I was just wondering how to turn on max manila in the January 14th release of the new energy Rom?

Your best bet would be to ask in the roms' thread. You will get an answer faster there then starting a new thread

Worth the Upgrade?

So is WM 6.1 worth the upgrade?
Also, any ideas when an official release for at&t will surface for the tilt?

I'll be nice and answer your questions.
1. Sure....why not!
2. In the future!
There is a comparison of wm6 and wm6.1 on microsoft's windows mobile site. And unless I am missing something, about the only thing notable seems to be threaded SMS in 6.1. All other differences mentioned frankly dont seem worth going through the bother UNLESS ofcourse 6.1 is faster, uses less memory, does a better job of garbage collection or other such non-functional improvements which are not mentioned.
I agree! Unless I'm seeing reports of vast improvements in speed, and a couple of other nagging nits, I won't do the upgrade. It does what I want it to already.
A lot of the cooked 6.1 ROMs available now take advantage of some new drivers (NOT Video) and other optimizations which do make it quite a bit faster than any WM6 ROM I have used.

I'm running Dutty's Apr 09 build, and it is the fastest ROM I have used to date. A close second would be NoThrills WWE from 1 month ago.

You need to update buddy. 6.1 offers .NET 3.5, threaded, SMS, and best of all stability! No reason why you shouldnt upgrade. NO DOWN SIDE!
I would go with April 16th from Dutty, its a real winner....

If you want a clean, fast ROM, go with NoThrills.

I got the No Thrills. I works like my old 6.0 but faster and smooth. Thanks for the tip.

hmmm...well this is on touch hd, so if it does go public then it will come to us quickly. Its not even been announced by htc yet, i bet they're miffed at it leaking out. If someone is cooking, then wait until it's official before it's released, because leaks are hard to come by. That build looks unstable aswell, so a good version might not come out for AAAAAAAAAAAAAGES!
i wanted to release a 2.5 rom. m on it now but i honestly don think its worth. its not that its not functional. it works smooth except for sms tab. other than that the remaining bugs(footnote, no landscape) are acceptable for daily use. BUT, i don see the point of releasing it as i dont see anyone else interested in releasing it and possible prevent further leak of a good leo build!!!
Better to wait for a fully functional 6.5 compatable manila version in both topaz and rhodium....makes for a better over all rom,imo....I was going to release with the test 2.3 manila, but it isnt to my liking and is incomplete which ends up more people complaining about this or that....

WC

WinMo 6.5

So, now 6.5 is officially released, when are we going to get a proper base 6.5 ROM for our Jades? Come on, there's got to be a genius out there.
I guess all the chefs are waiting for an official HTC 6.5 final ROM dump. I mean that's what i would do, if i were a chef.
Really excited about it.Hope something will come up soon.
When is HTC likely to release an official 6.5 rom for this device?
hi
to my knowledge not now we need to wait for one of ur cooks to use one of the released Roms and cook a good bug free one for us

I asked HTC support a few weeks ago and they replied to me that they won't release a official 6.5 ROM for the Touch 3G. I guess they prefer to sell the Touch2 instead.

Apparently, the Touch 2 will be quite cheap in SEAsia, somewhere between the Opal and Jade. This with increased memory but same processor and same camera as Jade.
yeah i looked at a touch2 ...however the battery is only 1000amh....compared to our Touch 3G's 1100amh
Asked in HTC
I too asked in HTC support.
They told it would take some time for them to release the upgrade for our wonderful jade.
They told to visit HTC site regularly to know about the release.
Waiting for the upgrade.

Means that WinMo 6.5 will be officialy released for our Jade !?
OMG, can't believe it !
I very much doubt there will be an official 6.5 update. Look at it from HTC's point of view, there's just no financial reason to do it.
hi
u nailed it buddy im 100% with u but then we have great cooks so im sure well get a good clean bug free ROM soon

It's hard to figure out HTC's marketing strategy. They introduce a newer version of a product with the same or sometimes inferior features. Take the Touch cruise 2, for instance. The older one had a better camera. The screen of the Opal is lowered and that makes it hard to reach the close button. As for the official upgrade, the word out is it will only be for the diamond 2 and touch pro 2. But when it comes to hotfixes, jade comes in first with practically none= no major issues to fix.
I too have asked HTC support about WM6.5 and have gotten the same answer - no WM6.5 for the Jade. But i asked them some 3 weeks ago, or more. Things may have changed in the mean time.

I thought 21854 is the official release. My future release features 21859 so is a bit newer than the official . I solved a problem it had with office, my mistake after all. So the in the new megade wm 6.5 will have as much bugs as the official release. (maybe a bit less/more)
If u look at the specs of the Touch2, it's very clear it's just an upgrade on Jade. Apart from the improbable stuff like RAM and ROM. the rest are nearly a match. some of the features that jade lacks, just a couple of registry tweaks and shortcut assigned keys..and you're on the GO! Save $$$...and a prettier phone. LOL

More than a long shot I would say, since allowing Jade owners to update 6.5 would mean they would not have an incentive to upgrade to Touch 2. Phones like ours requires a lot of thought at the beginning and more user friendly phones like Nokia are hard to beat. Believe me, I've tried to convert quite a few people!

Since it wm6.5 official release anyone actually have it?

Well wm 6.5 release 2 days ago. Anyone get a hand of the final release where there isn't any bugs?

Samsung released it for the Omnia 2 (in The Netherlands) and T-Mobile Germany for the MDA Vario V.

Maybe you don't understand. Official release means that it is available for phone manufacturers - not for you and me to download and install on our phones.
nope! I don't agree...Official is out so should the cook might get their hands on it. Also Official update is out, that mean the provider such as tmobile would let you upgrade your TP2, but at the moment tmobile US has no upgrade...I really don't care I think enrgyRoM would beat any upgrade or whatever....but if the official is out, this would allow the cook add their own twicks and tricks.
Well, I got it and I must say it's awesome for shipped Rom. Didn't notice any bug and I've never seen such a fast stock Rom. Speed is as it should be. Only annoying thing is the branding.

I mention they made a demo with WM6.5 on an Rhodium. Hope it's a pre-release. Exh 2010 works really well indeed.
Just install a custom ROM, they are far better than stock ROM!
