chance on better signal strength, also chance on higher battery drain
you need h-spl for radio update
yes to both, you flash radio as u flash rom: either ruu or sd
consider changing rilphone.dll as well (matching the radio version) as the new radio might support new commands which are in ril, so os can use them

Where/how to get Radio Rom 1.20.00.11?

Greets.
Where or how can I get the radio rom 1.20.00.11.
There are Roms with it, but they are full roms. I only need the radio rom part.
Also, is the radio rom 1.20.00.11 equal to all the phones sold? Or is it brand specific?
Thanks.

use NBHextract.exe to split full nbh rom to nb files. radio part would be called 05_GSM.nb . It can be flashed either with MFG bootloader or with SSPL after converting it back to nbf (containing radio only) with nbhgen. Search will help you in obtaining this tools.

They are supposed to be. But I've got some doubts 'bout it recently (some things yet need to be researched): so be extreme carefull dealing with SoftBank devices or CHT ROMz.
So this will work if I just want to get the GPS, and not alter everything else?(language, os, settings, etc?)
and will this method leave the bootloader at the original 1.05 ?

Flashing Radios

i have tried the SSPL and it works, i can flash the 3 roms i have found for the breeze
RUU_BREE100_1.13.251.2_1.06.00.10_QtekEUR_Ship_R3
RUU_BREE100_1.32.251.1_1.29.00.10_HTC
RUU_BREE100_1.34.251.1_1.38.00.10_HTCEUR_SHIP
but since i flashed the 1.38 radio rom without using this sspl. whenever i use the sspl i can only flash the rom not the radio. my phone is now stuck on the 1.38 radio which drops calls after about 30 mins and the battery life is really crap, i am on area where u get full 2g or 1 bar of 3g so its doing its trademark searching and killing the battery.
I have tried duttys tool with the radio extracted and put on the SD card and flashed but no joy.
my device is not SuperCID i just use the SSPL to bypass it.
anyone got any ideas how i can flash the 1.29 radio or for that fact any radio to phone instead of the rom?
i've read that many have tried 1.20 radio to solve a few problems but i have no idea how i can flash this. I have tried to make my own rom with the tools here but again they just flash the new OS living the radio 1.38.00.10. i am downloading RUU_Radinly_1.20.31.10.exe and will flash it if i knew how. SSPL just turns around and says invalid ID error 244. so its like the radio isn't designed for this device.
anyone got any idea ?
1.29 is even worse than 1.38... Missed calls in full GSM coverage (4 bars), horrible sound quality (either you or called party can't hear most of the conversation)... Don't even try it!
And concerning the problem not being able to flash new radio:
As I already wrote in this thread, flashing Radio ROM 1.29 (and above) also flashes new Radio Bootloader 0108 (different thing than Phone bootloader) which requires SPL 1.09 (or newer) to flash Radio ROMs.
Current SSPL for Breeze is based on some older SPL which, as you found out, isn't compatible. Until someone creates SSPL for Breeze based on SPL 1.09 or SPL 1.10, you're stuck just like me...
thanks very much for the post explaining it. i have read someone might make a new sspl with the new spl's in mind so as you said, we have to wait and i guess i will. i am however going to send my breeze back to HTC because of the constant dropping of calls whether it is 10seconds or 35 mins, it drops it without fail.

Can downgrade the Radio version?

Hello
I am updating the radio version to the latest version 2_22_19_26I, but it seems the phone function works not well. I can not hear any sound from the phone and ear phone except the speaker.
Can the Radio be downgraded ?
Thank you in advance.
Brucebot
I believe it can be downgraded just fine, but as the old radio was meant for 1.1 (non-cupcake) and you're probably running a 1.5 so intheory it should cause problems. If you have Haykuros special SPL that needs the new radio and you downgrade you will brick, so the SPL needs to be downgraded. AFAIK you would just flash it with alt-s, but I'd wait for someone else to confirm that.
If your using Meltus's audiohack, that could be the problem.
I would like to know the answer to this, I lose the signal most days and have to reset to get it back.
But I want to be 100% sure I am not gonna brick the phone before I downgrade the radio
Well first, you should also post what SPL you have. The more the information the better.

Have anyone experiencing power lost?

With different custom roms, I experience very lag system and with very fast power lost. The device getting hot and less responsive. Even after reset (complete power down and restart), the system is slow. And it will use up 50% of power in an hour (without 3G / wifi / bluetooth).
Any idea on how to debug?
Thanks.
After HardReset? All Cookers suggest to make HardReset after flash; sometime they suggest to flash official ROM then Reflash the Cooked (some files after multiple flashing could bring some conflict, official ROM erase all of they).
D'rath
I don't think hard reset is a viable solution every time this happened.
No solution but I tell you to try:
1- Flash Official ROM
2- Make HR
3- Flash Cooked ROM
4- Make HR
5- Use device to see if you have solved problems (also install few apps, sometime problems isn't by ROMs).
If it doesn't solve then HTC Warranty ^^
D'rath
I am pretty sure it is a software issue.
And HR really doesn't make sense to me (as I did try sometimes before)
Could it be the reason that it always trying to establish internet connection but can't? I did just remove my SIM card yesterday.
leaving my phone on and wifi on AC plugged for an hour do solve the problem.
It is now responsive again.
Now I am suspecting the version of SPL makes the difference.
my stock SPL is 1.54 and I uses USPL 2.5 to flash new rom.
Most recent rom may based on SPL 1.56 and therefore 1.54 is not totally compatible.
Will test it for more days.

1.54 is compatible. If you use USPL and put stock rom (RUU_Signed_Blackstone_stockSPL154.zip) onto device and get SPL 1.54.0000 anf then re-use USPL before flashing any rom based on 1.56+ you are fine.

Which Radio ROM are you using?
Still testing if SPL is the factor.
My current Radio ROM is 1.14.25.24
I guess this is a very common one.
But after flashing 1.56 HSPL, the machine is now more responsive.
The battery did not drain now. Let's see in the coming days.

Note - I'm sure your already aware of this but after flashing HSPL 1.56 you must use a 1.56+ based rom or your colours will be distorted and phone would appear in flight mode.

It happens between 1.04 and 1.54.
But not sure if 1.54 and 1.56 is fully compatible.
I'd try the stock rom but I really can't use it for long. (bad functions)
The Radio ROM came from the stock ROM. HKCSL.

New Radio for Donut?

Is there a new radio for Donut? Is there a reason to install?
Radio
No, not yet anyway. Still the same one that we have been using. That being said I still find it helps to reflash the radio every so often, I flash quite a few roms and sometimes the radio gets affected somehow. For instance, bluetooth will get buggy and a radio reflash has fixed it in the past.

I agree, keep the radio zip file on your sdcard. I've also noticed audio problems can be fixed by reflashing the radio.
wont that screw it up if you have the special spl?

You mean to say if you keep the radio image that is made for the special spl on your sdcard will mess it up? Or are you saying that flashing the radio image that is made for the special spl will mess it up?
sorry, i wasnt clear, i meant wont flashing the radio image that is made for the special spl mess it up?
The 2.22 radio image wasn't made for the special spl. The special spl requires the 2.22 radio. No matter what spl you have you should have the latest radio.
You MUST have the 2.22 radio in order to install the special spl, you can reflash it afterwards with no ill effects.

ahh ok, i always wondered that, all the directions say flash the radio before the spl, but it would make sense that you'd be able to flash the radio afterwards now.
As long as you are flashing the exact same radio you can. Fixing the bluetooth issue and various audio issues by reflashing the radio has been verified by multiple members on XDA. I myself have had no bluetooth phone audio and AudioHack 1.4 had no effect until I reflashed the radio.
