Bricked acer liquid e... on day 2

So I was following the rooting procedure on the unlockr.
Got to:
IV. Install Superboot and Custom Recovery Image
1. Download Superboot2.zip
Superboot.zip (updated 6/23/10)
2. Unzip the superboot.zip file.
3. Double click on the reboot-bootloader-windows.bat file and wait for the phone to boot into bootloader mode.
4. Then double click the install-superboot-windows.bat file and wait for it to finish. The phone will reboot.
well the problem is the phone hasn't booted yet... it posts acer screen, an acer + android screen then nothing... just backlight.

Does your PC recognize your phone?
So after the phone booted into bootloader, you did the install-superboot-windows and your phone rebooted to a blank screen?
If your computer does not recognize the phone, try to reboot into recovery and see if it recognizes it there:
1) Remove your battery and put it back in (leave the back cover off to make things faster/easier. I believe USB should be unplugged, not 100% sure. I think it was last time I did it)
2) Hold down Volume Down+Camera+Power. Phone should vibrate 2-3 times
3) Press power as if you are turning on the phone
This should get you into recovery (which I am assuming is stock recovery. You should see a picture of a little Android and a Caution sign in the middle of the screen). Plug in your USB and see if the Acer Flashing Tool recognizes it from there, if it does, re-flash the bin and try the process over.
I rooted my phone by installing Liquid Community Rom and following these steps here- http://code.google.com/p/acer-liqui...cker/wiki/HowToRootAndFlashLiquidCommunityROM .
Honestly, it is much easier to go about that way. And LCR is really good (it incorporates features from standard Android UI as well as the UI from the upcoming Acer Stream. Completely configurable plus features like Dolby Mobile and native DiVix player). If you don't like it, after installing, your phone would already be rooted with the latest recovery image so you can easily flash a different rom.

Thank you very much for the reply I actually ended up figuring it out. I was able to boot in to recovery mode. And used the signed community Rom to load the OS

Why dont they uppdate the liquid rooting page on unlockr. You have to read all the comments to not make this mistake.

When I updated mine I just pushed malezRecovery onto the phone with the adb shell, is superboot different from malezrecovery

i did the same as 'unacceptable'.

comp not recognising phone.
if i press camera+<back with usb in, it makes a sound but doesn't detect devise.
do you know how to get it to recognise phone?

found that if you up date 2 files into superboot folder, the phone will work, although not sure if phone is rooted. keep reading comments in unlocker
'TheShak' figured it out. i did what he said and phone works now.

When I tried to upgrade from 2.1 to the leaked ROM 2.2, after the Acer download tool completed several steps, it hanged somewhere and said "not connected".
Now I am still able to boot in recovery mode as you mentioned (Android boy with caution), but I repeat the same flashing procedure for many times but it still stops after completing the AMSS and say my phone is not connected, no matter what version of Android I flash (1.6, 2.1 or 2.2)
Please help, my liquid now is bricked !!!

I have the same problem but I can't even get into recovery.

so i tried the method that was on the unlockr.com without reading all the steps. I've since upddate the 2 missing files.
But, in the meantime, I have the black screen of death.
Can someone please walk me through what to do from here on in.

Same problem here.. I can't start the phone, nor boot it into the boot loader. It's stuck onthe black screen after the acer logo. Can anyone help?!?!

I've been able to get into recovery mode. no android guy with a caution sign tho.
anyways run factory reset many times, still not working...

I also have the same problem, the backlight screen, I have copied a rom.zip file to SD card and it started to update but after a while ıt stopped with the error "E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 2) Installation failed.
What should i do ?

[Q] Flashing to I9000ZSJPD

I just downloaded I9000ZSJPD from http://www.samsungfirmwareworld.com/official-samsung-i9000-galaxy-s-t449.html.
After extract it, I found JPE_U.tar(285MB) only. I suppose it is for PDA in Odin.
My question is if I flash using odin,
PIT = 803.pit
PDA = JPE_U.tar
Phone = Not necessary???
CSC = Not necessary? Or perharps, there is somewhere to download, please let me know..
I have froyo beta version I9000ZSJP2.rar, can I use it for Phone and CSC? I would prefer to get I9000ZSJPD if possible.
Should I Check Re-Partition or uncheck it? Make any different?

Currently using Lagfix1024.sh from tayutami(Quarant score = 2168) but still feel the stall too. Should I remove lagfix before I flash the firmware?
From some thread, to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2, we need flash to JM8 first then only can upgrade to 2.2.
With my current firmware version and I9000ZSJPD version, should I flash to JM8 then I9000ZSJPD?
I was thinking of using Kies to update with the reghack

I tried to flash CWM on my LOLLIPOP my phone rebooted and now only shows black screen and FAT partition on my PC .
Inside this partition only two folders (Image & Verinfo)
Is there any way to fix my phone ?

Flash Kdz of your phone back using flashtool
it will solve it,if your PC can still recon your phone,and if not just take it to LG care centre of your country

You da man! Seriously! I was paranoid and sweating thinking i destroyed my phone! These steps work a trick to recover. I didnt manage to use the Downloader portion for the .kdz file, however I used the LG Mobile Support Tool.
Steps are correct to the tee

I used this to fix my phone, however I stupidly thought I could load the recovery image in the loader.img process, and now my phone is bricked even more. My phone doesn't show up in "This PC" (I'm on Windows 10) but in device manager, it's under "other devices" and it's named "QHSUSB_BULK". So I was wonering if you knew how I can fix it now? Thanks.

Failed to detect my phone
After following the steps, my phone can now turn on but my computer is detecting my phone as Marshall London Bootloader Interface. So now I don't know how I will flash D410 .kdz via LG Mobile Flash Tool coz my computer cant detect my phone.

Micromax canvas A1 bricked, pls help!!!

hi,
my micromax a1 was runnning marshmallow 6.0.1 when during a security patch update installation got stuck and failed to boot again. now just booting into "dead android with exclamation mark". upon pressing power button and volume up and going into recovery(Android stock recovery) menu , cant wipe partition or data as it throws error "E: failed to mount/ cache" errors..
upon trying to install with any SD card also throws same error.
then i tried to install through ADB, while connecting to PC , PC not detecting mobile in recovery mode but detecting in bootloader mode. with fastboot flash command (for installing TWRP/CWM) in bootloader mode, error coming as "sending recovery failed(unknown status code)" .
Kindly help...

It is almost 30 MB in Size. And EXTRACT / UNZIP it to Desktop ( OR SOMEWHERE ) of your computer.
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD LOLLIPOP FLASH FILE

EXTRACT AND INSTALL THE DRIVERS : Next next next and finish If you see an security warning ( a red coloured pop up ) choose INSTALL IT ANYWAY
IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU TO RESTART YOUR PC.
STEP 4:
Now we have Extrated /unziped 2 files. One is FLASHTOOLS and other is FLASH FILE and Extracted it or unziped it to Desktop or Somewhere.
One of it having the name SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00 or open both folders then one of it having the flashing tool. OPEN THE FOLDER NAMED SP_Flash_Tool_exe_windows_v5.1424.00
it contains an application named fashtool.exe OPEN IT
NOW THE APPLICATION IS ASKING FOR SCATTER LOADING FILE
its a txt file which is on the extracted flash file folder
BROWSE it by clicking Button named Scatter Loading
click OPEN
STEP 5:
HERE IN THE DROPDOWN BOX, IT SAYS DOWNLOAD ONLY, CLICK ON IT AND SELECT FIRMWARE UPDATE ONLY.
IF YOU SELECT FORMAT + DOWNLOAD, THEN YOU WILL LOOSE IMEI NUMBER.
NOW CLICK DOWNLOAD BUTTON ( GREEN ARROWED BUTTON NAMED DOWNLOAD )
IN CASE YOU LOOSE IMEI NUMBER, THEN REFER HERE
STEP 6:
Now SWITCH OFF your PHONE and REMOVE BATTERY
STEP 7:
CONNECT your PC via USB CABLE
wait for the driver Detection.
THE FLASHING PROCESS WILL START AUTOMATICALLY you can See the progress in progress bar which is on bottom of flashing tool Application.
WHEN IT IS FINISHED DISCONNECT USB AND RESTART YOUR PHONE.
NOW YOU WILL GET LOLLIPOP UPDATE IMMEDIATELY.
NOW REFER HERE TO ROOT MARSHMALLOW

Device is dead
My phone is neither switching on, nor charging.
I flashed the stock ROM due to some problem with the rooted device through SP Flash tools. It completed successfully, but the device is not switching on or charging.
KIndly help
