have a little...problem. Today morning, my HTC Diamond felt out of my pocket into a train-toilet when i wanted to push the clear-button of the toilet.. and yes, there was (my) urin in it...
now my htc is off, cannot start. and it smells not really good.
so a friend told me to buy DI-wather (without iones and destillated) and to put the mobile in there, and then let it dry a week and then try start again. Because the urin can destroy..
what do you think about it? should i put my htc diamond into DI-wather? Or any ideas?
Yes I know.. how can THAT happen -.-

What a pisser!!! lol!
I don't want to suggest it but yes you could take the battery out and then put the phone in distilled water and them put it in the airing cupboard for a week to dry off.
To be honest I think it's screwed.

isopropanol

and destilled water isnt dangerous for the mobile? because i see that my mobile starts again. but want to put out the smell... so i can put my mobile really into destilled water or is it a risk then?

If it is starting ok. I would suggest you just wipe your phone with disinfectant (with the battery removed) and then spray some good musky perfume like Aramis to get rid of the smell.
I think it would work. Give it a try.

ok done
now i have washed my diamond in destillated water. now i have to let it dry for a week...

my stinky diamond
the things i needed
destillated water
wash the cube with destillated water
fill it with destillated water
bye bye diamond
blubb blubb
there it is
put it out after washing it 3 times
have fun

ok, now for all others:
my diamond runs great again
before i put it into destillated water, it made some problems. Now, after the destillated water, all runs great without any problem.
so for note: destillated water is good for your diamond

I did that to a Nokia N73 that had been in the washer. It looked totally destroyed inside because of corrosion but worked afterwards.
You have to be quick because water can really destroy your phone. You should use isopropanol if the water has dried already because it gets rid of the lime.
And you should never try to turn your phone on after it has fallen into the water. Also replacing the battery has been suggested before turning it on again because the old one might destroy it.
BTW, you can easily buy destilled water at most super markets for about 1€...

Mine got soaked when I forgot it in my pocket, I was on my motorcycle and got caught in a heavy rain...
It took a three weeks to come back to life, each week I'd put the battery in and check. Finally on the third week it worked.
I think HTC makes bomb proof phones!

Overboard Waterproof cases

Hi, Anybody got any experience with these things b4 I buy?
I see on their web site http://www.over-board.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=30_43&products_id=43 that this bit of kit would fit a TyTnII.
But paying £434 for the device I am a tad twitchy re a £14.99 bag protecting it even though the supplier/manufacturer say it is up to the job?
Any advice welcome.....
My brother-in-law has another brand of this type of case and it works well.

Thanks chaps.
ChumleyEx are you avin a laugh?
Ziploc food bags? )))) lol
Don't laugh, when I go to a water park, pool, or any place my phone might get wet, I put mine in a zip loc. The "snack" size ones work perfect.
Heres an idea from you guys!!!
Buy one , call Guiness Book of records, Be the first to send a text message from your phone from underwater!!
Too late already done it, did'nt get in
I used an AquaPac with my previous phone. Unfortunately my Tilt won't fit in the bag, or at least not WELL. It's just slightly too tacky and large to fit and once it goes in it's hell getting it back out.
But they do make larger ones, even very large ones. They're great if you know there is a good chance of the phone getting dunked or wet from rain, etc.. I always used mine when geocaching around water or in the rain. So far I've just avoided the situations with the Tilt, but I'd like to get a larger AquaPac sometime.
Yeah, ordered it now.
I want to use it when in the hotel spa, pool etc. Still not too sure how the touch screen will work whilst in but will give it a go
Thanks folks
I use the Cochlan's waterproof bags You get three different sizes in a pack and work great. I use it if I go to the beach.
This is what i use and it works great.
Have now got the case.
I must say it looks very think plastic but I see that it is a good design, but think I will still twitch when using it!!!
Also got it now.
Did a test with it and it works.
Even tested it with my Tytn2

[OFF TOPIC] Post About Your Bad Lucks

Ok, i will start first.
Earlier today i was playing futsal with my friends and i ran out of drinks so i drank my friend's water until my mouth was full. But before i could swallow it, my friend made me laugh, so i decided to turn my head away, hoped that it wpuld pour to the grasses. But instead of the grasses , it poured from my mouth to my other friend's bag. Not only that, when we finished playing futsal, i made a joke about my friend and after finished laughing, i got into my car and put the reverse gear on. Furthermore i wasn't paying attention to whats on my car's backside. So i just hit the gas and i crashed to my friend's motorcycle. Even though the scratch isn't that bad, the motorcycle belongs to my friend whose bag i just puked on. I guess i was just unlucky.

Thats when i made the obvious and took a look at the back of the phone to see if the camera was dirty.
Well, i sure was surprised!
(that metal ring is just for the smal magnetic objectives.)
What do you think ? is that a Water dmg? Did anything like this happen to anyone before ?
P.S yes i know... there are a lot of black dots... -.- should RMA that thing...
Ya i think it's water.. Have you tested it in water

you mean taking an underwater picture? did few times before, but not when this happened, and not afterwards.
Then water must have leaked into it some how and because of the heat water is getting evaporated. Put it under dhal for a day or teo while al d chaging headset ports are open.

Picture shows that your back glass is clearly lifted. Just a heads up before you wet the phone again.
My cousin had this problem and it is technical and opened to dry (clean)

How long did it take to dissapear? Any way to speed up the process.
Bro ,
First question where did you get that camera ring [metal one] from , and how did you stick it .
Coming to your question , Did u try an hair dryer ? Well, you can try to open it up and wipe it off and stick back in with glue.
That's glued.
For camera lens attachment, about 10$ on eBay.
Hair dried is a bad idea. To much heat is bad for battery. Better to let it stay in a bowl of dry rice.
If you do nothing it takes about 1-3 days to fully disappear.

Camera problem..

Hello everyone.
I got my phone 6 months now,my camera was good as far as I noticed. But this summer I went to camp on the beach and after I came back I noticed that the pictures I took with my phone doesnt look well,I cleaned the lens more than onces.but no result.
I must say, that I swimed with my phone and maybe be went for more than 1m underwater. So maybe the pressure causes the problem ?
If anyone has similar problem or know what exacly the problem is please let me know.
Here are some pictures taken with my phone after the problem.

Thank you and have a good day !
??Holy haze Batman! That looks like a turtle dove crapped on your camera lens!
But in all seriousness, if you were at the beach, chance are that your lense is scuffed from being in your pocket or what not while there was sand in there. It happened to my wife. Sand is massively pervasive. It gets everywhere and fast.
Think about it. When you got back from the beach. Did not 10lbs of sand fall from your but crack in the shower?
Also, if it was a ocean beach, the salt in the air can get behind the lense and cause this. Though, I don't believe that is a common occurrence.

LOL,thanks for your reply mate.
Yeah,I guess you're right with the salt thing.I were there for 20 days which quit enough.
Since,I think I found what the problem is,what about the solution ?
Should I open it and clean the lens. If this is the case, any advances how to do so ? Because I have never open it before and I dont want to mess it up of course.

Galaxy s6 active water problems

So this happened a 2 weeks ago, I did not have the time to write about it nor did I really care much as its hand-able.
I went to the pool with my wife and son and I decided to take pictures with the new S6 Active I bought from a retailer.
I previously had the S4 Active which I used for 5 years and to this date is an amazing phone, so I decided to switch over to a more powerful phone as I was noticing some lag and stuttering on my S4 active. I love the rugged design of the Active series.
Before entering the pool I made sure everything was sealed tight, I even had a Rugged Case around the phone, making it even more bulkier. I removed the case first and made sure everything was sealed tight, not much to check as the back cover is not remove-able.
While entering the pool, I walked over to my family and dipped the phone in water to prepare it for some underwater photography when it started blinking white after a few seconds beneath water. I instantly turned off the phone put it into my bag, and when I got home, disassembled the phone and dried the phone down, not much water if any at all was in the phone but I let it dry for a day, and then later blow dried it just to make sure,
After putting the phone together, the screen display color was dimmed even tho the bar was at the highest possible strength. After a few restarts it was back to normal. But the Gyroscope on the phone is not working, or any of the smart features, sensors. etc. The recently used tab button was not working, but after the few restarts it started working but the back button stopped.
I tried opening it again once more, wiping it down with a microfiber towel and blow drying it once more. Disassembled the phone completely besides removing the chips and basically nuked everything to the temp where it was untouchable. But to no avail.
I was just wanting any other tips, that might work before I order a new mobo and port as it's only going to cost me around $30 but the shipping is annoying as it takes up to a month to deliver to my location. Thanks in advance.
Have you check sim tray
Hello i also buy from a retailer, but when it arriver i check my sim tray it is missing the ruber that is on sim tray so water enters...
