Did a search but couldn't find this.
My product ID is GT-i9000 HKDXEU. Now I know XEU is the generic European version but does the HKD mean anything?
Is there a thread setting out these product ID's?

hi, where can you see what product code is it?
thanks
Cabsg is available on productcode XEE (Nordic) too, so its not asia specific for some odd reason.

Hi all,
Sorry for the noob question but I have looked in my SGS under settings > phone information and I see things like my IMEI, etc but nothing showing as the "Product Code".
I have never flashed a new firmware that was not official to Bell Mobility and Canada but I have done the registry hack to reflash JH2 so I could fix my missing 3 button recovery in the past. Should this have changed my product code?
Please advise how I can see it...
Thanks...
this is the correct product code for the I9000M
"ProductCode"="GT-I9000HKABMC"
Thank You but where do I look in my phone to see it? I cant find it anywhere?
it's in the registry
meanwhile on this topic...
can some one confirm the product codes for the other models?
Thanks

Ok... So... How do I see it? Do I need to be rooted to see? Can I find this on my phone or do I have to look from a computer?
Please dont be quite so vague... Remember... Im a bit of a noob... LOL!!!
I am not sure if this is a way to check, but you could give it a try.
Open your "Phone Dialer" and type in *#1234#.
What do you see after CSC?

I see I9000BMCJH2
I dont believe that this is it but I could be wrong... Anyone else have any info on this?
So your product code seems to be BMC, which is a canadian product code according to the samsung letter codes.
Productcode = BMC.
i'm using SGS toolbox to show my product code but i don't know which one to read.
it says:
Copied nv_data files...
product code in nv_data.bin:
I900HKAKOR
then it also says
Product code in backup.nv_data.bak:
I9000HKAOPS
my question is whats wrong with KOR and why do people want to avoid it? and also which one am i suppose to read what says the one i have? and if i have KOR how do i change it to OPS?
sorry for being a noob, thanks in advance
edit: nvm
Official Kies update for XEU change my ProductCode in KOR!! Why?
All Froyo ROMs change the code to KOR, but that's not a real problem if you have back-up of your .bak files in EFS folder. The ROM also changes your Sales code to KOR, but that's easy to edit
I still wonder why Samsung froyo firmwares do this change
The product code should be corrected when you select "XEU" from the preconfiguration (*#272*IMEI#).
i've solved...this is the service code to restore the product code on froyo
*#272*imei#*
it does also a factory resect
Sorry to bring up an old thread...but what region is KOR product code for? My phone has option for BMC (which I know is Canada) and KOR.

Question regarding the Froyo version for Sasktel.
I currently used the registry patcher to obtain the Bell update.
Now that the Sasktel update is out I would like to go to their froyo. How might one get that update through kies?
Can I spoof the registry patcher from this:
Spoof Product Code:
BMC
Spoof Software Revision as:
I9000UGJG9/I9000BMCJG9/I9000UGJG9/I9000UGJG9
To this: (This is my own version, as there is no BWA options on the drop down menu.)
Spoof Product Code:
BWA
Spoof Software Revision as:
I9000UGJH2/I9000BWAJH2/I9000UGJH2/I9000UGJH2
Would these settings be correct? Sorry to add another thread. Sasktel is a pretty small market compared to bell, so just trying to find some figures.
looks good to me,
why are you switching to sasktels though?
the only difference is the builds product code
The only reason is that I would then be stock Sasktel.
That's about it. Thanks for your help!
Hey guys do you know where i can find a multi CSC file i mean i have only a couple (xeu xeo kor and something else) and i want to use the one for my country (HAT)
Thanks
You might want to tell which model is u want it for.??
it's the I9000 global and i want it for Romania (HAT one) i am currently using the XEU and i don't know if it's good...
XEU is for England and Europe than is good for Romania
i was having some very slow speeds on radio connection i thought it was because of the csc file?
