[Q] Nook wont go to market place - Nook Color General

I have loaded the 1.1 on my nook and now i cant log into my google account, no access to the market place. I'm not sure if i did something wrong when i load the file.. I use clockwork mod to load the file. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I was having a problem with the Market last night as well, right after I flashed the rooted 1.1 image. I rebooted with the microSD card removed. Then inserted the microSD and rebooted again and everything seems to be OK now. Others were reporting that the Market was down last night, so it may be that as well.

Yeah, the market was having issues last night for some reason. Is it still having problems?

Looks like Google opened up a web market - what a game changer !!!!!!!

froyo power up problems

i am noticing many settings/apps are not loading up when i restart my nexus. for example, the market doesnt show all my apps in the downloaded section, my swype and swiftkey isnt enabled (checkmarked in settings), and apps installed on card dont show up instantly (but not a biggie because they will all load up once nexus is fully powered up). is anyone else having these power up problems?

i found apps that should start up when froyo is loading up wont auto start if the apps are installed to SD. move these apps (like weatherbug elite, locale, mylock, meebo, live wallpapers, switch pro, y5, swype or any keyboards) to phone then run them. reboot the phone and they should all load up. took me some time to figure this out because after moving some apps they would show up as not installed but on another reboot they showed up fine. this solves the "why are my apps not auto starting on reboot/power up with froyo 2.2"

Kind of sounds like an issue with apps on the SD card maybe?
I'd maybe look at pushing those back onto internal storage to see if it has any effect on things. Any apps installed to the SD card will definitely not load instantly - the phone doesn't actually scan the SD card until the OS is pretty much fully loaded as I understand it.
Also, what he ^^^ said.
yes i dont mind them taking a while since they seem to load after the phone is fully powered up so not a biggie there. i will try what iammuze suggested

Help - Amazon App Won't Sync

I have the Customized Nookie Froyo found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922324
I downloaded Amazon's Kindle app and it won't sync with a free book I tried to get. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the app figuring it was worth a shot but that didn't work.
All the other apps I've tried appear to be working correctly.
Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you have an SD card inserted? I noticed I can't get Kindle to sync or download books if the SD is unmounted or if there isn't one. The App must download books to SD instead of internal memory (kind of annoying considering how tiny books are...going to try tricking it into downloading to internal by creating a symlink)
Yes, the SD is inserted. The OS is running off the SD card and there appears to be plenty of memory. I'll have to double check that when I get home though.
I had a similar problem to this. Sync would not bring up my books. Then in the menu I found "Archived items" and all of my books were there then I was able to (re)download them and that brought hem into the main section in the Kindle app.
This is going to sound silly but how do you get in the menu? I don't see a menu or info button of any sort on the main Kindle screen. I'm sure it's probably really obvious and I will kick myself for not seeing it.
ETA: I just switched the Kindle app from the unit to the SD card and tried to send a (free) book to my NC again. It gave a sync error message and told me to try again later.
2nd Edit: I'm such a dork today. I found the menu. *smacks self V8 style*
I rebooted my NC and tried to sync again. This time it at least recognized the book but still wouldn't download. I'm on the wi-fi at work so I'll try this again when I get home where I have more control over the amount of bandwidth available.
ETA: I don't want to bump the thread but I do want to leave a note about the fix that finally worked in case others have this problem.
Go into settings>applications>manage applications>downloaded
Select Amazon Kindle
Under Data select move to SD card
Reboot
Open the Kindle App and it should sync after that.
Im having a problem syncing the Amazon App store to my nook table. i had my nook rooted and it was synced but i procrastinated and didnt put titanium on it and stop the OTA so i had to fix it. now everything is back to what it was but i cant get Amazon to sync this time. Is there something that i did to mess it up and can i fix it?

[Q] Updated B&N application not downloading??

I have CM7 on rooted nook. Last night my B&N application was acting funny, so I went to the new market, uninstalled the new market updates, then went back to the old market, found the B&N update and installed it. Now my previously purchased books can't download, says there is an error. Anyone experiencing this problem? Does it have to do with the new B&N application not recognizing the device? Also on the Application, I can't get to its settings or help tab, in order to check for the sd card assignment. I tap and tap, and nothing. I can tap on the books but get the errors and can't download come.
The Nook app changed names, that generally means that you have to erase data or even uninstall/reinstall.
I cleared data and all is well.
Sent from my NookColor using xda premium
Depending on how old your app was you have to sign out and then sign in and reload your books all over again.

[Q] [Help] Downloads from email apps delete themselves after 2 days

I download my schedule from my email every week. Thing is, the pdf disappears from my phone after two days, without fail. I thought maybe it was all downloads, but I've got a pdf of a remote manual I downloaded in Chrome from a few weeks ago as well as pictures from a reddit app that didn't disappear.
I thought maybe it was my file browser (ES) so I uninstalled it and tried Solid Explorer. Same issue. Interestingly, this issue occurs in both the stock email app as well as the gmail app. I have different accounts (both gmail) associated with both.
I've restarted my phone, but that does not help. I think it might have something to do with Download Manager or the Downloads app, but I have no idea how to test this or to change settings. Can they be disabled safely? Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? I don't have any space saving/clearing apps, nor have I ever installed any.
EDIT: NM, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what is saved and what isn't. Everything I downloaded last night has been cleared from my downloads folder. Not even 24 full hours. Perhaps the reboot clears it? This will require further testing.

Entire SD Card contents erased!

See the attached image.
I was using my phone last night, browsing reddit when a phone call came in. I answered it, did what needed to be done on the call then hungup. I went back to reddit when it asked me to login again; something it rarely ever did as "Reddit Is Fun Golden Platinum" remembers your account info.
A message came in shortly after, to which I wanted to respond with one of the many animated GIFs I keep on my microSD card. I went to the attach image in hangouts and bam, no GIFs. I thought maybe the phone was messing up, so I restarted it. The phone started back up, and still no GIFs or any media on the mSD card. I went into ES File Explorer and it said I had 1.79MB used of my 64GB card.
Previous to that I had about 10GB of music, 2GB of video clips from YouTube and about 500MB of GIFs, among some other random APKs from XDA and other places. Everything on my device was purchased via Play, or xfered onto the SD card after downloading from XDA from the developer (meaning I didn't pirate anything!)
I used a file recovery tool to try and recover some of the items from the card this morning, and well, look at the image. What happened? Why did it format the card, and then overwrite it with some random file?
Notes about my Z1:
Stock, Rooted but unmodified .534 (Android 4.2.2)
No special launchers
Recent installs were Vignette Pro, and Tasker, both from Play Store
This kind of stuff can do only a virus or a corrupted SD. The reasons of why this happen can be many. System Partition Failure of your memory can be one of the reason so if you lost everything you can't do nothing about it. Format your SD in Normal Mode, not Quick. All the application which you paid for it will be downloaded again when you log into Play Store with the account which you purchase them. If this happen again can be a faulty device too.
..or faulty memory SD.
