Is there an app that will allow me to trick apps into downloading on 3g instead of wifi?
Gameloft apps require an extra download for installed games but will only download over wifi, i have no wifi access atm so i'd like to download over 3g instead.

Yes, the wifi button...
Not a rom development issue.

I'm running gingeritis 3d and I'm trying to connect my laptop to my phone. The included wifi tether app doesn't work.
The verizon app has always worked for me so I was wondering if anyone had the apk.
I tried googling one but after downloading and attempting to install via root explorer I got app not installed.

In 3 days you won't be able to use it for free anymore so I'd look for other options if I were you

Hi
I am currently running MIUI version 1.12.9 but cannot seem to download anything using 3G connection. It keeps telling me to use wifi as the download size is too large, can't even download from the market. Is thrir a way to turn this off, as it is seriously annoying.

there is an app on MIUI called "Downloads" open it up then in the bottom bar you will see this text "Download using Wi-Fi" just uncheck that option and your problem is gone
Sorted mate, found the option and its working fine now.
hello guys me question is
I want to disconnect app from internet (wifi+3g)
In short I want to run the app offline how can I ??
If you have rooted phone, you can use some app from g play store...
I have avast! mobile security installed - it has firewall included and successfully block/allow internet access for apps i want to.
I think you can use titanium back up or other like application to break market link or stop being connected to internet.

Hi guys..
I found a way to play modern combat 4 multiplayer with 3g(i tested this with official mc4 only and i dont know if it will work with other game). With 3g? Yes im not joking but i dont know if this will work for you.
Im using p3100 latest aokp unofficial build android 4.1.2. First go to here and give thank to TrevE then download WifiTether_TrevE_Mod_11_22_2012 (defaults to Wifi Driver Reload 1). Install the apk.
This is my setting.
Change Device-Profile - Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Change Setup-Master - Softap (master) or Softap for samsung (master) both work i already test it.
Dont tick anything else. Leave it like that.
After that turn 3g and wifi on, press start tethering (you will get some errors but ignore it, it work for me even with errors)
look at your wifi. If it still on, your doing it correctly. If wifi is not on, do it again. Then you can play multiplayer with 3g (no lag for me).
Im not responsible if you damage your device! If you have trouble with wifi or 3g, just reboot. Ignore my bad english please!
wow you can play mc4 on your tab!!
is it smooth enough?

You can try onavo extend and launch the game while in game hold home button and force stop onavo. I use to do that with wifi only apps with success. O and you also need port forwarder installed. It might work on this game as well.

You can also play multiplayer on your carrier network using Carbon KK ROM. Simply toggle on your WiFi (don't connect to any WiFi networks though) then open the game and launch multiplayer online mode and ta da!
Gotta love glitches lol

He has it working (pdanet) go read on it in the last couple of pages, up to the sticky versions....
I did get the foxfi bluetooth tether to work, you have to install the tablet app on the gear (I did have to change the font scalling for the app to see everything to get it connected)....It works for the browser and amazon app store but for some reason when you try to download apps it says there is not internet access. The download manager also.says no internet access.....but the browser works great including youtube in browser.

Im not sure why some apps can use the connection and some can't....
Indeed, it would have to be with the way bluetooth tethering routes the data connection.
Try my guide. I got it working on Verizon without native phone tethering and I can use the google play store/Netflix
