Has anyone with an unlocked HTC HD7 on ATT recieved the pre NoDo update?
I've got the T-Mobile HD7 unlocked as well, no update.
As far as I know, no HD7's from T-Mobile have the update. You're allowed to update the device without a sim card and so I don't think unlocking the phone makes a difference. It's all based on the IMEI which links the phone to the carriers in Microsoft's database.

I am gonna get a HD7 today from a person who inturn has gotten it from US ( and I'm in Asia), and its a T-Mobile branded phone and is unlocked. The seller doesn't know anything on how it was unlocked.
My queries are:
1. Is it possible to know, How this phone was unlocked ?
2. Is the lock a permanent one ? (I mean, I don't like the phone getting locked again after I perform an update)
3. Any other downsides or restrictions that I might face using this T-Mobile version of HD7 (VS. a Factory Unlocked version of HD7)
All and any feedbacks are welcome
Urgent!!
I saw some threads about updating our phones through Zune and that the NEW MARCH Nodo update won't relock our phones? I'm confused because i asked the same question on Windows 7 General thread and people said it does...can't someone please clear this up for me please
Mine re locked after nodo and won't unlock again cos i can't install the certificate to wp7 to allow chevron to do its stuff. seems ms have banned the installation of .certs
If you've unlocked your phone by some sort of software/modification then your phone will become locked but if a code was used then it won't be relocked. I have a T-Mobile HD7 on WIND in Canada and I've installed the NoDo update and it works fine still.

Good question but wrong forum, moved to general, only Rom Development in HD7 dev forum, questions goes to general forum.
Yeah what is this code?
As of now htc's website said they would have the unlocked One back in stock by may 25. That is a bit long so does anyone know where i can buy from a reliable website to get it. I also live in America. Or since i am on AT&T should i just buy the AT&T version since i can flash all the same roms as the unlocked version i could care less that i can not put in another sim card really. Is their any diffidence between the unlocked HTC One and the AT&T version in software or hardware?

Don't know about the difference, but got mine at Bestbuy in Vegas locked to ATT.
Last Sunday unlocked, got root and now I'm running ARHD 7.1.
I bought a Sprint HTC One and unlocked it - you have to go through a software setup and email HTC code. They then send you the unlock code. I then installed TWRP TeamWinRecoveryProject as my recovery and then you install SuperSU. You will then be able to flash roms with your rooted phone so I dont really see a big difference buying the unlocked version when HTC lets you unlock their HTC One phones unlike - Samsung Galaxie 4 as what the rumor is.
Hi,
I'm new to the community, and I registered for XDA because I haven't been able to find the answer to this question so far.
If I unlocked my AT&T HTC One using an unlock code I bought online, and now I am using it for T-mobile, will I receive the AT&T updates or the T-Mobile updates? Or neither? If neither, how can I receive the updates without rooting and flashing firmware?
Removing the SIM lock does not change how you receive updates.
You'll get the AT&T update.
HTC One won't update

I've tried to scan for the updates, but nothing shows up. I even tried setting the time to October 9th, when the update was released for At&t. Do you have any suggestions?
I have a v40 from AT&T originally. I carrier unlocked it about a week ago and ported out to T-Mobile. I tried to check for software updates using both SIM cards from T-Mobile and AT&T and no update available. How can I get this update?
