I have a java game, tetris, the screen in my X1 is too small, please see the attached jpg, may be due to WVGA resolution, any method to make the screen adjustment? I use the internal java application to load this game.
Try This.. WVGA Fix 2
You are using bad java manager. Try newer version of esmertec jbed or myriad java from X2.

most Sony Ericsson games are Java based, so will run with the Diamond's built in Java software (Emersec (cant spell)).
They will run in the original resolution, so will look small, and will be relying on the number input as per the original Sony phone.
One good game i have found which runs well is 'Micro Quad', good racing game controls are on-screen.
Are you sure Emersec is built in? I haven't been able to play java files I'm using Panosha 1.7, do i need any additional files to play .jars ?
Esmertec Jbed

so only need to download any sonny ericsson game and play it?
i am also looking for car races games so i will try your sugestion.
For more info on how Java runs on Windows Mobile, see The (Java) MIDlet Bible (great article!).
To sum it up, you can, with effort, run some of the SonyEricsson games on your HTC, depending on the game, the resolution and what KVM (i.e. Java Virtual Machine for mobile devices) you are using.
HTC devices have built-in support for Java through Esmertec's JBed, but it is possible to switch Java engine as you like. Other engines may work better with your specific game.
Can you people tell me where i can find java game for Diamond? i try to use those for n95 but it uses only 1/4 of the screen.
im afraid most javagames are lowres, and therefore will showup very small..
never had a good experience with javagames on pda's
try nokia N80 java games its 352x416
it will take bigger size of your screen (not full screen but i little bigger than 240x320)
Hi, this should be very nice game, but there is one little problem - Diamond can not run it. Touch Pro has same problem. I must say, that I am very dissapointed that one of the most powerfull device on market can not run these games. Old TyTN 2 can run it OK.
It is not a case of the Diamond not being up to the grade, but rather that this old game has 4x as less pixels as that required of the Diamond. C'mon, you can do better than that can't you! How about Call of Duty 2? Try that out...
what do you expect? its one of those java ports...and java ports are crap. we want more wm native apps
Well, yes and no. Worms space oddity is not only one game that does not work on Diamond, or that works bad. Duken nukem 3D worked on my MioA701 (524MHz, QVGA) with almost 100FPS, but diamond? Barely 25. And no, it is not becouse of VGA, the game doesent run in VGA, but i QVGA, just resized to fullscreen. And this can not take 4 times more CPU power to do.
yes and no: the diamond still has 4x pixels to render than your crappy QVGA pda, and you said it all 100 / 4 = 25 fps
Well, but you must admitt, that there is difference between just resing image to VGA, and rendering image to VGA. And yes, i agree, if you render to VGA, than it is 100/4 = 25, BUT if you just resize picture to VGA, than it is not that bad. One example for all - VSBench. VSBench is resized to VGA on diamond, but it still does about 2800 points, like similiar devices, becouse the aplication is QVGA native. But SPB benchmark has 1600 points, which is 4 times less that similiar QVGA devices. So, there is only one solution - SPB is actually rendering to VGA, but VSBench is just resized - like other native QVGA games. And there should not be any performance loss.
Hello ,
For HTC Diamond2, the java games are not getting fullscreen.
I implemented setFullscreenMode(true)..Still no use.
Are there any specific jad attributes for HTC to make full screen?
Is there any other way to get full screen for java based games?
Please help me..
Cheers
Jony
Java games on HTC Diamond 2/Topaz
I can't find a way to play java games on my diamond 2, i've already searched on many sites and forum downloaded a lot of things but nothing is ok.
Ok guys i just want to get some help from more experienced people if it comes to PDA applications. Tibiame is cool mmorpg for mobile phones but, unfortunately, there is no windows mobile version. There are JAVA versions and symbian versions.
www.tibiame.com is the games main site
Java version can be ran on JBLEND , and application knows the resolution but only menu is full screen while actual game is very little and unplayable , unless u can see whats written on such a low screen. So what i basically want is making the game think my screen resolution is smaller and then stretch it to full screen (stretched pixels will be much better than what i can get now).
Other thing is running symbian application which resolution is 360x640, but i have never heard about running .sis on WM.
Thanks for help !
