Hi,
What I am asking is why my Xperia always refuse me when I dial *363# ?
Everytime I dial that USSD number, it just says, command not supported.
*363# is a USSD for my celular operator to choose my Internet connection package. Is there any tweak or application to solve this problem?
FYI: I've installed "PREPAIDSTATUS.PPC" from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349955&page=2. But I think it didn't solve my problem.
AFAIK USSDs are provided by the operator, not the phone.
I have the same problem - XPERIA can't work with long USSD.

Hi,
Can somebody explain how to setup my diamond so I can call anonimus?
(the reciever may not see my mobile number on his mobile)
Thanks
Unfortunately rather complicated :
Settings-->Phone--> Chose "Caller ID"--> Click "Get Settings"
There you can tell the phone to provide your caller ID to :
- Everyone
- No one
- Only to contacts
Does anyone know of an easier way ? I Hate this procedure.
i believe its a operator svc option.
at least I have to pay locally every month to get this service.
OK... thanks... "problem" solved

On Orange, if you prefix any number by #31# it will call anonymously.
Or on any UK network, you can prefix the number with 141.

thats a GSM code. it should work in every network.
in some networks you can use #31# and the press send to deactivate CLIP for each call. *31# will activate again. just try it, if it is not working you only get an error message.
hi, i have a tytn II , when i make a videocall to any device who supported 3g this answer me like a voice call. And if any device want make a videocall to me - the dial signal is present, but I don't see anything(incoming ring or any action) on my device . please help me, cause i cant find any solve to my problem !!!!
What location/operators?
At my place until recently 3G video call was only supported when staying on the same network, i.e you could not place a video call to someone on a different network than you. I'd check with the operator, or try putting your SIM in aonther phone and try again to see if it's really due to the phone or not.
i tried to change the SIM and it not give me any changes. i try to make a video call to device who is in the same network "MOLDCELL". in my country exists another network that suport 3G "Orange" and I try the same thing, result is the same.
may be is a bug in my ROM(1.27.12.32) ??? maybe a must do change it ?
i tried to put my SIM in another device and its OK, i can make a videocall, result that the problem is in my device. Have somebody any ideas?
I solved this problem.... i installed wm 6.1 and videocalling is work
I've tried most of the apps in the marketplace and none seem to work on the Hero.
There are two types of App, the first is used directly, that is you type your number into the app and in theory it should first dial the local access number before dialling the number you entered. This type of app complains with USSD MMI errors
The 2nd type of app should detect that you are attemtping to dial an intl number and intercept it, dialling the local access number before dialling the number/ contact you entered. With this type of app the detection does not work, you end up making the call directly using your normal mobile operator.
None of the apps work:-
Accudial
CellularLD
Calling Card Pro
Phonecard Express
Vopium
Voxofon
The developer of Calling card pro aknowledges the problem with Heros and in particular those that run custom ROMs.
Anyone found a solution ?
Connection problem/ Invalid MMI
Looks as though I am not alone !

Well I have found that Truphone works, they do no thave the best rates but it is better than nothing and better than dialling my phone card manually and entering the access number and pin.
It looks as though it is the "#" that gets inserted into the dial string by these type of apps that causes the problems.
Morning,
I would say Google Voice should be the best solution if you are based in the USA.
Good luck.
1) There is known bug/problem in Galaxy S with eclair 2.1 that USSD code stops working after some time in . I faced this problem for many days and was unable to use some GSM services like balance checking etc. I did not find any solution for it on internet.
Luckily, I was able to pin point the cause which was creating the USSD problem and just want it to share so that your time can be saved.
I observed the mobile tracker is causing the problem. As soon as I turn it off USSD works fine. When the mobile tracker is On then USSD is screwed up again. I am sure there may be other apps which can cause similar problems ... please share if u find any...And of course all galaxy S users..please confirm if the mobile tracker is casing issue in your phones as well??
2) Edit Update - For those who find "Mobile Tracker" is not the root cause --
Backup your important data.
You have to do a clean install / Factory RESET once again... try to isolate the problem causing app by installing the apps one by one and checking the USSD code functioning...for me it was mobile tracker on galaxy s Android 2.1 .....
I know this is quite tiresome work when you want lots many apps on your device...
But then you have to make a choice.
3) USSD code error when i do a speed dial..
Please hold speed dial digit for few seconds instead of using # then number OR number then call...
I have the same issue and I really don't know what's causing it. However when I put the SIM from an older contract (same carrier) USSD codes work.
However with the sim/contract I got the phone with, I get the following error "You don't have access to this service".
Might be related to the fact that the contract isn't fully activated or something like this
USSD Balance Check Problem Solved / Solution.
Samsung Galaxy S I9000 USSD command output problem solved, thanks to Ravi4Chahal.
Problem:
when i run my balance checking command *124# the USSD command executes but no output displayed,
Solution:
I disabled the mobile tracker in Settings -> Location and Security -> Mobile Tacker -> Disable
I too had a similar problem that I was only able to solve disabling Mobile tracker.
Does anybody know of a way that we can keep the mobile tracker on?
Its really a great tool in case your phone gets stolen
Thanks a lot,
I have samsung i5801 i just switched off the mobile tracker, now i can check the balance and also it shows the balance after the call is ended.
But the mobile tracker is a good utility wat should i do make both work properly.

but still, i'm not getting "last call charge" message
Vodafone India
I recently upgraded to leaked Froyo 2.2 XXJPH, it seems USSD problem is resolved in this version. USSD code running fine along with mobile tracker at the same time.
Cheers!
Thanks Ravi! I was also facing the same problem but wasnt able to figure as to what was causing the problem. Now I can atleast check my balance by disabling the Tracker temperorily.
Samsung Galaxy S: Mobile Tracker is the problem indeed! I was wondering why I couldn't check my balance any longer... Thx!
Since Froyo seems to fix the issue, all we have to do is wait

hello all
i am facing the USSD code error when i do a speed dial.
after reading here i see my mobile tracker isant marked even wich means it is not working and disabled but i still have the error.
if i try to mark under mobile tracker wich is Set mobile tracker it asks me for a password.
the mobile tracker it self is grayed out and it says i need to log into my samsung account in order to use it.
so mobile tracker is not working and still have the error what could this be ?
would love to fix this using speed dial allot
If it isn't "Mobile Tracker" then it must be some other app causing the issue. Backup your important data and do factory reset. Most probably it would solve the problem.

I have a similar problem with my GT I9008L. I tried all solutions but no change. I think it's probably due to the fact that the phone is from china and its firmware csc is solely china while i am outside china. Can anybody help me there? Many thanks.
Hi,
I'm using Xperia Z1 purchased in India currently using in brazil.
I face a very annoying issue whenever I try to call any number with the state code and country code '014' gets added automatically to the number and the call does't connect. I looked at the settings there are no such options to block this. This issue doesn't happen when I call local numbers without the state/country code.
For example when i dial +55-61-12345678 it changes automatically to 014-61-12345678 and it says that number does not exist. I face this problem even when I dial 0055 instead of +55, it also exists for all the country codes. I also tried a complete factory re-set but this problem still persists. If anyone could help me it would be great.
Thanks in advance

This could be an issue from your SIM. 014 is one of Oi's long distance codes; Oi has a setting (on the SIM menu) to add its long distance code to any number you dial. So, it is intercepting the call and changing it to use Oi's code. Your best bet would be to enter the SIM menu and try to disable that option, and add the operator code manually to any number you dial.
