[HOWTO] Flash original firmware on P500

You need to download the firmware of your device. Please check here the The_ERROR thread wich explains it very well:

Download KDZ updater from here and uncompress it

Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
Conect your device (do not turn on disk storage) and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
Select Type : 3GQCT
Select PhoneMode : DIAG
In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded in the first step
Press Launch software update and wait (It will be 10 minutes or so). In your phone it will appear "Emergency mode". Wait until it reboots.
And you're done!

i rooted with z4 and loader custom image and installed amberhome 1.1
can i still do this to go back to original firmware eventhough i don't have a nand backup?

Yes you can.

yes you can. I rooted my phone, installed a custom recovery and megatron v1 (very good )
I tried yesterday this method and It works !!! Just a bug at first boot. I had to take off the battery at first boot because my phone has bugged at the first boot. I re-flashed a second time to be sure but after, It works perfect with the official rom

The best way is that u make a nandroid backup before flashing the first time and if u want the original rom flash the backup

Yeah I'm a Noob I made a NAND backup then formated the sd by accident when I was creating a ext3 partition...
Two more questions
Will this remove root and custom image?
My original firmware isn't available technically I can use any original rom right?

You are trying to flash the new firmware.
I can't garantee it works.

Edit: Try to flash it with other PC. DOn't forget to install msxml.msi and the LG drivers.

@Warfab The new firmware should have been installed successfully. I've down it.
Have you installed msxml.msi. And do check if the kdz updater can read the phone. just hit the read phone info button.
And try to run kdz updater in admin mode...

Already installed msxml.msi before using kdz updater. If I try to "Read phone information" from kdz updater, kdz updater hangs after a few minutes.
BTW, I can't successfully sync my contacts using LG PC Suite IV but I can successfully sync other items like bookmarks, etc. It's only the contacts that have problem syncing.

I too cannot sync my contacts using LG suite. Export your contacts as .vcf file and save it to sd card. And then import from the sd card.
Regarding the other problem, the kdz updater hangs if you run it and then even touch the phone (I too faced this problem). Run the software and keep your phone at least 5 ft away from you till the job finishes
Don't operate your phone after you launch the kdz updater...

Don't have problems with backing up contacts since I found other ways which don't involve the LG PC Suite

So you're saying it has something to do with the proximity sensor? Okay will try anything. Will do the update later

No no, this has got nothing to do with the proximity sensor. Just don't operate the phone while you use kdz operator

To sync contacts with LG sync you need to turn on wifi.
That works for me.

The thing is, I don't operate the phone while updating and it's still giving me the same error. I just turn on the phone then press the update button. That's it. No messing with the phone while phone is the process of being updated.

Strange. Are you sure the KDZ updater identifies the phone.
Try reinstalling the drivers in your PC. Better still try to use another PC. I installed the firmware with no problem at all.

If kdz updater hangs try to disable Lg modem device in device manager.It helped me.

In the end.
HARD RESET to install the new rom.
1st you have to install the drivers from LG.

Hello ,
Here's the steps you need to do :
notes :
make sure you have downloaded and installed the adb / fastboot drivers for your device . . .
make sure you have enabled developer options / adb debugging under settings on your device .
make sure you have download the latest : UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip and place it on your internal or external_sd
1 : Download and extract IntelAndroid-FBRL-07-24-2015.7z some where on your computer.
2 lug in your phone to the computer and enable dubugging . Then double click the launcher.bat file to start , type " ACCEPT " case sensitive without quotes to continue
check that the tool is reporting as either :
DEVICE STATUS: ADB-ONLINE
DEVICE STATUS: FASTBOOT-ONLINE
3 : Type 5 to select CWM . Then in the next windows select the trigger to launch the Temporary CWM Recovery Session . I selected T3 that worked for me .
4 : After selecting the trigger your device should reboot in to fastboot and begin to copy files to your device . If you have the dual boot model you have to open the tablet manually and choose android from choosing OS screen , then it'll boot to fast boot and begin coping .
note : if your device hangs at the waiting-for-device screen and you see droidboot CMD Waiting on your devices double check that the fastboot driver installed correctly.
note : if you see unknown oem command the trigger isn't supported by your device.
5 : The temporary cwm recovery session should be started at this point select install zip from the recovery menu using vol up / vol down to navigate and power to select .
6 : Select install zip from sdcard / external_sd depending on where you placed the file and select the UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip you downloaded earlier .
7 : Confirm the installation.
8 : After install completes reboot your device . If it ask to confirm rooting press yes .

Micromax canvas A1 bricked, pls help!!!

hi,
my micromax a1 was runnning marshmallow 6.0.1 when during a security patch update installation got stuck and failed to boot again. now just booting into "dead android with exclamation mark". upon pressing power button and volume up and going into recovery(Android stock recovery) menu , cant wipe partition or data as it throws error "E: failed to mount/ cache" errors..
upon trying to install with any SD card also throws same error.
then i tried to install through ADB, while connecting to PC , PC not detecting mobile in recovery mode but detecting in bootloader mode. with fastboot flash command (for installing TWRP/CWM) in bootloader mode, error coming as "sending recovery failed(unknown status code)" .
Kindly help...

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD the FLASH TOOL from this this link :LINK TO DOWNLOAD FILE
It is almost 30 MB in Size. And EXTRACT / UNZIP it to Desktop ( OR SOMEWHERE ) of your computer.
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD LOLLIPOP FLASH FILE
DOWNLOAD LINK FOR LOLLIPOP: HERE
After downloading this flash file EXTRACT / UNZIP it to Desktop ( OR SOMEWHERE ) on your computer.
STEP 3: NOW INSTALL DRIVERS:
YOU NEED TO BE ON WINDOWS 7 TO INSTALL DRIVERS (WINDOWS 8 DOESN'T SUPPORT THIS DRIVER / PHONE IS NOT DETECTED)
DOWNLOAD DRIVERS from this link : HERE
EXTRACT AND INSTALL THE DRIVERS : Next next next and finish If you see an security warning ( a red coloured pop up ) choose INSTALL IT ANYWAY
IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU TO RESTART YOUR PC.
STEP 4:
Now we have Extrated /unziped 2 files. One is FLASHTOOLS and other is FLASH FILE and Extracted it or unziped it to Desktop or Somewhere.
One of it having the name SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00 or open both folders then one of it having the flashing tool. OPEN THE FOLDER NAMED SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00
it contains an application named fashtool.exe OPEN IT
NOW THE APPLICATION IS ASKING FOR SCATTER LOADING FILE
its a txt file which is on the extracted flash file folder
BROWSE it by clicking Button named Scatter Loading
click OPEN
STEP 5:
HERE IN THE DROPDOWN BOX, IT SAYS DOWNLOAD ONLY, CLICK ON IT AND SELECT FIRMWARE UPDATE ONLY.
IF YOU SELECT FORMAT + DOWNLOAD, THEN YOU WILL LOOSE IMEI NUMBER.
NOW CLICK DOWNLOAD BUTTON ( GREEN ARROWED BUTTON NAMED DOWNLOAD )
IN CASE YOU LOOSE IMEI NUMBER, THEN REFER HERE
STEP 6:
Now SWITCH OFF your PHONE and REMOVE BATTERY
STEP 7:
CONNECT your PC via USB CABLE
wait for the driver Detection.
THE FLASHING PROCESS WILL START AUTOMATICALLY you can See the progress in progress bar which is on bottom of flashing tool Application.
WHEN IT IS FINISHED DISCONNECT USB AND RESTART YOUR PHONE.
NOW YOU WILL GET LOLLIPOP UPDATE IMMEDIATELY.
NOW REFER HERE TO ROOT MARSHMALLOW

My phone is neither switching on, nor charging.
I flashed the stock ROM due to some problem with the rooted device through SP Flash tools. It completed successfully, but the device is not switching on or charging.

Now The Solution:
1. Connect Your Phone To Your PC,
2. Check If it is in QDLoader 9006 mode or 9008 Mode
3. IF u r in 9006 mode, Skip to step 5...
4. if u r in 9008 mode then, Install Minitool Partiton Wizard!!!, open it, u will see 16 partitions, delete them all, remember do not create new partition, just delete 16 and create single unallocated space!!!!!!!!, Now U r in 9006 mode
5. Now Extract The Firmware zip, its of 600MB but after extracting it will be of 7.8 GB
6. Open EMMC Raw Tool
7. Click on Browse ( On the Right Side Under Write Section), Now Browse for the *.Bin File U have extracted,
8. Click on Load Partition Stucture From Write Menu
9. Click On Write Full Image.
10. It will take 10-15 mins.
11. just disconnect ur phone and power it on, here's goes the magic
u have an unlocked bootloader, and old lollipop rom,

how do u know if you're in 9006 or 9008 mode?

[GUIDE][QFIL] FLASHING QFIL IMAGES [YU Yureka Black]

Procedure For Flashing/recovering your Garlic using QFIL/QPST Tool
REQUIREMENTS :
-A working PC.
-Qualcomm Drivers.
-QFIL Tools (I'd prefer and recommend ver2.0.05 as it is much more efficient than the newer ones) *Required .Net Framework 4.5 or higher
-ADB Drivers (just in case if your phone ain't bricked and you don't know how to boot into edl mode)
-N/M Full Firmware files (No the N-Firmware or M-firmware files provided by me).
-Back up your internal storage as this would wipe the internal (I prefer it this way)
-If you are using the QFIL 2.0.05, then you should install the tool.
-Extract the Firmware file and copy it to <directory where you installed qfil>/Qualcomm/bin/ this is to avoid sahara failed error.
-In simple words, keep the extracted firmware files inside the QFIL's folder.
-Connect your phone to PC and type in adb reboot edl in adb terminal to boot into EDL mode, or reboot edl in terminal emulator.
-If you have installed all drivers properly, your phone should be listed under Ports in Device Manager as Qualcomm Diganostic Device xx9008 (note this number, this is important) if your are getting 900E or 9003 (in case of bricked phone) you need to make it boot into 9008 mode using Deep Flash Cable (Guides to this will be provided soon, or you could just refer Google).
PROCEDURE :
-Open QFIL Tool.
-Once the phone is connected in EDL mode, it will show up under the ports (automatically selected, still if for any reason, open up and select port)
-Select Flat Build.
-Select the Programmer Path. It will open up the file browse window, go to the location where you have extracted the firmware and select Programmer_emmec_firehorse file.
-Select Patch File and select raw_unspare.xml file.
Now select Patch.xml.
-Click Download Button and flashing process will begin. Wait till it finishes and hold down your power button to boot your phone.
