Did you check date and time on the phone? It gets off by a month after installing a new ROM sometimes...

Try restarting the phone.

or check you system time
Its a 'bug' from the new market. Either u update it later or wait for 2 updates or more and update all at once.
Such issue happens occasionally to me too.
Now i have a new market and so far no probs

Happened to me once, here's what I did:
Go to Settings, Applications and then Market. Clear Data and Clear Cache then restart phone. After 3 to 5 minutes on restart, try the Market again...if still freezes, good luck check XDA for the APK of Market maybe reloading it might do the trick

My Apps

When I go to My Apps the screen is blank and white. I can still search for apps and access the app market the only thing verizon wanted me to do us a hard reset which I an not willing to do

Mine was doing the same exact thing. I updated to Market 3.3.11 but it's still not functional only now it says
"(my acct name) apps and games will be listed here"
Everything else works like normal still.

try fixing permitions its not the update mine works fine
Go to applications and clear the data for the market app. It sounds like you have a permissions problem and hopefully that should fix it.

cleared data and fixed permitions, still no my app in market. i went strait from 5.5.886 to 5.7.893. wonder if that had anything to do with it
Same issue here -
"Applications and games owned by this account will appear here"
5.7.893
I have a similar issue only the my apps page is just a black screen. I have fixed permissions, removed the market updater, cleared data and cache and even reinstalled the .apk. I can't figure this out to save my life!

At least I am not the only one so frustrated with this

For now you can use AppBrain to make sure you don't miss any app updates -- still annoying because you have to accept each one, but the only good way to check until this is sorted out.
i fixed my market isues with my apps not showing up. i did a factory reset and they now show up. i kept root and i am still on 5.7.893 and all is good thought i lost rorever root but just redownloaded the su app from the market.

How about just restoring your apps next time.
When you restore your settings and data, you are reloading your problems back in to the device.
If that doesn't work. Just restore one app at a time until you find the culprit.

Push Notification Error

Howdy all!
When I install an appp on my phone (like fb messenger) for the first time everything works great, including push notifications.
Whenever I clean install a new ROM, like i've just done going from CM10 to CM10.1, and I restore the app+data from Titanium Backup push notifications never work. I can only get it working if I completely uninstall and reinstall the app from the Play Store.
Does anyone have a method for solving this problem, or can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
Try clearing the data of the app you restored in settings/apps.

Thank you for your reply. That's what I've had to do, and doing so brings back push notification functionality.
I was just wondering if there a way I could get it back without removing data and having to start from scratch, for future reference.

[Q] Factory restore

If I'll do Restore to factory defaults, will I loose root? Reason is that after rooting and installing couple of apps from market, I can't see task bar anymore. Seems it's hidden and it slides out for half a second with every task bar update, like clock change. I can't figure out how to bring that bar back.

Yes, you usually loose the su binary on the Factory Restore. The factory restore usually leave the /system/apps
intact. The /system/xbin is "Restored" which is where you will find the su binary file. Having said this, Superuser.apk
will remain intact giving you the false appearance that you have not lost Root, yet when a program tries to call the
su binary Root will fail. So, a long story, short: You will have to perform the steps to Root after performing a
Factory Restore. Follow our simple Root instructions, we will have you Rooted in less than 10 to 30 minutes.
Thank you for explanation.
