[Q] Tethering two phones at once

I need to set up my Laptop to stream my mother in law's funeral from Canada to the UK. The location does not have internet access so my plan is to use my Nexus One's wifi teathering abilities. The question I have is it possible to use two Nexus One's linked together some how to increase the amount of bandwith I have available? It is really important that the link not drop out, I am fairly certain that it will work with just one phone but if there is some way to increase my chances of success I would like to try it.
Thank you in advance for you help.
Both phones are running cm6
This isn't really the right forum to be asking this question. Android will tether with any OS configured correctly to use it. Your question has nothing to do with Android though, it is about getting your laptop's OS to recognize two USB network adapters (which shouldn't be a problem) and setting up your OS to use the two interfaces together. I would ask in a forum about networking or your laptops OS for the best chance of a helpful reply.

This is for Windows. I'm not sure if it is even possible to do this with a Mac
Should be easy as enabling both phones for tethering. Once both connections are verified by the computer. Go into network connections and right click on one of the networks. There should be an option to link the connection. Do that and you might have increased bandwidth.
EDIT: I just tried this and it worked fine. I saw no speed increase in my internet. Although I have a 6 meg download, so maybe if my internet was slower.....
If it's important that the link not drop out, how about USB tethering?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I used skype and tethered my phone to a net book and had my best friends wedding broadcast live to his brother in iraq while connected to edge, you should be fine with one phone with at least two bars
When you have 2 internet connections, you need an application to split traffic to allow you to utilize their bandwidth. By default, everything will go through only one connection, and the second will be useless.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I should have 5 bars on HSPA where I will be, but I wanted a backup option. Will try having one phone on USB with the other on Wifi and then linking them. I usually get 4 meg down and 1.7 up, if it's not enough I can buy a HSPA+ internet stick and put my sim card in it.
Thanks again

[Q] Gal S - Can I stream through 3G

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help advise me?
I dont have a good ADSL connection here in Lincolnshire UK. Down load and upload speeds are low(2.5 d - 0.35 up).
But I do have a huge Cell Tower across the lane....I believe my Skype phone bars are high due to the tower. So my question is - can I stream LIVE content from the GAL S onto a wordpress blog or webpage through 3G?
I dont even have WiFi here.
Will 3G stream LIVE conent from my phone onto a wordpress blog for ex?
I dont want to buy a phone on contract and find out I cant stream onto the web.Is it best to wait for the Gal S 2?
Thanks Elton UK.
Your are mixing and misunderstanding a lot of things here (no offense).
Use wikipedia and search those terms to figure it out: 3G, Streaming over internet, wifi.

An application that streams over internet won't care if you use 3G or wifi.
Same goes for using the phone on your desktop computer as internet source.

Thanks -Elton .
Depending on the application you use, the developer could have implemented, a warning that you are using 3G, he could even block you from using his app over 3G but i don't see why he would do that.

[Q] Tethering help

Hi guys
I have a question.
I use my galaxy note to tether and connect to the internet with my laptop and my xbox360 at times, as the speeds and quality of service i get from my mobile provider are pretty darn good, its actually as fast as the standard 8mb home broadband that we get in this are at the moment.
I have tho discovered a problem with it, when using my note with the mobile hotspot active and connected via wifi to my xbox 360, the xbox shows the connection as being firewalled and restrictive, so it sometimes stops me getting the best out of it.
Do you guys know how to resolve this, theres no pc or router involved, just 360 and galaxy note, so im assuming the android system must have some kind of firewall system, or its because of the type of connection, and is there a way to maybe disble the firewall in the engineer settings or something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does xbox support WPA2 PSK? Did you try open network?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Thats a thought, yer the xbox supports wpa2 because it connects and lets me play games online, watch movies on lovefilm use fb etc etc, so no problems at all with the connection but no ive not tried it with an open network, i will try and see if it makes a difference, usually i dont use open networks because i have people in my area that tend to use others open networks so i try to avoid the issue by having it secure but thanks for the reply, i shall give that a go and see if it makes a difference.

[Q] Use Mobile data while connected to wifi? Is it possible? ?

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere. I want to use upnp for streaming video over a wifi connection that does not have Internet access. But of course, once wifi connects, mobile data is disconnected.
I was just using hotspot to create a link before. That worked just fine for streaming media that was already saved on my device, but is frustrating for streaming online video as Sprint times out my data connection every 15-30 minutes while hotspot is active. That problem seems to be only with my HTC One, because I've never experienced that before. But it can't be solved.
So my question is still, how can I stream media over wifi using cellular data? Are there any files I can edit to prevent the mobile cutout when on wifi?

Did you find a solution? I recently purchased a Bebop drone which is controlled via WiFi, for which I use my phone. I'm wondering whether it is possible to still use Mobile Data while I'm connected to the Drone's WiFi signal. My phone is a Oneplus One running latest CM12 Nightly.

Question about tethering to router

Hey guys I have a asus rt-ac1900 router that supports usb tether and a ac815s unite explore hotspot with unlimited data but for some odd reason the internet is extremely slow 500kbps usually or it won't even load a website but speed test shows I'm getting 20mbps down and 20 up. I'm really stumped on what is going on I have a hunch it may be dhcp related but I do not know how to fix it. If someone could please help me with some ideas it would be greatly appreciated!
the internet is slow in all devices?
Same issue was driving me nuts.
All devices connected to the router constantly lose connection or more like the response is incomplete.
It's the USB modem app on the asus router. It doesn't seem to work well with Unite Explore (maybe all Netgear hotspots).
I have the T-Mobile router and I thought it might be the buggy firmware, but even after switching it to the latest Merlin firmware, I still have the same issues.
I ordered the Netgear cradle, so that's my solution.

slow connection may be caused by many reasons. You should make sure this happens on all devices.
