, and no continue, i try to reinstall froyo 2.2, help me plz
First of all this question is in the wrong section. Second of all, in ODIN one click you press "Start". If you press master clear it sometimes freezes at that screen you were talking about. Third, your grammar/spelling is horrific
sorry men, i dont speak english, im desesperate, but i can find solution, thanks for you answer men. bye

English isn't everyone's native language. In the future try to not to comment on spelling and grammar mistakes until after you've figured out where they live.

This same thing happened to me and I tried a million times and always got stucked like you with the "One Click ODIN" so I tried another version of ODIN and that worked for me... I am attaching the file, open it, browse to the PIT file (included as well) and then browse to the TAR file that you can download here :
http://www.creekaddict.com/android/PDA.tar
then put the phone in download mode and make sure ODIN recognize it and it start
I hope this works for you, I tried like 3 different PIT files and this was the only one that worked
thaks you man, very nice

Is it me or does this Kies program suck? Lots of problems with bricked phones everywhere! How can one of the biggest company of electronic devices in the world produce crap like this? And what's this stupid way of rolling out updates one region at a time? Samsung what's a matter with you? I'm beginning to think it's better to flash the dam stuff yourself!

Hi everyone!
I get a feeling that this is a 'return to Samsung' problem..
I can get the Downloading.... do not turn off Target!!! screen on the tablet,
but Odin fails.
I know it is because I am doing something wrong,, but I am bit sure what!
I have two questions - for a UK Tablet bought in Staples, is this the correct TAR file?
P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJPZ_HOME
and is the pit file
s1_odin_20100512.pit
or
s1_odin_20100803.pit
I also tried recovery from KIES but no luck..
Any advice welcomed!
Ofiaich
Hey u dont need to put any of these pits
Go and start without putting the pit
There is already pit in the rom
Flash it without hitting anything except start
Sent From Hell To Take Your Soul
thanks again,
tried without the pit file..
and it still fails, and I tried with re-partition checked and unchecked..
so I am wondering if I choose the correct rom.
P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJPZ_HOME
All good fun and learning!!

The pit files you've quoted are old. They're probably for the Froyo based ROMs. For Gingerbread firmwares, use the pit file I've attached below. I zipped it up as XDA doesn't allow files with a .pit extension. Just extract it from the zip file and use it.
Use these following setup in the pic below, substituting the "P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJPZ_HOME.tar" file in place of the "GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar”, as well as the modem of choice in the Phone slot.
thanks thepittbull !
Tried that too with the P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJPZ_HOME
and that fails too.
I get this in Odin, ( see screenshot )
I also tried this rom P1000XWJMP_P1000XXJMI_P1000SEBJM5_HOME
I am sure I am making a silly mistake but just can't see it!
I will read lots again and call back here later..!

Are you using a zip file instead of a tar file? Seems it can't read the file in the PDA section. If you've downloaded it as a zip file, you need to extract it out first. Your file names in your screenshot is kinda long, so I can't exactly see the files you're flashing. If you're on JQ1, use the JPZ for now.
Anyway, the GB stocksafe file is from TeamOvercome.net. It's our recommended stock-safe package, that we recommend to keep as it's like a mini-toolkit with everything you need to restock. There's the guide on the site, to help you in the restocking process with the package.

I've just read thru the thread again. One quick question: Were you running Android 2.2 prior to the flashing?
I know this is a wide issue on many devices, but i could not find one for the Galaxy Note.
So here it is (and sorry if the answer is allready out there):
i tried to root and it got stuck on bootscreen (the samsung logo). I have figured out (or atleast i thing) that the OS is missing, or something like that. So i downloaded it from a forum page here on XDA. The thing is i can't figure out how to put it on the phone. I tryed using ODIN. Any clue of an easy way to do this?
Thanks in advance

Hi there There the way to go is this. Pull battery count to ten replace battery and go to download mode (hold volume down press power on while hold volume down). Start odin make sure re-partition is uncheck extract the stock firmware you downloaded so you have a TAR file click on PDA in odin and navigate to that TAR file connect phone odin should react and a yellow square will appear with com 4 in it now press start . Thats it good luck
Don't think this post belongs in this section, it has no relations to development.

So a few hours ago, i tried to flash the value pack (XXKQB) ROM on my Galaxy S Plus,it started normally but sort of freezed on ˝setupconnection˝
The phone was still in download mode, and after about 20 minutes of siting there, restarted the phone since nothing was happening, and it´s safe (for now ).
It should look like this, right?(see attachment)

WRONG VERSION OF ODIN heh, silly me
looks like the pic didn´t upload succesfully
I have no idea what you are doing . How did you set up Odin? did it detect your phone? Have you closed all Kies applications? You could post a link to the thread you got the download from... (Did you ask the thread where you got the download from?) Why is there only one file? Is it meant to be like that? (I know some roms can be zipped/tarred so you only need one file but is this that sort of file?)
The list can go on and on. Please provide more information... What is the status of your phone now? Can you boot up to your home screen or are you stuck at soft-brick screen? I ask this because i don't understand what safe means. I would consider a soft brick safe because i know what to do when i have one... Re-flash!
So to that image. I am assuming this is how you set up odin BEFORE you connected your phone. I would suggest tick re-partition, this WILL factory reset your phone. A suggestions not always necessary, read the thread. If you are on GB already then i don't think you need to. Also usually you are still required to have a .pit file. (I haven't flashed via odin in a long time, so things may have changed) Check you don't need one.
Finally sometimes when i flash via odin, it get stuck i think at the same point you do. I have to unplug and take battery out. If i boot up i get two symbols with a line of some sort in the middle. In this case i go back to download mode and re-flash and it flashes correctly this time.
Sorry for the long message its just the more information the better and quicker people can help. Hope i helped, if not please provide as much information as possible

Hi All
Today I thought I would try to install Jellybean on My tab, I am a total nube at this but thought I could follow the tutorial. First I rooted my tab, then tried to backup the tab but it didn't work and then I thought what the hell I'll just try it.
Now it just shows the black and white Samsung Screen and won't turn off.
When I go in to the Android System recovery a message shows - /cant access to ‘system/csc/XEF/system/
I've tried using Odin and all seems good but I can't get ClockWorkMod to appear on my tab.
I bought my tab in the UK but it got shipped from France so has default language setup in French If that has anything to do with it.
Please help, I've tried following some threads on here but some of it seems to be out of my depth. Could someone explain in simple terms how I can get my tab back to normal?? It would be very much appreciated. I'm so annoyed at myself :crying:
Thanks in advance

Right, I've been looking at this for 2 days now.
I've noticed that their is a CSC file option on Odin, I'm also in the middle of downloading the stock rom P7310XWLA2 which is the French version of the ROM.
So when it has downloaded should I try to find a CSC file as well as the PDA file to send to my tab?

Luckily I've never had to use ODIN with my Tab, however back in the days on my SGS I used it a lot.
So just a few things: you don't have a CSC file, because your tab is a Wifi only model, so don't worry about that.
Also, be sure to tick the re-partition box on the left if you are using a pit file (which at this state you should), this should repartition your internal SD and thus have a clean install.
Good luck
Thanks, but i've got it working and I'm not gonna mess round with it again.
Can't believe i finally got it working!
