Is it possible to get this working on vogue? I understand that there's some things that need to be done to the kernel and the rom.
It works on kaiser already.

it is for devs to use in their rom cooking. as a user you dont do anythign with it. dont mess with it, especially when you have no idea what it is for.

1) If it is rooted yes, I suggest Manup's or JAC's eclair
2) No, Multitouch requires a compatible kernel and an app that supports it. If you want it I don't think any eclair rims have it right now so I would go with cyanogen's 1.6
3) No there is not, there is also no way to put more rom
4) No, not everything will work. Some problems are camera and highquality Youtube/videos/3d games. To find all broken things you may look at the first post and find either the "broken" section or the "not working" section

lol leave him alone, hes not a native english speaker (or if he is then let him have it )
Right now you should stick to a 1.6 ROM until 2.0 is stable. You can upgrade once its stable or you get enough experience to use it as it is now

Ok, I want to say first that I do have an Android phone already as my daily phone(Sprint Hero) that I have rooted, custom rom, special themed icons, so im not new to Android. That said, I was given a Sprint Diamond(DIAM500) and I do love this phone, I want to put an Android build on it, as well as a custom WM rom, but I am a total newbie to WM(I had an Axim X50v back in the day), so whats the process? Is it like my Hero, I had to root, use a custom recovery image, then flash a rom? I looked for a tutorial, but they all seem to assume that the reader already knows what they are doing. If any one has a link to a tutorial or can talk me through this it would be most appreciated, Thanks Guys!
I've been looking for hours on this site and many other sites and I CANNOT find what I am looking for ..yes I went thread by thread but I just CANNOT find what im looking for.Im wanting to run Cyanogenmod 6.1 on my g1 but I just dont know where to find the latest radio image/SPL/kernal.I might have found the kernal but I desperately need help finding everything anyways just in case I might have missed something. Thanks
umm did you try this? http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=HTC_Dream
It has links for everything that you need.
it showed me that i was running EBI0 but i could not download the new radio becasue im assuming its outdated and the link didnt work neither . =[ ?
OK I have a rogers dream so it's not exactly the same but I will see what I can do to help.
What do you have now? radio/spl/ROM
Do you have root?
Once you let me know these things I will see what I can find.
I have the Cyanogenmod 6.1 with the dangerspl . i think its the latest one. and I have 2.22.19.26I radio
OK Then I am misunderstanding what you want. As your already running Cyanogen 6.1
I might be wrong , but I think you are after this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139
its the radio/spl for the extra 15mb ram
note you will need a compatible kernel, if it is CM6.1 then I think the easiest to use is Firerat's Magpie, A friend set mine up but I'm getting into the swing of things
google for "firerat magpie" , but I can't remember if you need to be logged in to cyanogen to be able to follow links
just rooted g1 on 1.6 with androot and installed rom manager do i still need to upgrade the radio. i want to run 2.2 and possibly overclock it any help would be great
There are numerous Froyo ROMs available in the development forum. Each with their instructions on how to install them and the requirements beforehand.
Most of these ROMs will have settings which you can use to overclock. If you are rooted, which you'll need to be, then overclocking wouldn't be too difficult with the available apps already out there anyway.
depends on which rom you want.
I recommend Sparksmod 2.1 which is what i am currently using.
Its very fast , one of the best froyo roms out there.
OH and ive recently been hereing a lot of good things about superaosp dm rom, I might actually try it myself, if i do ill let you know how good it is.

SuperAosp is lighting fast. I am using it myself, and I garantee it works like a charm. See my sig for the link to the Developer site. (FYI it's in Spanish, so you'll have to translate it if you do not read Spanish).
Thanks guys I appreciate all the info. I just need a little help for a friend. I didn't want to flash a Rom on his phone and him being a noob have a bunch of stuff crash and him get nervous about trying roms. Since I don't have a g1 I haven't tried any roms for it. Really appreciate your quick responses.

The best thing to do is read the instruction until you understand what needs to be done. Once you feel comfortable and understand the DEV instruction. Then there should not be any problem.
Maybe let your friend trial a couple of ROM's before he settles on his preference?
