I'm running Cm7 7.0.2 stable on emmc with the oc kernel (not a nightly) and the bluetooth will not power on. Everything else works perfect. Ideas?

While in the BT menu hold the power button until it shuts off. Then power up, it will work.
So go to bt settings and hard shut down. Upon reboot it will work, do I need to do this all the time or just once?
Thanks

Ya BT should work when you do a hard shutdown. Also try resetting permissions in the clockwork manager app.

I also found somewhere - goto wireless settings, turn off wifi reboot/shutdown. Turn back on, then turn on bluetooth, wait for bluetooth symbol, then turn on Wifi. Only need to do once. Wierd but worked for me.

Studacris' reply is probably going to be your quickest method of getting there. You can also take a look at the ideas in the "Captivate Connection Issues" thread - there are some download mode suggestions that don't require buttons.
About the power bottom easy to replace go down and find the power bottom issue... : )

Hi everyone,,
I hope I can tell my problem properly with my poor language!:crying:
my device got a problem in response of the power button, sometimes it does not work and I did use the volume buttons to wake up the screen instead of it!
then one time the device fall down from my hand and the battery pulled out so the phone turned off. I tried to switch it ON but no way because the button became totally not working
I tried every way to make it ON, I unscrewed the devise and I check that the button was not damaged and every thing looks fine.
I tried to use some ways that are mentioned in youtube like unplugging the battery several times and so on.. but still not working.
I took the phone to a service shop in my town and they made an electrical check for the button and it was working well electrically! but they could not doing more with the phone because they don't have spare parts for HTC devices!
after that I expected that this issue is a software problem, because I installed a custom rom recently!
finally I succeeded to make it ON using ADB commands and I changed the rom 2 times, but the power button still not working, then I changed the Kernel, and the problem remains :crying::crying::crying::crying:
so, do you advice me to try anything else?
Please heeeeeeeeelp
i have the same problem
i have the same problem here and i use cmd to reboot :'( but i have a big problem my mobiles keeps on shutting down alone and i restart it by adb but if i am out of home what can i do ? anyune help us
Instal script manager and write a script to do it.
And if you using custom rom write to the author mayby he will change a vendor key for you.

I was written what you need to make you life easier if you have power button broken. If you have shutdown problem write to developer of rom you're using. Or change it.

Hi guys, today noticed some strange issue with my touchpad. When i tried to turn on my TP it didn't respond, after few tries i took brake, when tried again used all possible combination of buttons to check if its power bricked. On holding power button + home combination after few sec it finally showed boot screen and it turned android on.
My battery was on 85% but still it gave my trouble to turn him on.
Is it normal thing or should be better to clear my TP and install Android from scratch?
Im on CM9 last nightly build with new kernel from Shumash.

Following this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426244
Will completely turn the TP back to original. It's kind of a PITA, but it works. Read the whole thing and if you have problems with novaterm, there's a work around on page 12.
