On the top of the thread itself the developer has written a warning in red letters that this beta software may brick your SGS. In fact he has also written that it will be permanent. You should have exercised caution. The easiest and best way to flash CWM is through Rom Manager which is freely available in the Market.
By the way, Flash any stock firmware your choice through Odin. But be aware that Odin is very tempermental.

thanks for replay
i read that warning later
anyway i flashed my phone
but i cant find any arabic FW work
they all not work after power on phone
and i still can't find market program on my phone , i was trying to download CWM to download zip file that have market
if u know any ( work ) arabic firmware plz give me url for it
thanls again for replay

Go to the general section and download firmware which supports your require ments

[Q] Odin FAIL with kernel

Hi,
First, forgive my english, in France our teatcher are french too ^^
So, I tried flash kernel with Odin, and it get FAIL at end.
I tried overcome kernel and modaco (something like that!) and i get same error. Everytime I must reflash an official rom to reboot the tab, because I get the computer with phone link screen and I can't access to recovery (I don't know if you can understand what I try to say )
An idea ? I don't know why I can't flash the kernel...
Thanks you

hm....if you tried to do that from Stock firmware, you can't because you have a protected bootloader.....it happened to me as well ....but there is a solution:
1. go in download mode....if you can. If is showing phone - ? - computer, no problem, just flash with PIT file! it works.
2. flash the stock firmware once again via Odin from SamFirmware
3. once you done, root you tab with SuperOneClick.
4. Apply the patch
5. Flash again the kernel . Overcome_Kernel_v1.0.tar (5.50 MB) don't flash the latest on; if you coming from stock , you need to flash this version, and after conversion to Ext4 you can update...
....BTW you have a very good tutorial here. just follow it. hope it helps!
Thanks !
I will try !
Woaw, worked as well !!
It was just the bootloader !
Thanks for your help !
nice to see you back !!!!

Help - Phone not Booting

Hello guys ,
When trying to install a theme i got bootloops . Hence i tried to restore my backup using CWM . I was on 2.3.3 . But the backup did`nt get restored , hence i downloaded the xxjvq 2.3.4 firmware , flashed it with odin , and the fone booted fine .
Now i wanted to root the 2.3.4 , i downloaded this file "CF-Root-XX_UNK_JVQ-v3.7-CWM3RFS.tar"
Flashed this with odin , and now the fone is not booting up :S . I can go into the download mode . I tried flashing the same xxjvq rom via odin , but now odin is giving me Fail .
Please help me out here
Hi,
May be the downloaded firmware is corrupted. That could be the reason its failing.
Try this link out (GingerReal - V7.1.4 JVQ) It has clear instructions how to flash a custom rom and all the downloads.
Here is another link (Martux ROM V3) as well, with JVR base rom link.
Here are the deodexed versions by Ramad.
Hope this helps you
Try reinstall your USB Drivers or Download a JVR from Samfirmware and check, if it will be pass its corrupted JVQ, if fail, you need reinstall USB Drivers
Thanks a bunch guys ! finally manged to install Miui Rom in the phone ! working flawless now !
But there is one prb ! ..i cannot see the Clock work mod now , how am i supposed to boot into recovery now ?
Ok got into the recovery mode now ! . But there is one more problem now ! i select the install zip from sd card and press the home button , it doesnot select it . It got back , like the home screen button using acting like the volume button .
Any suggestions ?
Got it once again seems like the power button was the button for enter function ! m learning fast !

Samsung s3 mini blocked afrter failed root

Hi, after a failed rooting my s3 blocked, i tryed to put on the I9300XXALE8_I9300ITVALE7_ITV (i'm from italy), but now is blocked on the Samsung logo. Also when i go in download mode it says
Odin mode
Product name : GT-I8190
Custom binary donwload : YES (17 counts) (ye i tryed 17 times to fix it)
Current binary : custom
System status : Official
So i have some questions : Can i send it to assistance and they can repair it (with warranty)? , should i try to re download the I9300XXALE8_I9300ITVALE7_ITV file? ( i tryed with 3 versions of odin, with 2 of them it says : failed, with the newest it says : pass but it blocks on Samsung logo)
Or there is something other that i can do?
(sry bad english)
Are you flashing a i9300 firmware to a i8190?
No wonder why it doesn't work.

+1 Just find the ROM you want to install here http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=GT-I8190 then download and flash this http://download.chainfire.eu/448/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r5.zip and finally go and install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu (or update if you have it installed after you flash the file above). I can root any phone with this simple method
NOTE : It doesn't matter which country you're from, you can flash any firmware you like, so why not be it the latest one available for your device (ANF3 at the moment)? You can still change language to Italian after flashing so there's really no difference between regions

I've never rooted a phone so I was just wondering how to do it like this? I've read some guides but it's really unclear still, one that I tried simply didn't work (the one where you flash CWR with Odin as the first step). Can you/someone tell me how to do this exactly, please? This is what I'm thinking atm:
1) If I already have the latest version I'm happy with, do I still need to download that version again or can I just go ahead with the SuperSU flashing part?
2) How do I in practice flash the SuperSU zip file? I currently have Odin v.3.0.7 and Minimal ADB and Fastboot installed on my PC. Thanks for any help!

If you don't have the latest firmware on your phone, download it from the link I gave (it's a .md5 file). Now go to Developer Options in your phone's settings and tick USB Debugging. Power off your phone. After that enter download mode on your phone by pressing power+volume down+home button while turning it on. You'll see a big message on your screen saying "Downloading, don't unplug target". Now plug your s3 mini into the pc and start Odin. Select PDA and find the .md5 file from before. Make sure that f.reset time and re-partition are unchecked and then press start. Once it's done odin will say "pass" and your phone will reboot. Congrats, you now have the latest firmware on your s3 mini
Now in order to root it, you need a custom recovery so let's go
On Google search "TWRP 2.7.1.1 Android-Andi xda" and download it from the attachments of his post (it's a .md5 file again). Again turn off the phone and enter Download Mode like before. Now do the same steps with Odin as the first time (with the firmware), but this time select the TWRP.md5 file instead of the firmware one in PDA section of Odin. Make sure all the options on the left are ticked/unticked exactly like the first time and hit Start. The "Pass" message should be displayed and the phone should reboot.
Congrats, you now have the latest TWRP Recovery on your s3 mini
And the last step - rooting it
Download the SuperSU.zip from the link in my post and copy it to your device's memory (internal or external). Now in order to enter Recovery Mode you need to turn off your phone and turn it back on by holding the power+volume up+home buttons until you see a "TeamWin" message on your screen. This recovery is touch based so just select install, choose the SuperSU.zip file and flash it. Reboot the phone.
Now you're rooted and on the latest firmware arty:
For future updates do the same. Just change the firmware .md5 file with the latest one available. The rest is the same xD
Man, I got tired ...

Unable to boot to recovery mode in after trying backup ROM using ROM Manager

Hello Every Body
Appreciate your help as i am new to this .
I have Galaxy GT-N7000 , & I rooted it with Stock Recovery+Safe Kernal + CWM Recovery as in this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217840
it work great with no problem at all , then i update CWM recovery using ROM Manager & try to backup my ROM using ROM Manager , the phone is restarted directly & stuck at Galaxy Note GT-N7000 LOGO and stop booting , i can't go to recovery mode , i can only go to download mode
How to solve this problem ?
is there any solution to fix this problem & keep my data on phone ?
I am a beginer , this is my 1st post & the only thing i do is to root my device and use the apps
Please:
1- write detail instructions or link to a post so i can follow & learn what to do
2- Appreciate to put a link to any needed tools
Thank you
Rom manager is horrible. And useless.
If you can enter download mode, just Odin flash a stock firmware and redo the steps to get recovery. You should only create rom backups via recovery, Rom manager does not seem to support the Note 1

All these questions are answered in the forum.
Odin flashing
If you read your first post, it says 'CWM recovery.' Look through everything here to get a clearer picture.
