Anyone heard if this is possible?
Hmmm...I'm interested in that too!
I saw a repack of the requisite files floating around elsewhere - I might give installing it a shot and see what happens.
Worst case is it hard resets my device or shoots freaking laserbeams across the house, hitting my brother's girlfriend, which at the moment I would consider a useful feature...
culd some one post a picture of it running on treo 750 ?
what means touchflo? .. give me link or explanation.. thx

I think with the touchflo interface, the 750v would be near perfect!
That being the case, gimme it please
Simmiter....if you get hold of it and make it work...can you post a few pics and give a comment on your expedition?
Cheers

I went ahead and install the 5 tab htc today plugin and played around with it. Their seems to be a stability problem as the treo now would randomly reboot itself. I tried installing it after a hard reset and it seems okay but started rebooting again after installing my apps. got rid of it for now... hehe
just installed the 6 tab htc home no trouble so far awaiting the probs though
hey guys i heard that the 3 tab works with our 750...i heard it somewhere in the touch threads...btw id we install it, with a simple uninstall and a soft reset, will it get everything back to normal??? or a hard reset is what we have to do to get it normal again...btw where are you guys d/l'ing the touchflo for the 750 from???links please...
hey I have actually installed it on my Treo its loads with no probs. However there are a couple of conflicts like not being able to access the dial pad or call log via the call button. I have even experienced this error while clicking on call log or dial pad. After a little research I found it to be a conflict between the htc home and palm software. Simply clinkin on the left hand corner to initiate the x button pop up I can then click on both the call log as well as the dial pad with out a problem. As for the touch flo cube it does not fit the entire screen, I assume this to be just be the treos 240x240 screen. I also noticed the cube to be slow in it's revolving. If we can get past the conflicts and adapt the program to the treo's screen its possible we might even get it to run as smooth as it does on the artemis. I am shocked at the few interested in advancing such a feature on the treo. I am sure once the cooked roms start to surface we can truly unlock the power of the device.
which touchflo program did you load and where did you get it?
Issues...
Another issue with the Touch Flo Home on the Treo 750, is that the green and red button don't work correctly anymore...
Normally, when you press the red button, the device go to sleep mode, that don't work anymore...
When you press the green button, you don't have the menu with the last call...
That's very annoying for my part...
So I uninstall the Touch Flo Home. Try with the Kaiser's Version and have the same issue...
Touchflo on the Treo 750
Does anyone know how to contact PDAViet? He would be our best option. He may be kind enough to make a rom for the 750 ?? Holding my breath ...
TouchFLO and HTCHome are two very different things.

Can someone send me the File for both TouchFLO or HTCHome? Thanks.
I'd like the link to the CABs of the Touchflo and/or HTC Home that anyone has working on the 750.
Thanks in advance.

I installed the 6 Button Kaiser HTC home plugin on my Treo 750 and have no problems with it @ all. As for the green and the Red buttons, all u have to do is add the "Dial Lookup" to the Today screen and the green and red buttons will work perfectly.
HTC Home and TouchFlo are 2 totally different things. HTC Home is the Today Screen plug-in, TouchFlo is the 3D cube, finger scrolling etc which was 1st introduced in the HTC Touch phone.

HTC Home
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327646&highlight=6+tab+htc+home
HTC TouchFlo is not as easy as just a cab to install. TouchFlo needs to update files on the device that can't be changed will the OS is running, n that's why TouchFlo has to be cooked in the ROM
Ok....
With Dial Lookup checked, the red and green buttons work! Thanks for that.
The problem now is that there is wasted screen real estate below the Kaiser plugin for the network carrier logo.
Hidelogo causes resets so don't bother.
and if you try to type contacts by name they go off the bottom of the screen. is there a way to use the screen better?
Good day all. how are you? hope all is well. i recently purchased a kaiser running dutty's WM 6.1 version. can anyone tell me where i can find the shift key on the keyboard? i looked and cant seem to find it anywhere. thanks in advance
for me its the 2nd button on the bottom left side...
Same here:
2nd button up on the far left of the keyboard. Or you could say the first button on the third row.
All the keyboards I've seen show it as the "Caps Shift" button.
If you using that and saying its not working then it might be the keyboard mapping is messed up. There is a registry key that can fix that problem.
ok i have the Hyper Dragon rom installed
i sucessfully installed pocket cm 0.14, however when i go to settings/personal/imput/and select PCM keyboard and try to select options i get the error "PocketCM keyboard has to be the current SIP in order to configure"
other threads have solved this issue by going into messaging and changing it from the little triangle at the bottom, however when i select PCM keyboard nothing happens. i
m sure im prob doing something really stupid as usual. ideas?
I have the same problems with almost all the keyboard apps, i don't think they are compatible with 6.1. so far only 2 works that i've noticed, spb keyboard and resco keyboard but both must be bought.

Hi there,
I just picket up the code of butlef app made by siggie1970
Butler - Using capacitive area as stroke launcher and many more features
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=464611
I decide to put some new features like layout change on keyboard slide out. It is useful for stoping SIP poping out. You can point to nullkb or any other layout.
Setings available in registry by any registry editor or by AdvancedConfig (configuration file and only Butler section for config file below)
New features added:
1. Feature lets you to set keyboard layout on keyboard slide in/out.
defautl values for IN - Full Qwerty, for OUT - nullKB. Configurable via registry keys:
EnableSIPChangerKbd
KbdInSIP
KbdOutSIP
2. (Butler1.2) After slide in (in my Rom) some services or apps ?? sets back the Compact layout. So double check added to butler - if after slide in 2sec keyboard was changed to something else but not the KbdInSIP, butler sets it again, otherwise no action performed.
that's more like it! I'll check it out after my ROM release, I'm currently building it right now
Thanks linuxis,
I'll test the new slide function. Wondering what wil happen happen when the keyboard is slid out and I pull my stylus out
I'll also let you know if the errors are still there if there is no HKCU\ControlPanel\Profiles key and value like Noonski pointed out. Might wanna include the settings in the cab.
Cheers,
/Cacti

and if i install this cab will i gotta redo all the links and such. aaand is there any settings or same reg edits only?

Yes, it lets you to change both. Separate registry keys for configuration.
No setings - you can use AdvancedConfig or registry editor. I thing that setings
is not used often and application would be bigger and more complex. So no plans for setings.
After install it will overwrite registry setings. If you want to keep old ones - save.
i had added the settings into advanced config for the old version
are you able to see the new feature of keyboard out sip setting in there? i only see the old settings so far
(and what is the number letter code for nullkb? thanks) im an idiot i searched around the interweb finally got the code then went to edit the setting and realized it was arleady set to nullkb blah but great job with the update coudlnt be happier
I had tried to use Butler with NATF ver 4.1 and it frooze the phone at the reboot screen. I had to do a hard reset, do you know if this version has the same issue?
Yup it does on certain roms. I have bo idea why some roms do and some roms dont have the problem.
Advice would still be to always make a full backup of your rom before installing this program!

No idea also. Mine device with ROMeOS 1.51 works fine.
One slite issue - if butler was initialised in portrait mode after slide out/int keyboar changes to one you've configured, but after few seconds it changes to compact qwerty .... if you initialize with keyboard slide out/in keyboard changes to what you've configured and stays (as it should be).
I've investigated that issue shortly, so no idea where is the issue. But I will.
It seems that not the butler changes to the compact kdb.
Does anyone has the same ??

linuxis, I was checking the code before maybe you could disable setting of SIP on initialization? On the old code, I think it's on Butlerlib.cpp line 862 to 878.

Let me know if that works because I don't see the point of having the SIP initialized on startup in the code-- Butler will be detecting the change of stylus in/out (or in your case slide-in/slide-out) anyway when the main thread starts (correct me if I'm wrong about this )
Which ROMs work
Firstly - loving Butler, it's an excellent addition to the phone and if HTC have half a brain it'll be in the next standard ROM released!
Is there any chance we could post up which ROMs work with Butler and which don't? Just thinking it'll save people some time hard resetting and setting up their phones again if they're on a non-working ROM.
Qsqa's PROven ROM 2.1 - Working fine
At0mAng V4.0 - Shows keyboard during boot up, but works fine after that
Qsqa's PROven ROM 2.2 - Freezes on boot up with keyboard showing
Elite RC3 - Freezes on boot up with keyboard showing
Anyone care to chip in their experiences?
PDAVIET V12 - Freezes on boot up with keyboard showing
PDAVIET V13 - Freezes on boot up with keyboard showing
DA_G Kitchen ROMS - Freezes on boot up with keyboard showing (at least the ones I cooked)
Off topic, with a combination of SlideActions & KforTouchPro (and butler for the null keyboard) I now have my SIP's and keyboard working like the should. XT9 when needed, and MS$ driver when the keyboard is slide out. So now I can actualy use the keyboard in iGO8 en Ctrix clients!
Thanks!
Cheers

RREv4 freezes as well
Alternativly, although not quite as developed as butler, TouchLockPro now allows for the launching of programs/command parameters for capacitive swipes and actually adds four more capacitive swipes than what butler does. Likewise it does NOT freeze upon start up for whatever reason on any rom I've tried.
proven works
[BUG] Problem with Manilla.
It has problem with manilla. After launching app its a must to change active tab if you want launch this or another app again.

Yes, Butler doesn't impact on the touch sensitive circle area at all, it only notices and interprets light swipes over the call/home/back buttons.
just bought a TD2 yesturday and managed to flash dutty's holy grail r6.
I used to have the xperia and didn't like it. I'm having a similar feeling with the diamond 2; they both looked good on screen. I think its just Windows Mobile thats uncomfortable. Also, capacitive > resistive. The only reason i can remotely even use this phone is because of my fingerNAILS. When you use an iPod touch for over a year, you'll start to notice the difference of responsiveness.
Some questions I have; help is appreciated:
1) Word Mobile can't turn sideways to use the landscape keyboard? Is there a way to be able to make EVERYTHING go landscape (when i tilt the phone), including the homescreens? (xperia was able to when i slide out the keyboard)
2) Why are there those unnecessary up, down, left, right, arrow keys on the keyboard? I never use them and they have become hindrances. When I go on windows live messenger and use the landscape keyboard, I cant see what im typing because the keyboard takes up almost the whole screen.
3) Can i have more then 15 favorite contacts in the contacts grid tab? (i have manila 2.5)
4) Some of my songs are in another language, so their names are in blocks of letters (when i play them in the music player) instead of proper symbols (chinese, etc).
5) Even after upgrading to dutty's rom, the phone still feels sluggish (music player), SLOW, unresponsive at times. None of my above inquiries would be a problem if the phone was super fast; it would compensate for all faults.

1. Download TD2 Tools, there is a G-Config menu that allows you to specify what rotates.
2. We lost navigation keys with the invent of the scroll bar so.... They got to be somewhere. Change your SIP will resolve this. I use Touch Pal.
3. No. 15 Comntracts is all you can load in teh contacts tab, however you can download Max Manila Themes which will give you 20 shortcuts on your home screen that can be assigned to additional contacts.
4. I know Dutty has language support but not sure how that works. Sorry.
5. I have no issues with this ROM other than the WM6.5 SMS slowdown bug.
I assume you have followed protocol and hard reset after flash?
When you first go to Pics or Music tab, it will be slow at first until everything caches.
Hope this helps. Once you check out max Manila Themes you'll be much happier.

Thanks for the reply Bruce
1) I downloaded the TD2 tools, and added pocketword and wordpad to the whitelist in G-sensor. However, it doesnt work after reseting the phone and they disappear on the list when i go back to check. Same issue with "Enable touchflo3D in landscape".
2) is there another way to change the keyboard? one with unnescessary arrow keys (and other keys) and BIGGER qwerty but LESSER space taken up
5) Ahh, i just feel SO frustrated at the unresponsiveness of these phones. Even after upgrading to a nice rom (dutty's) i dont understand why WinMo is so uncomfortable to use.
Its ridiuclous to type with the onscreen keyboard, both portrait and landscape. Has anyone tried the Hero's? because its capacitive, it actually reads my fingers. I have to grow my fingernails to use this phone productively.
I bought this phone to use it's Word capabilities, calendar appointments, and live messenger, not to mention the very important SMS.
but each one of these has their own faults.
word wont rotate, calendar won't either, i cant see what im typing on messenger, and SMS is slow.
Its ABSURD.
Is there a way to delete or change something in the phone that makes the phone go FASTER? or rather the typing on the keyboard
Another ISSUE.....
Why on EARTH can't I play music (TouchFlo's music player) with the screen off (sleep mode)?? Once i press the power to sleep, the music stops.
If you want an good audio player that also allows you to turn off the screen, must you use Nitrogen.
Swype, instead, is a keyboard that has keys sufficiently large and it don't has the arrow keys.

I like the HTC music player, and to not use other ones. Is there anyway to make the music player during sleep mode??
I'm also familiar with that Swype method but I'm really just interested in a normal qwerty keyboard with large, responsive keys that dont take up so much of the screen.
Thanks for the suggestions though
can you guys please help me? im really in the verge of selling this phone (but its hard to sell it)
However, with the stock rom wm 6.5, if you have setted the deactivation of pda after for example 1 minute, after this period the device will sleep and the htc player will continue to work.
For the input, you also can try Resco keyboard or the other lot of keyboards for wm.
The strength of winmo, unlike other operative systems, is that you can always find a solution to everything ...
Some quick comments:
4) If you are looking specifically for Chinese (CHT/CHS) I use a cab file found on XDA... do a quick search for "uhei00m-gray.cab" file and this should help you. Works well for Touch HD Leo ROMs and my wife's TD2's stock 6.5 ROM.
5) I have use dutty's Leo ROM in my Touch HD before, and the sluggish-ness is due to the Leo build (cover-flow). My wife's 6.5 stock rom (without cover flow) works find without any delay/sluggishness. Keep in mind, the Leo ROM was built for HD2 with has 1GHz CPU to handle the intense graphics.
2) Keyboard, I have been using the TD2 & THD keyboard without the need for finger nail. I think just like iPhone, it takes some time to ramp up (2-3 weeks) when I used it for a short-while.
Good luck, and I think the form factor for TD2 is great! (especially for my wife who cannot stand THD size).
