After I updated to Froyo and tested camera, I noticed that Panorama and some other modes are not working. After taking the picture it says "Failed". Anyone else having this problem?

Do you have beta or official version of Froyo?
Making a panoramic picture can fail when the software is not able to stitch the pictures together. Just try it a couple of times with a steady hand.
Just tried my panorama mode too on froyo and works perfectly.
Yeah, I got it working too after a reboot.
Btw, Is it possible to change the resolution for panorama? I mean now it's locked just to 0,3mpix.
On froyo (Galaxy S I9000), the panoramic mode, action and multiple shots is working, but when you will go to see the image on Gallery, it's not working. Only you goint to my documents that you will see the files (images). And only when you reboot the device that you can see the files on Gallery and use the share option.

I installed Honeysense hd 8.0 today and everything's perfect apart from the fact that the camera app misses the panorama and the HDR effect.
Is there anywhere the apk of the sense camera app that does include them? I used to have a sense rom with them but can't remember what rom it was.

This camera app does have both HDR and Panorama and does actually work...the camera.apk below is from the Virtuous Unity Rom....I don't take any credit for it....but here it is....
EDIT: Posted the wrong one but this one is correct....

Hit you with a thanks for this.
It works for me on Evo4g HW 003 running Virus Synergy-Kingdom 8-25.
I pulled the HTCCamera.apk out of the zip file, pushed it to system/app and it seems to work fine. No reboot, nothin.
Thanks!
i tried to push camera apk also, but i only get FC . Then i decided thanks to seo (credits to him) to push some other system files that he used to port sense 3 camera with pano&hdr to sense 2.5 base. Still the same result. hdr doesnt seem to work and pano works first time then just freeze. killing and reopening camera cause FC's. you can see my thread here maybe with all of this experimenting we can get to a solution
Maybe the leaked sense 3.0 for dhd has camera that works with hdr n pano, or leedroids build

Hi,
My camera will not load properly , the app launches and I can see images through the camera, but none of the buttons load and so I cannot take an image!
as there is no dedicated camera button I am left with a fancy view finder!
can anyone help me with the stock camera APK? or some help on how I restore the camera function without reloading the stock ROM again please?
thanks
bit more detail-
I installed Camera360. and it would appear that once I uninstalled that app it screwed up the native camera app. If i put Camera360 back on, that works with No issues but the native app still does not work.
Camera 360 does not scale correctly to the screen which is quote annoying

Hey, did anyone have any luck with taking photospheres? I am able to view them with no problems, but as soon as I open Camera app from the Gallery.apk (I tried few different version) it always seem to crash when switching camera mode to photosphere or panorama. Any luck?
Anyone? Taking photospheres from wrist would be pretty cool.. and I think Gear has all the sensors necesarry. Photosphere viewing works just fine, also with looking around without touching the screen.
Yesterday I rooted my phone and after a day of use everything seems normal except that I've just noticed that I've only got two modes in the camera app. Where there were previously several options in the camera mode selections (the square icon with four circles) screen including Zoe and Video, now I only have two Camera and Selfie.
Also, when I take a picture the app crashes immediately after taking a picture. The little icon with the last picture taken that takes you to your photos is also missing. The google camera app works perfectly as far as I have tested, but I really like the zoe camera.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Fix it, somehow
I haven't extensively tested this, but in case someone else makes their way to this thread with a similar problem I have found a solution.
I installed the apk of the HTC Camera app. Someone in the Verizon M8 forum posted it here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52201960&postcount=5
For a while now, I haven't been able to zoom in/out properly using camera apps that I've found on the app store (particularly Z Camera and Camera360). The problem is that when these camera apps are open, the image you see does not zoom. So if I pinched zoomed (or even used the volume keys to zoom), the live view you see does not zoom. However, once you actually take a picture, then the zoom actually shows up. Here's an example to hopefully clarify the problem:
Using the Camera360 app, I pinch zoom to 8x but don't take the picture yet. The live picture view on my screen stays at 1x even though I zoomed to 8x. Then, I take the picture and when I view/open it, the image is truly zoomed in to 8x.
As you can probably guess, this issue is a bit frustrating since you can't really tell how much you've zoomed in/out until after you take the picture. The strange thing is that the stock camera app works perfectly (no zoom problems).
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active-i537. This problem existed when I had UCUAMF3 (4.2.2) as my firmware. I've done a factory reset, and that didn't solve the issue. I just installed UCUCNE3 (4.4.2) in hopes of fixing the problem, but that also hasn't helped.
Any ideas as to what's causing this issue and how to fix it?
