hi,
Im very new to this stuff and to the forum so i might not understand some of the thing you guys and gals explain to me...
Anyway, i have an xperia x1 running on the HTC Hero android OS and its very warm when i hold it and gets warmer when i charge it
Also, the battery drains very quick... and when it sits for an hour or so, it reboots to the ROM i installed; which is the Touch-IT BR Sense 2.5 Updated w/ build 23563 downloaded from http://htcpedia.com/touch_it_br_landscape/soft/sony-x1-rom.html?page=1
If yall could help me in anyway, that would be awesome
thanks,
Alex

I had this with a previous battery, also, when in WM running WiFi Router. I'm using XANDROID now with wifi/3g running and it's cool as... no problems here.

I think you should try the froyo version of Tremere in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709632
Battery lasts for about 7-8 hours with average used (which is the not that bad for android on WM device, they are working out how to fix this). I think the warm reason is caused by your device consumes too much energy. BTW, the android version I show you can use wifi.
Hope it can help.

Yes.I got same situation for my X1.
BTW I want to thank you for all de developments on XDandroid! I want my Xperia with android! thank you very much
I'm running A ROM with MAX Sense and using XDandroid but my X1i drains the battery in 7h.
Do you think if I flash my phone with a basic 6.5WM with no HTC Sense at all, the battery last longer?
thank you guys
yoper
the rom you are using has nothing to do with the performance of andriod, because wimo will be kicked out completly of the ram by haret before andriod is booting.

its simply not ready for daily use... there are many things to do for kernel devs for better powermanagement and we have to tweak android the xperia way
at the moment we are running from the storagecard, which eats battery too.
yes good point...
the phone is in permanent access to run the android...
we wait for further developments...

Sweet! I hope it's not a light version and more of a full version.
I'm using 23037 right now and it's pretty stable, but a few things like connection problems at time and NO MMS so I have to flash back to my previous ROM.

I am using it in my 6.5.1 builds that will be posted tomorrow
nice and stable buid
l like new ui
i cant wait i am using the 23037 built and its good...
NRG is working with 23041 for his next build.
I presume that we will soon have some new rom with this build, but as chefs are working hard on it and still there isn't one, I also assume that there is non easy way.
I am personally quite worried about battery life.
It doesn't seem to me that going from 6.1 to 6.5 has got my phone better life.
Also, I don't understand why - being so few weeks before WM6.5 phones hit the shelves - there are still no "full stable" 6.5 leaks...

I def. had a BIG improvement in battery life doing the switch! I went from 4 hours tops on heavy use to 9 hours on heavy use. I still need to carry my charger with me when I go to work, but that's not a big deal.
To be sincere, and trying not to go o.t., I definitely have increased my phone calling time since last economic downfall, so I don't have a clue about whether or not my battery life is worsened due to 6.5 or recession....
hi i just got this phone and i love it. i have read a lot about upgrading the rom, but all these seperate roms confuse the heck out of me . Say i just want to upgrade to win 6.5 is the christians clean rom the best one? will i lose features and will i lose all my data and saved stuff if i flash it? sorry fot the noob questions. thanks for looking
there is no such thing as the best rom. u will have to find out by your self flashing all the different roms you are interested in and test them out if they fit your needs. i think christians rom is a good start. its fast and he offers different versions.
all your data (except those on the sd card) will be lost. but there are programs to back them up.
Ok, thanks. Going to try out a few now, just got the phone Hard SPLed or whatever (neardly died of a heart attack when it stuck at the bootloader and the program failed... just ran the program again and it worked phew lol). Thank you

ithik every 1st timer of flashing can relate to that one..
enjoy flashing..
you can back up your contacts/SMS/email, etc. with PIMBackup, SPB backup, or Microsoft MyPhone before you flash so you won't lose your data

I'm in the same boat.
What ROM did you eventually go with? Are you impressed with the result?
I have tried alot of different roms, however I have one clear preference.
IMO the best Windows 6.5 Rom is this one: http://826x.blogspot.com/
I would get the version without HTC Sense.
I am currently running the "ROM 826X Windows Mobile 6.5.5 build 23519" version, and am getting 2-3 days battery life with moderate day to day use.
ANY other 6.5 rom that I have tried has been 1-1.5 days, however these have all been HTC Sense / TF3D roms.
If you do not mind about battery life then the Agent_47 / itje / NRGZ28 roms are all excellent, and offer additional eye candy.
Happy flashing.
i've been getting 2 days battery out of the latest agent roms! thats with sense 2.5 on too!

Tried Christian'd clean one and I thought it was ok, currently using the xperia x1.5 one and i like it, but im going to try some of the fancier ones before i settle.
Hey buddy, I was very much like you sometime back(a couple of months, to be precise) but if u want a plain ROM 6.5 just like ur current 6.1...then the best is Spike's Unoff...NOT the 1.5, it again has some goodies...http://pocketnow.com/html/portal/news/0000008936//xasense.jpeg
this is ur HTC Sense UI, 2.5 build...if u want this, then u wont have the basic 6.5 look..because ur home screen wil be like this..hope it helps, if u have any worries, PM me..CHEERS!

^ good advice. It's a nice ROM.
Do you know how to resize pictures for MMS? My 6.1 ROM gave me the option to compress a picture before added it to the message. 826X's ROM Doesn't.

I've settled with the Energy ROM, but am now trying the 23554 build to see if it's any better. With my extended life battery, I get upto a week of casual texting, and it's got HTC Sense 2.5 which I would now insist on having on the phone at all times

I'm currently using 23545 (non manila). I really like it. I'd like to try the Energy ROM, but I don't like manila. Plus, swapping ROMs every few days gets tiresome.

hello, i will buy X1 and i have a question, how long x1 work on battery in android? Same in Touch Pro?
uhm, forget android on the x1. read a bit in the rom-threads, you'll see it's kernel that's the main-problem.
dunno why you think it's an option. batt-life is the last of your problems...

i happen to use my android on my x1 daily if your read the forums and accept the issues then so be it
you will get about 10-12 hours max with doing/using nothing
he's talking about buying the x1. do you really wanna tell him he can run android on it just fine?! and your last sentence... "10-12 hrs doing nothing"?! how can you talk about "using it every day" then? that's not using it, that's leaving it at home and use another phone instead. and you still have to charge it twice a day. ^^
how problems is with android on X1?
Honestly, I love my X1 so much ... it's a good phone and I can't afford a new one and thanks to the amazing devs here on the forum we are able to run android ... but we have a few issues ... I use Android some days for a full day ... I run the SenseDroid and it works with for about 12 hours using the phone and 12 hour left for nothing takes 30 % of the battery ...
my advice is ... get an original android if you can afford it ... it'll be more native to it ... but if u can't get the X1 and here they are close to making a NAND version but there are still some issues
so, in conclusion, if u have the money for android, get it ... if u can't the X1 is a great phone with good specs ...
Why has squad chosen to use 604mhz over 600mhz? Does it make any difference?
And the battery drains REALLY FAST in this ROM. I just had 65% of charge and then in 10 mins 49%
practically it doesn't make any difference
and your battery will drain faster because of many factors e.g - if internet service is on
i have the same problem. even i am not using internet and the mobile data and wifi are disabled. it drained faster.
Try to charge your phone until it's 100%. Turn off your phone and charge it again (I'm sure it won't show you 100% and still charging). Wait until it's show you 100%.
i got my battery 4%. I charge it a few minutes (not more than 5) and I got about 40%. Wow. But drains faster.
I think it's the battery calibration which is wrong.

When flashing new rom better to calibrate your battery first,
or you dont know how to do it cause it seems like you dont know a thing you were saying,
may i ask you? How long have you been using squads rom?
Dont talk about battery life if you havent used the rom for a week
cause by then you wont see nor judge its battery life just like that,
and one thing if you have doubts, dont use the rom then. Lets just be thankful a guy like squad
is trying to hold on to this project and please this is a shout out for all you guys
stop comparing developers! Its not fair alright?! Anyways peace y'all

Dude you are over reacting. First of all I haven't compared any roms. Second I have been using the rom for more than a week. Have been using cm7 since RC1.
Sent from my GT-S5570L using XDA App
Alright my bad, im sorry mate, and also i was not pertaining to you
When i said dont compare rom developers, its jst that i said it just in case some
people will, peace Man, and another one, batt for me using his rom, rc5.1
is good, last for atleast 3days, and me too, been flashing his rom since his 1st build.
Last update (developer rom) I thought I would do a fresh install. Since then it takes forever to charge my phone. Can anyone shed any light on whats going on I downloaded the latest version tonight and seems to be even worse. Charged for 4 hours only on 10%.
I have the same problem ! Glad I'm not the only one !
At first I thought it was the cable (and I'm still not 100% sure it isn't) but it looks like it comes from the phone.
I'm in holiday right now so I can't download an other ROM or try an other cable so I can't be sure but I just wanted to tell you that it seems like I have the same issue.
I'll try to fix this and update here

Charged with phone switched off, back to normal so must be software issue. Today seems to be running hot and battery draining quick, turned on profiles or battery saving and seems to have cooled down. It's definitely not the cable tried others and same results.

Yeah after the latest update mine is running hot as well...
Just charged for 2 hours phone on only up 2%
So which version are we running ?
Which one is stable ?
Right now I'm on 5.7.16 and I charge very slowly like 2% per 30 minutes so this version is not good enough.
Is someone running the newest version ?
Is 5.7.2 stable ?
