So I followed the instruction and updated my galaxy s to official JPM/JP6 via Kies. everything works fine so far except I can't use one click lag fix on it anymore. always saying could not mount something blah blah...
I also noticed that there are many ways of doing lag fix. Could anyone tell me which one is the best way to lag fix on JPM/JP6 and give me step by step instruction?
Would really appreciate it.
That's a typical message you get if an app you installed is on SD card. Look in the app settings on the tab "on SD card" and see if you can move apps on the SD to internal. Otherwise: just deinstall. When the TAB "on SD card" is empty again, try OCLF again.
OCLF from the market worked perfectly for me on rooted JP6. Huge improvement.

YOU CAN ROOT BY CF 1.2,flash a kernel via odin.
Hi all, I had applied z4root and oclf on froyo JPO. I had to do a wipe and a format of the internal sd, (i did not remove oclf or root before).
After wipe I found I had already root, and now oclf says I have already a lagfix, once it said size of xxx.ps (don't remember the name) less than 5k, now it says that /data size is different than ext2 data (i just installed ext2)
I am quite sure I don't have any, also because with lagfix I usually score 1800+ on quadrant, now 980..could the problem be that I restored oclf and z4root apps with titanium? How can I wipe only their data?
TL;DR
Oclf says I have a lagfix but I don't,
How can I fix it?

Self reply, it needed a "restore boot animation", from oclf app.
Hopefully other users will find the answer in this post, since I did not find it before. Thanks to ryanza.

Ok so ive noticed after several changes to my phone flash new rom, flash back to stock, flash new rom, back to stock, new kernel, ect. My program storage partion has changed from 1.3 Gb to 800 mb or so... Ive read that there was some issues with repartioning the program storage but i was curious if anyone has actually figured out how to do this... Or what might have changed it so i can get my space back!

Right now im running stock froyo w existz voodoo kernel but i have voodoo lagfix disabled so i can use an ext2 lagfix...

Your lagfix is likely the culprit. Once you disable the ext2 lagfix everything will show normally.
Thank you.. Now has anyone figured out how to repartion the program storage yet? Or some how change the partion tables to all more space on the sd for programs?

hi,
I have more than 100 apps installed that have more than 1.2 GB of data. can i still apply voodoo lag fix? it is safe for me? also after voodoo i will have 2 GB for apps?
Thx for any help!
Yes when applying lagix or formatting with ext4 the applications in /system directory are backed up and after the format the directory contents are restored .
So you will have all your 100 apps intact .
And you will continue to have the previously available space (2 gb) , after applying lagfix
Great
One more question:
I have stock Froyo 2.2.1 I9000XXJPY... I should use update.zip to apply voodoo or use the odin (never used this app before)...?
It really makes no difference if you flash the voodoo kernel through CWM (update.zip) , or use odin to do it .
I assume you are getting your kernel from here ? http://project-voodoo.org/download
Your phone is rooted?
Yes, I'm rooted and yes I want to use kernel from official voodoo site...
hymmm... so what method is safer? update.zip or by the odin?

Both are one and the same
But update.zip method is my preference
