I am currenly searching online for a desktop cradle for my HD2.
The ones that appeal to me are advertised to fiot the T8585 ONLY.
I have the Australian Telstra Version of the HD2 which is the T9193.
My question is will my T9193 fit T8585 Accessories? such as Desktop Cradles/ cases/ batteries etc
I appreciate any help or advice
Thanks

Yes. Everything (and I mean everything) that physically works with the T8585 will physically work with the T9193.
Thank you for your reply. That is the answer I was hoping for.

I don't think any of them come with a case. I find that strange seeing as all previous HTC Touch models came with a carry case and I find this one to be more prone to fingerprint markings, etc because of its shiny case so I would've expected it to come with a carry case/cleaning thingie
confirmed that's no case but with screen protector. (Malaysia)

Maybe they want users to choose between a normal case and that special cleaning case with microfibres. Some people would undoubtedly complain if they were forced to pay a little more to get a cheap case that they don't want.
So are there any nice cases available already (Vaja... etc.)?
Strangely there isnt a user manual that comes with the sales package. Only a quick start mini booklet. anyone facing this problem? (Malaysia)

You can find the [VERY DETAILED] user manual on one of the two CDs in the box (under the glossy flat top cover)
I see. So the manual is in a PDF format and not a physical copy right?

Yes, just a PDF.
Well.. How do ya think HTC managed to have a lower starting price than the Cruise when it first launched?
It's all abt cutting costs...
No case, no manual, no car kit.. No cam/voice commander buttons, smaller batt, no microSD slot..

A few corrections:
- With the Cruise you had the option of buying it with or without car kit. In the local market here, the starting price for the Cruise without car kit and the Diamond is exactly the same
- No manual. My Cruise also came with a soft copy of the manual- no printed manual.
- No MicroSD slot but you have 4GB internal memory which must have cost more to make then the Cruise internal memory
- 3D drivers (even if they exist but are not working on the Cruise) as well as more development costs for the interface considering the Cruise has exactly the same interface as older HTC phones
- If you get down to detail, the box of the Diamond probably cost more to make because its shape is unique and not off the HTC mass production line seeing as the Cruise, Dual, Elf, TyTn II and others all have the same form factor of the cardboard box

Well bro.. I totally agree with your statements.
We in singapore didn't have a choice to get the Cruise without the car kit. And if I'm not wrong.. I did get the full manual booklet. Probably catered to different markets.
I can assure you that there is cost down on the Diamond production compared to the Cruise... it's just that it's been done VERY nicely - thats good work on HTC. Thats how the electronics industry survive... Cost cutting. I used to be consumer electronics industry.. so I'm pretty sure of it
Hows Dubai btw? Was thinking of migrating there... too crowded here in SG.
From Hong Kong, Diamons Shaped box: No case, screen protector.
Hi there!
I'm about to receive my o2 XDA Diamond in a few days.
As far as i know already, there are differences between the german o2 xda diamond and the "original" HTC Touch Diamond.
Can someone please list up these differences?
I thougt about buying equipment to the phone (car mounts, battery packs and so on), but i'm unsure about wheter they will fit or not.
If the difference is just the case: does anyone know wheter there are replacement cases so i can make sure my xda diamond will fit any htc diamond equipment?
Thanks in advance,
Incom
O2 is the same as the HTC physically apart from the corners on the HTC are angled. All mount/accessories will fit fine

Replacement backcovers for bigger batteries too?
hmm, noone knows?
hellooo. Baught an OEM HTC miniusb to 3.5 mm stereo converter for my g1. Tried headset/speaker widget. no go. When i plug the headphones (with adapter of course) no sound out of headphones. Any ideas or fixes for this? Thanks
what radio do u have
stock radio version. think the newest radio would make any bit of difference for this matter? when i hear "radio" i imagine the part of the phone that gives signal.. am I wrong?
just flashed newest radio. didnt fix a thing.
did a bit more research.. and realized that the adapter i have - although HTC OEM - is only 5-pin, and to my knowledge I am in need of an extUSB --> 3.5mm
So... would THIS http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-EXTUSB-TO-3...d255487e5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_2389wt_1165 Be the correct thing for my g1?
Also, Would THIS http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-11-Pin-to-3...5a2d3d8ee&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_3568wt_1083 Work? Anybody ever used one? Looks kinda huge..
my OEM htc adapter wont work by itself. I use the headset toggle widget and it works perfect. You insert your adapter and click the widget twice.

dude be cool... your dream should have come with an adapter when you bought it. if anything, go to frys buy the HTC adapter they sell. make sure you dont buy one made for blackberry or samsung. HTC makes one that they sell.... it may be the one you bought and you may have just gotten one with a bad pin. happened to me before
on a better note. i hope you get it working, i know it can be frustrating when you have a fine piece of technology like the dream and want it to work at its full potential

did not obtain my dream through HTC or t-mobile, got it on craigslist and came with nothing. not sure what frys is? but im just going to try an HTC extUSB changer from ebay. Thx
hey, does anyone know where I can get the European (not UK) prongs for the OEM HTC adapter? I don't need the whole adapter, just the part that slides in and out. I'd prefer a US located business, but if anyone can provide a link to where I can buy this, that would be awesome.
http://www.travisgarrison.org/temp/adapter.jpg
I have not done a search for these, so I do not know if they are available, but my suggestion is just buy a standard USB plug charger with the pins you want, it will probably be easier to find in the US and a lot cheaper than a HTC plug.
Same voltage.
Amazon do them, but you can probably find cheaper elsewhere.
http://www.amazon.com/International...e=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1274803914&sr=8-2
Yeah, that's what I'll do if I can't find what I'm looking for but I'd much rather prefer the interchangeable route.
You could try one like this..
http://www.pangadgets.com/proddetail.php?cat=7&prod=MCWOADUSB&gclid=CLX5waql76ECFVVo4wodo3JFIg
It can be used worldwide, and as spare at home
Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions, but I'm really just looking for that specific part. I already have lots of alternatives if I'm unable to find it.
When I saw the plug that came with the HD2 I thought it was a great idea - the same adapter for everyone, and just swappable pins. Was a little disappointed there was no euro/US pins also in the box - that would have added, what, 5p maybe to the price?
Even more disappointing if they don't sell just the pin parts separately.
Only solution I know is to get the official htc travel pack you can find it here.
The eu plug will be inside there. Of course also the us and australian and a case and a charger and cable as well. In my opnion a bit overpriced. But the only solution I know.

item in post #4 above is cheaper, does the same job, and I am sure you could get a set on ebay even cheaper.

the item above is exactly what I'm looking for. I don't think you're understanding that the point I'm trying to make is that I don't want the whole charger but just to find the prongs that slide in and out. Yes, you're right that the OEM knock-offs will do the job, and are much cheaper, but that's not what I asked for.
With that said, I'm certainly not paying the price they are asking for the travel kit. I may be picky but I'm not as stupid as HTC seems to think their customers are.
I am also looking for this "HTC EU Plug for TC P300 International Travel Charger" (this was the description that I came up with)..
Thanks to czacha234 I found the plug adapter!

I called the USA branch of expansys and they ordered it for me. It was $8.99. Kinda spendy but way better than the 40+ that people are charging for the whole kit.

Question:
is a product compatible with a HTC HD2 T8585 compatible with a HD2 T9193?
Just need to know as I'm trying to buy new stuff and hope it doesn't matter.

You mean form factor? The only HD2's with a different size are the T-Mobile US models, all others are called 'International'.
Well I want to buy this wall charger thingo, and it says it's for the HD2 T8585, so if that ISN'T the Tmobile US model then am I safe?

I haven't a clue, I don't know what your voltage is in Australia. Look at your countrys voltage and compare it with the charger and if the glove fits, your in action.
