[rom] 6.5 23053 for testers only!

I'm cooking 23053 rom for our himalayas, and I need some testing and advices.
Here goes 23053 build for out himalaya.
This release is for testers only and MAY BE UNSTABLE.

Known problems:
- Rom hangs in random situations, don't know why.
- If rom hangs, and then you will reset, theme goes to hell and everything gone wrong. <Fixed, non released yet>
- You only can quit from adding contacts with red phone button.
- No OK/Close button in adding contacts, works good after mapping any key as OK/Close
- Tmail.exe (messaging) don't show softkeys, but it exists and can be clicked. Maybe language problem
I really ask you to test that rom, find more bugs, etc.
Maybe you know solution for any problem with rom? Post it there!

Many thanks for swampy for OEM section (I modified the most), Sundream for kitchen (modified the most) and zjw for shell32.exe and some redist modules.

cool. thx for this release, yes, it hang for no reason, out of sudden when switching to ither apps
after reset the theme is mess up.
i think for 23053 build has a problem of creating calendar and contacts as the OK soft button is missing. (have to change camera hard button to OK function)
this theme u use the android theme is nice but can use dun use for the dialer skin

Okay, I will use android dialer, I also found some problems (shell releated) and now rom is SOOOO stable, but if it doesn't hang, I can't check that theme goes wrong after reset while hang (you know what I mean.).
Edit: I really tried to hang this rom, and I successed :L And after reset, normal theme is loaded, so problem is gone!
Edit: And yes you are right, You can't add contacts, but after undermapping any key to <Ok/close> it works good.
Edit: And another problem found, tmail (messages) don't show softkeys, but it exists and can be clicked <lol>

It's language problem.
23060 and other new builds leaked, So we gonna port them!
Hope it will fix some problems, my dear himalaya friends!

YAY 23420 ported! It is much faster, but stabler? Don't think so! We have some bugs, somewhere in rom, but I will find them!

another thing, wifi setting program can it be remove as its for blueangel while hima do not have wifi.

You are right, but there exists extension SD card with wifi functionality for himalaya, so WIFi can be used as well.

i have sdio wifi card, i have tested and it works after installing its driver. but the wifi program in setting cannot be used. its only for blueangel inbuild wifi driver.
it can be remove, save more space for more default ringtone or themes even

This ROM is so beautiful. One draw back is that the custom made Brian's taskbar used is not for the WM6.5 build after 23053 . There's another Brian's version particular for the version 23053++. I hope the chef will fix it.
The file name is Brians BWTaskBar _23053. Search for it in this Forum. It will resolve the problem with 'No start and softkey buttons' at the bottom of the screen. But you will loose the nice waiting cursor animation in this ROM.

Try this fix for the Home Button. It has worked on many roms for me.

Beautiful BUT problematic
I've been using this rom for the past 6 hours. It is by far the most beautiful rom to hit my HD but also the most problematic.
After flashing I hard reset and started it up. No sim recognized, it took several soft resets before it finally took.
Manila was slow and 'choppy' so had to reset many times.
Did not want to sync (it took several resets and one hard reset before it finally did)
Email worked at first then after last hard reset I get the 'Error Synchronizing'.
When I pressed 'soft reset' it went into hard reset, AGAIN!
Very beautiful, but too heavy, slow, and problematic for me.
Now, I would like to make it work so if someone can illuminate me on how to achieve it I will be very grateful.

Very fast ROM indeed but too many bugs and it's NOT for everyday use.The eye candy is great looking forward to more releases but for now I'm going to switch to another ROM.

Great rom I like the way it sets up.
One problem opera doesnt connect to the internet. When I type in the address it comes back with a white screen.

i cant see the ram disk size, wish i could attached the screenshot of the memory screen. If this was what you askd for.
Memory Screen(window) shows:

It shows only main memory and storage SDcard memory.

With 106 MB Ram there is no RAMdisk

Downloaded and installed.Great job! Everything works now. Except, at least in my case,no GPRS connection.I have configured my ISP properly with Network Wizard. Any solutions?
Sounds Notifications work OK, if you copy a new Ring tone to \My Documents\My Ringtones and set it as ring tone.

I'm afraid GPRS doesn't seem to be working for me either. I'd love to hear if anyone has got it to work as it's a great build other than that!

1. Can't add picture on my contacts
2. no ramdisk
3. applications seems not quite fast with executed
4. some minor bugs when installing apps
5. it would be good if the new keyboard SIP of wm6.5.3 has been added to this rom, still the old keyboard sip is inlcuded

man, there is only 2 free sectors free in romplace, 2 sectors is 8 kb...
It's very hard to test gprs connection because I cant test it on my own

Intro
This is a NEOPEEK Build.I made some changes.One of them adding the opengles 1.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=899801&page=3)
It's fast,stable,for daily use and it requires partition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyO6DOS1leQ)
How to Install
-Make the partition
-Copy all files in the root of the SD card
-Copy FROM THE FIX ARCHIVE the modules-2.6.27.46-dirty.tar.gz to SD root
-Open the npkinstall and run install.exe(After that the x1 reboots)
-Run Haret.exe to run Android and after the setup manager reboot
-Replace the Fix zimage in SD root
-Run Haret.exe to have the fix installed
-If u want you can install Basic and v1.5 app packages
v1.5 (additional apps)
To install them just copy them to the sd card directory(Cmparts must be there for the cm setting theme).
-CyanogenMod Settings theme
-Adw Black theme
-Nexus Revamped Livewallpaper
-Cyanogenmod wallpapers

You can now go to Cyanogenmod settings and change the colours of the notification bar,the time,the carrier colour and so...I've added my CyanogenMod theme.I have included the nexus live wallpaper,you can change the speed and the colours.i've also added Titanium backup to backup settings so you can do the rom updates without setting everything again.

I like this mod, it was working very well (exept the power off button) until it start crashing (mainly coreA) as soon as it was starting, making it unusable...
If you have any idea about that, i'll take it!

I'm currently testing this rom+kernel combination - up to now I'm quite excited, battery life
seems to be very good - my xperia is running for about 22h up to now, though i have to keep wifi enabled.
All apps work - and overall speed is also good.
Only wifi is a little bit buggy:

Somehoe dns resolving doesnt work. Anyone else having this problem ?
Update: with fixed ip and dns settings in wifi advanced section and a reboot
it works currently - gonna try it with dhcp settings again later
Update2: deactivated fixed ip settings now, and got dns + ip via dhcp and it works,
dunno why dns resolution failed before - strange
Update3: Enabling and Disabling wifi regularly is not safe, I often ran into an state
were wifi could not be reactivated - it just says error in menu.
Keeping wifi enabled and just deleting the network i was connected to is my
current workaround.

This is the only ext2 android build i got to work. For some reason all others hang.
The showstopper for me is that the lower buttons stop to work after some time, like answer call, hang up, navigation etc. Anyone know how to fix this?
It's also a shame that it doesn't mount the sd-card properly in Windows, I can see the driveletter but I can't access it.

look in the kernel thread there is a tutorial for reanable the keys. And you cannot access the ext2 partitions in windows because these are linux partitions. and please search bevor posting this question was asked so often...

To access your files use usb debugging mode for usb connection and qtadb or droid explorer as GUI

Yes, I saw the answer for the sdcard question in another thread, also the reload module solution.
While this "rom" seem nice I rather use another rom that doesn't mess up the keys for now.
Seems I can only use CWM or FAT32 based roms on my phone for some reason, the others hang.

I`m having a strange problem with the NPK Loader after a few boots it starts to hang with Kernel panic after 5 sec of prebooting

I might consider changing back to this version, how's battery life on this one?
