So I tried updating to the newest Cyanogenmod Beta1 when it failed to boot repeatedly I went to reflash via Odin using stock JM9 with repartition 803.pit. This is what I got on Odin:
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/004> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> modem.bin
<ID:0/004> modem.bin
<ID:0/004> Removed!!
<ID:0/004> Completed..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)
I had selected the modem and rom file that came with the samfirmware.com package.
Now phone will not even turn on, react to button presses, or show that it is charging while plugged in.. Tried taking out battery and putting it back in a few times with no luck.
This is an international version of the phone. Am I screwed? Could the battery have died while flashing or could the bootloader have been messed with?
I am panicing
Did you find a solution?
I have run into the identical issue and was wondering what your solution was?
I flashed the Vibrant firmware by accident onto my GT-i9000m and now the phone is dead, no boot screen, no logo, no reaction to any button combo.
I previously used the usb jig to get into the download mode, and when I reflashed a known to be good rom back on the phone I checked off "update bootloader" assuming the bootloader was at fault. Big mistake.
I've ordered a replacement phone from Bell, but if you have any info it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Hi
I have now for couple of hours tried to find a solution.. did not suceed. So i hope someone has time to help a bit.
Firstly i've tried to "CF-Root" my galaxy S, but i got the message below.
<ID:0/009> Added!!
<ID:0/009> Odin v.3 engine (ID:9)..
<ID:0/009> File analysis..
<ID:0/009> SetupConnection..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I thought maybe it is because of my firmware, so i tried to change the firmware with odin, but got the same message..
I have found people with the same problem, but no answers, so i'm begging for help cause i want to go "darky"
Any known solution to the above?
thanx.
Hi!
When i got the same result, the solution was simple: put my phone to download mode

probably a very stupid question but "Download mode" means to enable the "USB Debuging" or am i totally off?
No, it is by turning your phone off, holding volume down, home and power on until you see a yellow triangle. That is download mode.
Don't try it if you have no idea what you are doing. Also, your download mode may not work which might mean it needs to be fixed.

I think it is better to read first (HOW TO section): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596
That is the point: "Several batches of phones that were sold have the download-mode button combo disabled (VolumeDown+Home+Power or alternatively Home+Power on some phones). Check if the download-mode combo works BEFORE flashing!"

i guess your three button download mode works..what you can do at this point is to download a stock rom...if the rom is only a tar file, place it on the PDA with repartition unchecked and no pit file...after flashing the stock rom, flash the CF Root with unchecked repartition and no pit...place the CF Root tar file on the PDA...that's it...place darky's in your sdcard and flash via CWM
Also make sure no part of Samsung Kies is running (use ctrl alt del and check for it running in the background) as I tried odin after using Kies and had this problem until checking this and rebooting

Thnx for all the responses.
@ jaju123
So that's called download mode, did not know that, ive been there before just did not know that it was called DL Mode
never mind, thnk you, i have now FW 2.2.1...
now the next step is the CF Root and after that i will become darky
always think before you act, is a good thought to take with you from this piont in your quest for the darky !
That is to late.. ive already become darky.though i miss my danish t9 dictionary with samsung/gingerbread keyboard.. The once in the market are not the best.. Is it possible to take out a t9 dictionary from a standard samsung FW and put it in the darky i use now

this worked for me
NONE of these "solutions" worked for me. NOT even unplugging and plugging it back in
Can someone provide a *working* solution?

I just upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V from 4.4.4 Kitkat to 5.0.2 (S6 ROM)
And it says:
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<ID:0/004> Odin engine v(ID:3.1101)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..

<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/004> recovery.img
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> RQT_CLOSE !!
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Well, how can I do this???
I'm having a bit of trouble flashing froyo with Odin (it sucks that neither Samsung nor AT&T will just release an official build). My phone is rooted, and I have installed the proper Samsung and USB drivers. I run Odin as administrator and connect my phone via USB, putting it in download mode. When I hit "start" Odin gives me a bit of progress, but the phone simply sits there. I've tried multiple times and have had it sitting here for close to 30 minutes, stuck on the downloading screen. Any suggestions?
Here is all I get from Odin:

First of all I'm a beginner in android world .
Kernal: 2.6.32.9
[email protected] #1
The problem is:
I was trying to root my Galaxy S I9000 following the steps of [GUIDE] And then there was ROOT !
Everything was great until this step:
- Press "Start". ODIN you should now be flashing the kernel, and the device should reboot.
Odin gave me a red flag with " Failed " and I got this message:
<ID:0/009> Added!!
<ID:0/009> Odin v.3 engine (ID:9)..
<ID:0/009> File analysis..
<ID:0/009> SetupConnection..

I unpulged my device and turned it off, when I turned it on a device-!- computer screen appered, after many tries I took off the battery and put it then I pressed the three combo button, finally I managed to get to download mode.
Now:
-My computer recognizes the device but Kies doesn't ( although it's the latest version and I tried to reinstall the drivers.)
-Odin keeps giving me the same error, and sometimes it stay stop at <ID:0/009> SetupConnection.. ( I tried XWKDD_insecure.tar & KE2_original.zip )
-I'm stuck in download mode.
Please help me get my phone to work (I prefer to return to the same firmware if it's possible).

please help me because i cant leave the phone without of flashing deep sleep fix
When you flash via ODIN uncheck auto restart. Manually restart your device after you get the PASS.
i'l try that
still getting the stock one :/
Try this:
When Odin opens uncheck the auto reboot option to stop your device rebooting back to Android after flashing the custom recovery completes.
After the flash completes recheck the auto reboot option and close Odin.
Unplug the USB cable then hold the volume up, home and power buttons together for about 10 seconds until you see the Samsung logo. Release the buttons right away to boot straight to custom recovery.
thank youuuuuuu sooooooooooooo mcuhhhhhhhhhh it really worked , u really saved me , i've almost lost my hope
took me about 7 straight hours to find the fix thank you sooo much Bro !
No problem. Glad I could help
