OK, now this is a weird one...
Out of nowhere, I tried to open my Calendar and it immediately FCed, saying the Calendar Storage closed unexpectedly. Then I kept getting the same message over and over again until I turned off the sync calender option in my email account.
Any idea what this one is? I changed ROMs today, but it was running fine for several hours before this happened.
Will restoring my last Titanium backup of Calendar storage help? Or perhaps deleting its data from Titanium?
Are you using Jorte? Deleting serial events with Jorte caused this effect on my wifes phone.
Manage Applications / Calendar Storage / Clear Data repairs this - until you delete serial events again;-)

I have never used Jorte, but clearing data solved the problem anyway.
Much obliged.
ah, maybe another calendar app causing the same - fine that your problems are solved then. My wife drove me crazy with this one

Still running the 1.5 on my Eris..Have not had a sucessful sync with the google calendar in over a month. All my entries are in Google Calendar, but they will not sync with my device. I emptied out the data in the application settings ..still NADA. Short of doing a hard reset has anybody had this issue and resolved it . Thanks
Don't bother with a hard reset. It doesn't fix it either. I'm having the same problem with mine. It says com.calendar.... forced close or something to that effect.
Hi all,
I'm running SpeedMod Kernel and stock Froyo 2.2.1. I did have Darky's ROM installed, but I've reset all caches, reformatted all things reformattable and reinstalled stock firmware (though not stock kernel... where does one find that!?).
Anyhow, the issue is (and I've done 5 factory resets so far, same problem each time) that when I set up my Google account, the phone endlessly syncs the calendar (little icon displayed on task bar and icon next to calendar in sync settings rotating). If you try to open the calendar app itself the entire phone hangs and you have to force restart. Also if I leave it for a while and come back it has frozen and needs to be forced to restart. It never stops syncing the calendar...
Has anyone encountered this problem and/or has a solution.
On a possibly related note, some of my appointments in Google Calendar have disappeared... did the phone delete them in it's mental sync antics?
This is really starting to annoy me...!
Thanks for your help!
PS. I have also tried clearing the data in the Calendar and related sync apps in app manager. Can it be that I have so much Google Calendar data to sync? It's been syncing on wifi for over 3 hours now... but Calendar app shows 0 kb, Calendar data shows about 300 kb and Calendar sync helper things shows 200 kb or so....
UPDATE: I've seen others on other forums having this trouble, even without mucking about with firmwares. Their suggested (and often successful) solution was to clear all caches and data and take the battery out for some time to let things discharge. I've done this... and the problem persists. Does anyone know if you can contact Google and have them look at the server side to see if something has snarled up there?
Any help appreciated!
Hi. I have a rooted Captivate with Froyo and a few weeks ago, my Contacts (the app) started acting up.
At first, my contacts (all Google contacts) would disappear and reappear randomly. Now my contacts are all gone, except for a few 'Unknown' ones which are recent callers. What's worse, now Contacts won't open most of the times and when it does, it makes the phone really slow or it force closes.
I don't recall (un)installing or modifying anything and I REALLY don't want to reset my phone.
At the time I was using GoDialer from the market but uninstalling it didn't change anything. Maybe it broke something. Is there a way to reinstall the Contacts app or files?
Anyway, I appreciate any help.
If you saved all your contacts under your gmail account you should be able to get them all back as long as you choose the "sync contacts" under account settings for gmail.
log into gmail, confirm that all of your contacts are there, and try clearing the data for the Contacts application. Then resync and hopefully you are all set. Maybe do a titanium backup of your contact data first, too, just to be 100% sure you don't delete anything.
I'm running Nova HD Plus RC6-15 on my LG O2X.
I noticed that my calendar isn't syncing. It's completely empty on my LG O2X.
So I checked the account & sync status and it had syncing errors on the browser and calendar.
Removed the account. Added it again. Sync started but still no data in my calendar. Gmail is working just fine.
When I go to Calendars in the app and click on the button to choose which calendars to sync it crashes (calendar is stopped).
The thing that strikes me is that under synchronization settings there are several syncs running: Browser, Contacts, Documents etc. All doing fine. The one that isn't working is the Calendar but the name is off. It's called com.android.calendar sync whereas the others have proper names.
Is my calendar app corrupted or something? Is there a way to fix that?
The other thing I noticed is that the mobile version of my google Calendar is empty as well. When I switch to the desktop version I can see the data.
Bit of a weird problem so all help and ideas are appreciated!
Solved my own problem by checken loads of other calendar sync topics.
Found this one somewhere, and it works!
To everyone with sync problems (calendar). when installing CM9 you have to first flash the rom then gapps AND BEFORE YOU REBOOT WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET. This will fix calendar sync.

Hi!
I reset my nexus 6 today, after booting up it is taking forever to sync my contacts. In Settings -> Accounts -> google account, it is showing that it is syncing contacts but never does. In contacts app it takes a 4-5 seconds to show my contacts, but strangely only contacts with no pictures are displaying only. No contact with a picture shows up. And still it is taking forever to finish sync.
I have tried everything but can't seem to solve this issue. I restarted, turned sync off and then on again, cleared data and cache of all relevant apps (phone, contacts, contacts storage, contacts sync) and even reset again.
Can you guys suggest something else.
So I deleted some 10,000 contacts, making total contacts to 2,000. And it solved the problem.

That will do it. On older devices used to get Acore.process has stopped FC for same reason. It gets tired and times out.
