Dead / Stuck Pixel Help - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone can help please, i don't know it's dead / stuck pixels on my screen (refer attachment). On the area of defection, sometime it will become small area and sometime it will grow to bigger area. On the screenshot, i'm running the "jscreenfix", but after almost 2 hours running, it remain the same with no changes. Please suggest any other method to fix other than replace a new screen since my topaz was already over the warranty period.

No one have solutions?

You can try to run a hard reset and see if its software related.

Kaiser 4 Colours of Death Again - HELP!

I've just got my phone repaired 2 days ago due to same problem and its dead again. It's showing me 4 colours bars, unable to boot or switch off. Please see attached photo.
Technician Notes on the Service Repair Job Card says " Reconnected Flexes, Loaded New Software and Passed all tests."
Whatever Flexes means? Hardware circuit board problem? Anybody knows whats that?
Its going to be another 2-3 weeks wait for Three Sydney to repair it....sigh....
I'm unable to find similar reported problem online. Anyone, please advice. It died when it shows nothing on the screen with blinking green light. I've not done any flashing or mod of any kind, its a 4 month old phone.
the flexes are what connects the screen/other hardware on the sliding face to the main board on the part that does not slide. Seems like your kaiser is putting itsself into bootloader for some reason. if you have knowledge of mtty maybe running some mtty commands would tell us more of why it seems to like to erase its on memory lol... there is a whole section in the wiki on mtty and I thread I believe also try contacting POF or OLI they have vast knowledge about the works of the kaiser
Thanks for the tips austinsnyc, after leaving it on with the bootloader screen for the whole night until it drain the batt completely, I was able to boot up again while charging.
I'm still interested to know why would it suddenly just go to bootloader screen, i'll read up on mtty.
Cheers,
JK
lol, you might have been fine if you just did a soft reset. but still that doesnt solve the issue of why it went into bootloader in the first place
Thanks for reminding about the soft reset, I tried that when it happen for the very first time I had this problem. That didn't help either and I had to send in for repair.
Whats the purpose of the bootloader anyway? In what situation would it appear normally?
you can manually place your device into bootloader by holding the camera button and then reset. a device going into bootloader out of the blue is usually never a good thing........unless maybe there was a situation where the camera button was somehow held down while your device restarted.

It's not software's problem, it's more hardware problem, exactlier touch screen problem, for this kind problem we can't do anything, just to send phone to repairing service, and to hope , problem will'not repeat, but from my expirience, just after 10-15 days of using, touch screen start to not responding, i scarried all htc diamonds after some period, became same, and i think this is generally problem of htc diamond 1st generation, maybe for htc diamond 2 , htc company solved this "strange" and big problem, cause this situation means, give money for nothing and problems!
Giving 2 years warranty is ****, if phone will start 3rd year of using with same problem, maybe is better to give 5 years of warrant , cause this problem
I don't know if you've fixed this but i had this very problem and it turned out if you wiped the screen over once then it would be okay.. strange i know but theres quick fix that worked for me.
I had the same problem, I send it to service and tey changed the display
I've same problem, the screen only works well when phone is cold, after warms up it shows the same sintoms
Got the same problem here - when the phone is cold its 99% ok, when it gets warm (or even hot due CPU heavy to flash websites), it starts with this touch screen "dance" (and empties the battery in maybe 2 hours by not going into sleep mode).
But I found out that somehow giving the lower screen border a "massage" does help. I guess there is some screen to board connection behind, which does not get 100% contact when the device is warm/hot.
last tuesday diamond came back from service with new screen....today the same problem

Well i tried to make some pressure but same problem. I can disassemble the phone and see if something is not in place, and also use some contact spray to improve connection. Did someone try something like that?
i had the same problem as you due to water damage from using it after a shower. sent it off for warranty and they sent me a refurbished one. sending it off again because it had bad whites and a dodgy centre button.
to bypass the screen alignment screen create a file called "welcome.not" and put it in the root directory of the phone. not in the internal storage, you must put it in the device storage.

Black screen, green led

Hi all,
I need help, or at least my Kaiser needs help!
Let me explain : a few days ago I saw that my waiting cursor was turning and turning. So I decided to perform a soft reset. No luck, the screen remained black after that.
After several soft resets, I thought it was time to do a hard reset. But it didn't work either!
I went through forums, wiki and lots of search engines, so my next move was to try the bootloader. Usuccesfully, except that now the green led is on. It doesn't blink, it's just green. And the screen is still black.
I've heard of white screen issues, of multicolor screen issues, but no case of black screen with the green led.
I never flashed my ROM, I don't use any cracked software and I allways take care of my phone, so I have no idea of what did happen.
What do you think about that? Is my Kaiser bricked? any comment ? Any advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Not Bricked
Hi
Sorry to hear your device has stopped working.
I don't think it's "Bricked" in the classic sense because you haven't done anything that would have damaged the boot section (IPL/SPL) of the ROM storage area (EPROM chip to be precise). It's possible that some part of the ROM memory has become corrupt on it's own. What were you doing at the time of the soft reset? If you were renaming/replacing files in the ROM of the device using a 3rd party file explorer this might have caused a problem of this kind but not much else.
It sounds more like some kind of hardware failure. Could you have damaged the Mini-USB port on the bottom of the phone? If you've never flashed a ROM, radio or splash screen then your manufacturer's (i.e. HTC's) warranty should be intact, if the device is within the warranty period. I think HTC offer a two year warranty period, but don't quote me on that. If you bought the item recently and have proof of purchase, you should probably take the device to the shop where you bought it and ask for a replacement under the warranty.
Cheers

Thank you but...
I'm not very proud of it, but when my phone started to be a mess, I was trying one of the "fart machine" cabs floating around the forum... Sad end for a Kaiser.
Unfortunately in France we only get a one-year warranty on this kind of product (to force you to sign for an extra warranty I guess).
Ok then, I think I can only sell it on [email protected] for spare parts now, to save at least a few bucks.
Thank you for your comment anyway.

[Q] Part of touchscreen ain't responding

Good day,
I've some little issues with my Xperia Z:
Suddenly my Xperia Z has dead pixels on the back camera. Always black spots since roughly a week. (Sending it in isn't a problem there I guess)
But also, in Hospital I let it fall around 1 metres and it has a single almost not visible crack in the touch screen.
Now there is the Problem: Everything is still working, but the touch sensor on the small broken side isn't responding anymore.
What can I do?
I don't care about the crack so I dont really want a screen replacement.
Regards.

Hi there,
I'm very sorry to hear about your problem. You can send it to the repair store under warranty (the dead pixel on the back camera is a known issue). About the 'crack in the screen', please see visit the following link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515293. If the 'cracked screen isn't under warranty, you can always tell them not to fix it. I hope I've answered your question. Good luck and please let us know about your issue:fingers-crossed:!
Hey Tally114,
Thanks for your kind answer and I will send it in beginning in december.

Note 8 Screen suddendly turn full flicker green !

Hello Guys !
I have a big massive Problem with my Note 8 SM-N950F.
I was watching Youtube and my Phone has worked fine no Problem no Green Screen till suddendly my Screen went full Green Flickering mode and I dont know what the Reason is. I restarted the Phone and it worked again no problem for 30min then it went back to Green flickering screen.
I have try : Restore the Phone as New completly Wipe out / Result = Negative
Installed a Custom Rom / Result = Negative
I did not dropped the Phone nor does it has a Water Damage.
The Green Flickering screen only comes when Im in the System but while I am on TWRP it never shows up so I think it has something to do with the system and not Hardware.
Problem still there still need a Help

A full wipe and flashing the latest official firmware usually solves non-hardware issues. If you tried that and the issue is still there, then it sounds like a hardware issue that would need repair (hopefully within warranty).

Motherboards can be faulty, etc. It doesn't have to be caused by the user. If you flash stock with full wipe and the issue persists then the only remaining variable is hardware. Either that or maybe you didn't do the full wipe when flashing latest firmware. Not sure what else to suggest beyond those two possibilities. Hope you get it working.
I had this also on my N950F. It happened very suddenly while I was using it:-
* Greenish tint
* Reduced brightness capability
* Flickering
* ~half-inch border of more intense tinting on all four sides
Cut a long story short - couldn't fix it with a complete factory reset.
Today, the problem has suddenly disappeared and the screen is perfect after four days with this issue. Just out of the blue - screen back to normal.
I'm guessing it was either a dodgy board connection which righted itself, or a temporary light sensor issue.
it is a hardware fault relating to the lcd. this is usually seen when the phone has been dropped. and is a broken lcd. i know its stated it wasnt dropped but that is the issue

Utter nonsense. It hasn't been dropped and it doesn't have an LCD screen. Know-it-alls spoil it for others by making unfounded comments.

Yes, that's it, if not droped, then a faulty screen, just like that, many people wish that all problems can be fixed by some trick, clever app or hidden setting, but, in true, a very little number of troubles are fixed this way, so my advice would be to take the device to an authorized samsung service center

Be nice to people trying to help you.
There is two causes to this. Software or hardware. Next time it happens try screen capture. If appears on screen shot it's software buggy. Although highly unlikely but if it does usually a reboot or factory reset solves it.
Other more likely scenario is hardware. If you used a crt tv you'll know as its the same symtom of failing picture tube.
And it's definitely not connector issue.
