Finding the new rooting method

Howdy
i want to develop for the tatto:click ive developed for the g1 magic mt3g hero nexus in writing software which roots devices for you.
what i need off of you guys is simple, i just want your hboot info n kernel so i can get to work on a solution.
i will then post up my findings for you all to try

[HOWTO] Flash original firmware on P500

You need to download the firmware of your device. Please check here the The_ERROR thread wich explains it very well:

Download KDZ updater from here and uncompress it

Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
Conect your device (do not turn on disk storage) and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
Select Type : 3GQCT
Select PhoneMode : DIAG
In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded in the first step
Press Launch software update and wait (It will be 10 minutes or so). In your phone it will appear "Emergency mode". Wait until it reboots.
And you're done!

Yes you can.

yes you can. I rooted my phone, installed a custom recovery and megatron v1 (very good )
I tried yesterday this method and It works !!! Just a bug at first boot. I had to take off the battery at first boot because my phone has bugged at the first boot. I re-flashed a second time to be sure but after, It works perfect with the official rom

The best way is that u make a nandroid backup before flashing the first time and if u want the original rom flash the backup

Yeah I'm a Noob I made a NAND backup then formated the sd by accident when I was creating a ext3 partition...
Two more questions
Will this remove root and custom image?
My original firmware isn't available technically I can use any original rom right?

You are trying to flash the new firmware.
I can't garantee it works.

Edit: Try to flash it with other PC. DOn't forget to install msxml.msi and the LG drivers.

@Warfab The new firmware should have been installed successfully. I've down it.
Have you installed msxml.msi. And do check if the kdz updater can read the phone. just hit the read phone info button.
And try to run kdz updater in admin mode...

Already installed msxml.msi before using kdz updater. If I try to "Read phone information" from kdz updater, kdz updater hangs after a few minutes.
BTW, I can't successfully sync my contacts using LG PC Suite IV but I can successfully sync other items like bookmarks, etc. It's only the contacts that have problem syncing.

I too cannot sync my contacts using LG suite. Export your contacts as .vcf file and save it to sd card. And then import from the sd card.
Regarding the other problem, the kdz updater hangs if you run it and then even touch the phone (I too faced this problem). Run the software and keep your phone at least 5 ft away from you till the job finishes
Don't operate your phone after you launch the kdz updater...

Don't have problems with backing up contacts since I found other ways which don't involve the LG PC Suite

So you're saying it has something to do with the proximity sensor? Okay will try anything. Will do the update later

No no, this has got nothing to do with the proximity sensor. Just don't operate the phone while you use kdz operator

To sync contacts with LG sync you need to turn on wifi.
That works for me.

The thing is, I don't operate the phone while updating and it's still giving me the same error. I just turn on the phone then press the update button. That's it. No messing with the phone while phone is the process of being updated.

Strange. Are you sure the KDZ updater identifies the phone.
Try reinstalling the drivers in your PC. Better still try to use another PC. I installed the firmware with no problem at all.

If kdz updater hangs try to disable Lg modem device in device manager.It helped me.

In the end.
HARD RESET to install the new rom.
1st you have to install the drivers from LG.

Thanks for this very useful guide, it helped me downgrade from an unrootable fw, to a rootable one.

I tried to flash CWM on my LOLLIPOP my phone rebooted and now only shows black screen and FAT partition on my PC .
Inside this partition only two folders (Image & Verinfo)
Is there any way to fix my phone ?

Flash Kdz of your phone back using flashtool
it will solve it,if your PC can still recon your phone,and if not just take it to LG care centre of your country

You da man! Seriously! I was paranoid and sweating thinking i destroyed my phone! These steps work a trick to recover. I didnt manage to use the Downloader portion for the .kdz file, however I used the LG Mobile Support Tool.
Steps are correct to the tee

I used this to fix my phone, however I stupidly thought I could load the recovery image in the loader.img process, and now my phone is bricked even more. My phone doesn't show up in "This PC" (I'm on Windows 10) but in device manager, it's under "other devices" and it's named "QHSUSB_BULK". So I was wonering if you knew how I can fix it now? Thanks.

Failed to detect my phone
After following the steps, my phone can now turn on but my computer is detecting my phone as Marshall London Bootloader Interface. So now I don't know how I will flash D410 .kdz via LG Mobile Flash Tool coz my computer cant detect my phone.

Preconditions.
1 - Device must be rooted! Read some other manual.
2 - Commands in steps below are for OS Windows

Manual for intall new recovery ...
1 - Download this ZIP - fastboot + recovery --> http://leteckaposta.cz/842175615 and unzip this folder
2 - Download some custom rom - CM or Carboon ROM or LiquidSmooth or Ressurection Remix ... for exmaple PAC-ROM( https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982086994939 )
3 - Download some GAPPS - for example Pico gapps - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=31528
4 - Copy this ZIPs (from step 2 and 3) to SDCard (for exmaple on computer if you not access to your mobile)
5 - Install driver to PC for your phone

Now let's go install recovery!!!
6 - Go to unzip folder in step 1 and run command: fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version ... there sould be written <waiting for device> --> this is OK ... if you don't have message waiting for device, you must start again or use some other manual
7 - Turn and hold VOLEME UP BUTTON ... now turn POWER BUTTON --> flashes blue diod (always hold volume up button) and now --> connect USB to PC and blue diod must stay shine blue diod = FASTBOOT MODE - on the command line in your computer you should get message: version 0.5 --> this is correct state
8 - Now run command fastboot flash boot boot.img ... this is installation of recovery

9 - If installation OK - run command fastboot reboot and many times press VOLUME UP BUTTON
10 - If you did all right so now it should be in RECOVERY MODE ... here you must install ROM and GAPPS
-------------------------------
11 - For installation you need ZIP with ROM and some GAPPS (from destination in step 4) and some SuperSu (for beginning this SuperSu is not important)
12 - Before installation in step 10 you should format INTERNAL sdcard if you want have clean system ... I repeat it ... INTERNAL sdcard
13 - After installation you run WIPE cache and DALVICK CACHE in recovery mode
These steps work. I do it very often according this way. If you have some problem so you can write here.

Micromax canvas A1 bricked, pls help!!!

hi,
my micromax a1 was runnning marshmallow 6.0.1 when during a security patch update installation got stuck and failed to boot again. now just booting into "dead android with exclamation mark". upon pressing power button and volume up and going into recovery(Android stock recovery) menu , cant wipe partition or data as it throws error "E: failed to mount/ cache" errors..
upon trying to install with any SD card also throws same error.
then i tried to install through ADB, while connecting to PC , PC not detecting mobile in recovery mode but detecting in bootloader mode. with fastboot flash command (for installing TWRP/CWM) in bootloader mode, error coming as "sending recovery failed(unknown status code)" .
Kindly help...

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD the FLASH TOOL from this this link :LINK TO DOWNLOAD FILE
It is almost 30 MB in Size. And EXTRACT / UNZIP it to Desktop ( OR SOMEWHERE ) of your computer.
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD LOLLIPOP FLASH FILE
DOWNLOAD LINK FOR LOLLIPOP: HERE
After downloading this flash file EXTRACT / UNZIP it to Desktop ( OR SOMEWHERE ) on your computer.
STEP 3: NOW INSTALL DRIVERS:
YOU NEED TO BE ON WINDOWS 7 TO INSTALL DRIVERS (WINDOWS 8 DOESN'T SUPPORT THIS DRIVER / PHONE IS NOT DETECTED)
DOWNLOAD DRIVERS from this link : HERE
EXTRACT AND INSTALL THE DRIVERS : Next next next and finish If you see an security warning ( a red coloured pop up ) choose INSTALL IT ANYWAY
IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU TO RESTART YOUR PC.
STEP 4:
Now we have Extrated /unziped 2 files. One is FLASHTOOLS and other is FLASH FILE and Extracted it or unziped it to Desktop or Somewhere.
One of it having the name SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00 or open both folders then one of it having the flashing tool. OPEN THE FOLDER NAMED SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00
it contains an application named fashtool.exe OPEN IT
NOW THE APPLICATION IS ASKING FOR SCATTER LOADING FILE
its a txt file which is on the extracted flash file folder
BROWSE it by clicking Button named Scatter Loading
click OPEN
STEP 5:
HERE IN THE DROPDOWN BOX, IT SAYS DOWNLOAD ONLY, CLICK ON IT AND SELECT FIRMWARE UPDATE ONLY.
IF YOU SELECT FORMAT + DOWNLOAD, THEN YOU WILL LOOSE IMEI NUMBER.
NOW CLICK DOWNLOAD BUTTON ( GREEN ARROWED BUTTON NAMED DOWNLOAD )
IN CASE YOU LOOSE IMEI NUMBER, THEN REFER HERE
STEP 6:
Now SWITCH OFF your PHONE and REMOVE BATTERY
STEP 7:
CONNECT your PC via USB CABLE
wait for the driver Detection.
THE FLASHING PROCESS WILL START AUTOMATICALLY you can See the progress in progress bar which is on bottom of flashing tool Application.
WHEN IT IS FINISHED DISCONNECT USB AND RESTART YOUR PHONE.
NOW YOU WILL GET LOLLIPOP UPDATE IMMEDIATELY.
NOW REFER HERE TO ROOT MARSHMALLOW

Device is dead
My phone is neither switching on, nor charging.
I flashed the stock ROM due to some problem with the rooted device through SP Flash tools. It completed successfully, but the device is not switching on or charging.
KIndly help
