1: how many folders have you set to sync in your hotmail/live account.??
sync only your inbox and try. disable sync for the other folders and try.
Figured it out, it was a password input error. My bad

Is it possible to sync the different folders or do they all appear in one folder on WP7?

You are able to choose which folders to sync.

I've just started using my new Kaiser and cannot get Exchange replicating through Active sync or Push. I keep getting the 85010014 error code.
Anyone have this issue...?
The first thing I would try is deleting all of the active partnerships, both the push and the Desktop ActiveSync partnerships and try again...
Also, what version of ActiveSync are you using on the desktop?

I know people were having this issue with an older version of ActiveSync...
Here are a couple of links:
http://vehera.symbiandevelopersjour..._windows_mobile_5_activesync__85010014_er.htm
http://motoq.wordpress.com/2006/06/09/activesync-problem-with-outlook-2003
Not sure if this these will help though...
It's weird, the Windows PC portion of the Active Sync is fine, the Microsoft Exchange section sits there for a while says "Sync. Folders", "Looking for Changes" and then fails
Very odd

Did you try deleting the server information and starting over?
I went as far as hard resetting the phone and deleting the profiles out of ActiveSync. It is difenatly a problem with Push, because I can sync the Calendars, Contacts and Email from Outlook on my PC. Just get the error message when using Push to sync.
I use push and I've never had an issue - it just works. I'm really not sure about this one - You could try searching Micro$oft's knowledgebase for the error number - sometimes there is actually a solution to an issue in there.
It appears to be only the Calendar having issues, contacts and mail work fine
Maybe check to see if you have any corrupt calendar entries... I had an issue once before with ActiveSync erroring out on another device: I deleted and re-added some of my calendar entries in Outlook and it cleared up.
Server issues
I have the same issue for a long time. Start by finding out if there are any errors in the W3Csrv log on your exchange server. Also from your mobile see if you can get to https://<your exchange webmail server>/OMA.

How did you found out which calendar entry was corrupted?
I have a similar problem with Calendar when I try to sync all the entries (ie, not limited to last 6 months): ActiveSync keeps on running and running - more than 20 minutes until I stop it.
I suspect it is due to some corrupted entries and I would try to fix them but I don't know how to find which ones they are (I have more than 500 entries, many of them recurrent ones).
Sorry for my English - I hope I have been clear enough.
Thanks

Yes...does sound like it may be an issue on the "pushing" side. Verify that your Exchange admin set your account up for syncing. For my company, I needed to install a Certificate file as well.
Hi,
Using Gmail IMAP4 on my Vario III. I can send messages fine, and see them in my sent mail folder at gmail.com, but I can't see them in the sent mail folder in Pocket Outlook on the phone (it's empty).
Is this right? If not, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks.
go to email options then to the tab at the bottom that says message and one of the options is keep copies of sent email in sent folder.
Thanks, but it's already checked.
I've had a similiar issue using Windows live(the application) to check my hotmail account. I can see all my folders to move stuff to, but I can't actually retrieve any of the messages from any folder other then the inbox. I can however move things from my inbox to wherever.
If I use PIE I can get to them through the browser however.
Sorry, forgot the solution. Go to Tools > Manage Folders > and select the folders to sync..
Nice one. Thanks.

Worked for me as well. I had the same problem. Thank you pyro.
worked, thank you guys, but i am still wondering why microsoft did not just make this enabled by default (automatically sync all folders for any pop/imap account) :-\
The sync option works on Gmail folders as well..
I got windows Vista, and i can't figure how to do nothing with the sync or the mobile device manager, its like it has no options for any of that.
how do i transfer my contacts that are now in "Windows contacts" to my Diamond ?
- also, appearntly i can't do anything with my vista, stuff just won't work, it won't sync (or i don't know how) any one has experience with this ?
I think im gonna go back to my iphone this phone is driving me crazy it's too complicated for a phone and it's annoying on top of all.
Thanks in advance.
Use the owner manual

Sorry for my english, but I have the contacts sicronized with vista and XP my 2 notebooks.
For this I user the owners manual and resolve the problem. I dont remember how because i dont have problems. I change many times the room, and syncorized again without problems.
Carlos
but how do u sync ? using what software ? i see the device it says: connect in the mobile device center but there is no options there to choose what to do just shows that its connected.
and when i try to flash a rom it says im not synced
As far as I know (and from a quick Google search), it's not possible to sync contacts from Windows Contacts. Only Outlook's contacts are supported.
Wouldn't it be easier to sync your contacts via your Windows Live Messenger or Outlook? I have my contacts stored in my messenger contact list and when I sync it with Windows Live the same information is synced to my contacts.
But i can't sync at all, I don't have active sync or anyway to choose my device and click sync it ! .. ?

Well then the first step would be to get ActiveSync. It's a free download from Microsoft (remember if you have Windows Vista or 7, get Windows Mobile Device Center instead).
The problem then is the fact that you don't have Outlook so you won't be able to sync anything. As VerusAmos said above, the best option if you don't have Outlook is to use the Windows Live contact sync. Of course, I'm not sure how this will help if you have all your contacts in Windows Contacts format.
It does seem pretty stupid to me that MS would just ignore people who don't have Outlook.
I got XP SP3, and Outlook 2007 SP 2.
Used Kies to sync phone with Outlook.
Result? It erased all outlook contacts/calender items, and non got synced to phone. Tried a bunch of times, each time it did the same.
How do I sync?
Not sure about using Kies, I havn't tried it, however google has built in outlook calendar into gmail now, not sure if this will do contacts though it might just be calendar?
http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/google-calendar-sync-now-supports.html
i synced Outlook to Gmail account
then sync the phone with Gmail account
done!
download google sync from google website
the only thing it does not sync are the Yellow Notes

problem is google sync is blocked by firewall.
Guess I would have to export things from outlook, import at another PC, then use google sync. What a hassle, I would really like updated calendar events.
Here's an idea: do you run Outlook as standalone, or is Exchange running as the email server with Outlook as the client-side application?
If Exchange is running, have you looked at this, on the handset:
Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> then press Add Account ->More Accounts -> Corporate
You then get a screen which lets you set up an account which syncs to Exchange.
I haven't tried this, since I use Outlook running against a different email server. Maybe it will be the solution for you.
here is another great alternative

Don't you have to export the Outlook contacts to a file, and then import it into the phone? From what I see in Kies, that's the only way to get things started.

In Outlook you run File -> Export, and save the data to a .csv file. Kies is looking for a file like this.
The "sync with outlook" button is for syncing in the other direction: from the Galaxy S to Outlook.

no wonder it deleted all my contacts, and talk about illogical.
Sync is a 2 way street, not one way!
Clicking the open file button in Kies, causes Kies to halt, doesn't seem like it likes mapped network drives.
*sigh*
Ragnar, I don't think that Kies is the best software to accomplish the contacts syncing. I imagine you are dealing with a company email server, perhaps running Exchange?
I gave up on Kies for this task. I am now using Synthesis, a SyncML client, to do an over-the-air sync. There is a 30-day free licence and then one has to buy it. You can also try Funambol, which is free. Of course, using a SyncML client demands that the email server must be running a SyncML server.
Probably you can try "Android Manager-WIFI"? It's free but it only supports wireless data connection with PC, no USB version. It can help to synchronize Outlook contacts/Calendar. Google "Android Manager-WIFI" and you shall find the free download from a manufacturer called Mobile Action. Hope this will help.
Yes, Android Manager WiFi is good, however, Android 2.2 is not complete supported this function now.
It might be under development.
Anyway, it is really good!
ok, i understand you cant delete the first windows live account but i dont see any options to choose what you can sync e.g calender. only email. anyone know if you cant change settings once its done the first time?

The only setting that can be changed for the primary Windows Live ID is Email sync. Calendar, Contacts, and everything else will sync automatically and you cannot disable that.
