skype doesn't work on my kaiser

Hi everybody, I try to find other thread with something like this, but I can't find anything.
well, I used the schap's wm6.0 rom and I didn't have problems with skype.
due to many reasons, now I use htc rom 3.28.405.0 (Radio 1.65.16.25) original HTC WWE (World Wide English)
I tried with 2 versións of skype, "for windows mobile" and "for smartphones". both crash when I open them
someone knows, how can I use skype on my kaiser?

Skype does not work on wm6.1 There are many, many, many treads on this.. Goto skype.com and check for new release, there are no solutions pr.date.
Rollback to wm6.0 or use some of the altenatives, fring, iskoot and so on.

by the way, some recomended radio? I'm not sure, but this radio get empty very fast my battery

Skype will work on Kaiser if...
U D/L the PPC version. Kaiser is actually a PPC with phone capabilities.

Skype DOES Work for WM6.1 It just depends on what ROM you have installed. I Have Skype working on my phone and I'm running WM6.1

My skype works with standard WM5 on my Tilt but it hangs up after about 3-5 minutes consistently. Voice quality improves with WIFI over 3g but it still hangs up... any ideas?

Stratugus - Warcraft II on Kaiser issue

I've got the stratugus ( emu for warcraft II ) its great and it was working on my Uni. Now ive got Kaiser i did rom upgrade from Orange PL ( pice of sh%$t) to oryginal HTC rom WM 6.1. Everything is working fine, got some issues with IGO 8 but solve it. Now i can't start stratugus. After i press stratugus got message about trust program then it thinks for a second and.... nothing happens....
any idea ??

NO one got any idea ?? i notice that i cant even run wolfenstain 3d... i don't know why. The COD 2 or Virtual Pool is running fine ...

All I can suggest is to use Kaizer Tweak to disable request for certificates.

ok it didn't help i tried few more things but didn't solve the issue. After that i tried different ROM's and the solution was the WM 6.0 . I guess that it only runs under that version or lower ... so bye bye WM 6.1.....

I have WM 6.1 (Hyperdragon 3) and am bummed to hear this. I wanted to play WC2 on my phone, but if there is no work around... I'll keep checking for any updates.

HEy all you WM 6.1 Lovers its working i installed the ROM with the Mannila 2D interface ( forgot who's , but i'll check it ) and you know what ?? ITS WORKING

Success! I was able to install and play WC2 on my Tilt running the HyperDragon 3 Rom. I guess it pays to try something for yourself.

Internal GPS

I have WM 6.1 Pro and tomtom navigator 6. I want to ask that is there any way i can make my built-in gps search faster for the satteline beside using quickgps? thank you

What exact ROM are you using? Early WM6.1 ROMs (those ported form other devices, before the official one came) had very long times to first fix (several minutes).
The current ones have normal times of about 30 seconds.

Is 'it' a HTC TyTN II, AT&T Tilt, Vodafone v1615, O2 XDA Stellar etc? If you bought it used, the previous owner may have changed the ROM or Radio/SPL through a process known as flashing. Does it all appear the same as whats shown in your manual for the device (or if you don't have the hardcopy, what is shown on the downloadable manual from the device provider)?
Check out the XDA-wiki pages if you're new to your device, it'll answer lots of questions you may otherwise be tempted to ask here needlessly. Newer WM 6.1 versions of HTC TyTN II ROMs (including the very latest UK released World Wide English - WWE one) have terrible GPS times to get a satellite lock when compared to the original WM 6.0 ROMs so if GPS functioning is important, for the mean-time until the ROM is fixed, you may want to have it reverted to an older ROM that works faster.

I never used to have problems then I sent my phone back for repair and they updated me to WM 6.1 which was the start of my GPS problems.
Anyway I've just set the external GPS to 9600 as suggest by CHfish and hey presto back to a fast fix. Don't set anything else on the external GPS as this can really bugger up your internal GPS.

WM6.0 for diamond

hello,
is someone know if a WM6.0 rom is availlable for the diamond ?
This version is needed because one of my software doesnt run both on wm6.1 and 6.5.
thr only way to make it work is under 6.0.
in case this is not possible, can you advice me a device (wich can be findable in the market) with all the feature of tytn2 ad downgradable to wm6.0.

as the drivers from wm6 and 6.1 are the same
strange that the software only works on 6.0 never
heard of such a thing wm6 and wm6.1 are 2 of the closest
roms around

6.5 Roms SLOW on x1

Ok so maybe the only here experiencing this? i hope not.
thus far i've tried a bunch of roms like the
Christian_WWE_3607_Full,
EnergyROM_28008_KOVSKY_02.Dec.2009_Standard,
x1_firestorm_v5.0.28005LEO-MAX
i like them all however i favor ..the energyrom ...
the only issue is they all are slow... boot up is ridiculous.
so i restored my device to a 6.1 official rom and the device is suddenly very pleasant and fast.
with that said I'd really really really like to switch to 6.5... why are these roms slow?
is it a 3d driver issue? i installed the x2 display driver on my current 6.1 rom and .. well its already quick so i dont know if it made a difference. do i need to install the same driver on the 6.5 roms?
please advise.

6.5 Roms SLOW on X1i
I too am finding Roms based on Manilla 2.5 slow. Using Roms with Manilla 2.1 are much more sprightly but lack a few of the features in 2.5.

Think about an old computer with preinstalled window xp. What happen if you decide to upgrade to Vista? it will slow down the computer for sure and this is why sony doesn't have official winmo 6.5 upgrade for xperia. Anyway, Gtrab and Jerp are two fastest ROMS I experienced so far.

uh. no. this doesnt apply.
the x1 is hardly a "slow computer".. your comparison doesntly apply.
i brought up the d3 driver because that maybe it considering its not an official rom from SE meaning maybe something is missing?

Umm, well, zizoty, why does X2 has nearly same specs, but is coming with 6.5? It's just about optimization I believe. 6.5 Roms without manila (Like SEX1 5.7) do work smoothly and fast actually.

You guys are right! I guess we all have to wait for the official release of x2 and dump it content into the X1.

i plan on trying it myself but i have to flash to a 6.5 rom first. ...
if you do try the driver with winmo 6.5 please report if you notice any improvement and with what rom.

for the slowing problem, try changing the pagepool, you can find the link in this forum easily.
Anyway, usually, pagepool already changed to a larger number by the cooker

I have tried quite a few ROMs 6.5 and so on but I'm currently running a stock 6.1. Guess why.

I have tested OpenGL abilities of a few WM 6.5 ROMs, too bad I didn't actually write down the actual numbers, but I can say that the ROMs I tried all made the scores drop around 25%, and the X2 ATI drivers didn't help much. The stock ROM however, gets a little boost with the X2 drivers, which might not be worth, playing with the original ROM.
