Hi All
Just to let you all know that i have searched and searched all over including XDA to help my self before posting so please no "use the search" if you know what i am saying
Here is what i wonder if someone can help me with:
I was given a Tab that apparently has got water on it(only a some drops) and now is not "turning one"?!
And i hope that it can be saved, and the reason why i hope this is because when it is plugged in to a charged it is charging the battery(Confirmed by voltmeter in batter contacts and screen graphics showing that the battery is filling up)
When the tab is connected to the charger it reboot about ever 3-5 seconds(Showing battery icon on the screen), and if i hold down volume up and power button is shows yellow text for 1-2 seconds before rebooting, and if i hold down volume down and power is shows the Downloading Android icon before rebooting after 1-2 seconds.
I have experience with electronics so what i wonder is it like a watchdog timer in the motherboard that could be busted??
And is there ANY HOPE for this one????

Hi, I just got my Galaxy Note last night.
But I found some error with my phone.
If I "POWER OFF" the phone and plug in the charging cable, then it CAN'T turn on the phone when it was charging.
Even I try to PRESS or HOLD the "POWER BUTTON" for a couple of seconds.
It still CAN'T turn it on !!!!!!
And the screen just show me the "charging indicator" !!
And I try to search with the google. I found some of the threads talking about this problems with the samsung device. (but still can't get the solution)
Anyone can HELP me ??
Or......
Please help to try this......>>>
1. COMPLETELY TURN OFF POWER (NOT turn off the screen)
2. PLUG in the changing cable & charging
3. wait for the "CHARGING indicator" show on the screen
4. try to PRESS or HOLD " POWER BUTTON" to turn on the phone
can you guys turn it on or not ??
PLEASE TRY TRY if who is using SAMSUNG device (especially Galaxy Note) !! Thanks !!
I am out now so not able to test this.. but I guess it happened with me (not sure) when I was flashing my rom, my Note is turned off and it was plugged in USB and charging indicator was on... and i couldn't start the phone coz it was charging... but I really didn't give it any attention... maybe its in purpose or a bug.. but for me it was no big deal... I may try it again to confirm
Most of the Not-Wakeup problems are related to the wifi, tun off the wifi and try again that way.
it is the same with my old Streak. I think it's pretty normal
I wait for the charge battery to show up then I hold the power button for two seconds then screen goes blank and it boots.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
when the big battery charge icon shows up, i can turn my device on by holding the power button for 5 seconds or so.
Has always been that for me, cant start it when its charging, dunno why its like that.
send it to samsung and reclaim a new one?
After owning a Galaxy S i9000, an S2 i9100 and now a note I can safely say this is normal behaviour for the Galaxy line, never once been able to turn any of them on properly if already being charged.
Sent via carrier pigeon
yeah me also !
I have to wait a few seconds after the charging icon shows up before it will power on.
as long as it powers on its no problem
yes sometime u have hold it a bit more time
Have a Samsung Galaxy Tab (Verizon) SCH-I800 7" that is stuck in a reboot loop. Searches/fixes for this issue seem almost common, but mine is experiencing this issue much worse than the others I've read about. Full charge, not plugged in; without pressing the power button, the device automatically attempts to turn on, the Samsung logo appears for 5 seconds exactly, it shuts itself off, the process repeats until the battery dies. Battery at all levels, plugged in; without pressing the power button, the device automatically attempts to turn on, an empty battery image displays for roughly 4 seconds and then a full battery (or current level) displays for roughly 1 second.
The 5 seconds while it is on, pressing or holding the power button has no affect. Pressing and holding the power + down volume buttons will display the yellow downloading screen, which displays "downloading.... do not turn off target" and yellow android sign for 2-5 seconds (depending on how quickly I am able to load it". While this downloading screen is displayed, pressing power, volume up or down do not have any affect.
When connecting the Tab device to a computer via the USB cord, the computer recognizes it for approximately 4-5 seconds, then disconnects for 4-5 seconds, repeat forever. The computer is unable to successfully install drivers or do anything useful in this short amount of time. The battery has been replaced as well as I thought that may be the issue, no change.
Any suggestions?
"Pressing and holding the power + down volume buttons will display the yellow downloading screen, which displays "downloading.... do not turn off target" and yellow android sign for 2-5 seconds"
are you saying it turns off after few second even in that download mode?!
what have you done to your phone before that?
are you on stock firmware? version of ROM?
even tho i don't think i am able to help you, but more info my give someone else a better chance on doing so

well, i have experienced this, after i flash a ROM, and my battery is low, i forced it to flash, and became the same like your tab....
maybe this step can help your tab...
1.charge your battery for 3-5 hours
2.after that, quickly hold the power + down volume to download mode
3.connect it with your computer, Restock it
PS: IF after step 1 try to normally boot your tab, maybe there still a hope:angel:
Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Desire 500 from eBay with a broken screen. It turns out that the display works pretty fine and I barely notice the crack on it, BUT there's a bigger issue with that phone. It won't charge. When i plug it in it displays an empty battery with a thunder inside of it and the orange/reddish diode is blinking. When I hold the power button in order to power it on it starts blinking faster and changes the thunder with an exclamation mark. Won't boot, won't enter recovery mode - nothing.
Luckily, my boyfriend has the same phone, and thanks to his charged battery i managed to start mine. It booted instantly. It displays a battery with an X sign on the notifications bar and the diode keeps blinking.
I assume that the phone cannot recognize the battery - maybe i should try to erase battery stats (but this seems to me quite impossible) or it's caused due to the fall. Detatched solder or pin maybe? Or the power supply...
If someone has an idea, please help! I hope that i could avoid leaving the phone for a month at a sevice and paying twice its market price.
Thanks for your attention, have a great day/night! :fingers-crossed::angel:

Erasing battery stats won't help at all.
Can you get me a screenshot from the "X sign on the notifications bar"?
If it does work with your friends battery, then the problem is probably in the battery, and not in the phone, right?? Did you try using your friends charger?
Hi all,
I've been scouring forums all over the place looking for solutions to this issue I have been having with my sprint HTC one. Last night I plugged my phone in to charge but the battery symbol didn't change to indicate it was charging. There was a notification at the top of the screen saying that it was in "usb host mode" so I restarted my phone thinking that that would work. When it restarted the notification had disappeared, but it still wasn't charging. When I googled my issue the solution that most people suggested was to plug the phone in for 10 minutes, then hold the power and volume buttons down for at least 2 minutes. I tried doing that a couple times but none of them were successful. All the phone did was keep restarting. Now my phone is completely out of battery. I have it plugged in to the wall and it flashes the red led light and displays the charging symbol in the center of the screen for a bit, then changes to an animation of a battery gradually being filled. Then the screen will go black for a few seconds and then repeats the cycle and displays the symbol again.
Does anyone know of any fixes for this issue? I do not think I will be able to get sprint or htc to replace it since I loaded a custom rom on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello everyone!
I was charging my phone last Wednesday night, last I checked was the battery was at 92% , then after 15-30 minutes I checked my phone again and I found out it was dead. I tried to charge it again, but it doesn't show or indicate that it was charging, I tried pressing the power button, but no display, I tried hard reset, and it displayed the logo for a while then go black again.
I tried charging it last Thursday evening and the phone suddenly blinks red light for about a minute or more, then no reaction at all.
I tried doing some combos from forums like :
Tried doing while charging press voldown + power button = blinks a red light once
Tried pressing voldown + volup + power button = nothing happened
Tried pressing voldown + power button for 15 secs, then volup + power button for 15 secs, then voldown + volup + power button for 15 secs, nothing happened.
I dunno what to do now, please help, service centres are I think closed here in Philippines due to some implementation of the government against COVID-19.

Mine's bricked and still waiting for it to be shipped to china to be fixed
same situation Sir. Any update on your phone now? what measures did you do? thanks!
today my phone suddenly restart then freeze then restart then long beep for about 10 sec. then dead and can't be power on any more help
Same with me. My Phone suddenly froze, and couldn't turn off or close the game (Genshin Impact) and a high pitched noise was coming from the device.
I Tried to force it to shutdown, but then it can't be turned on at all
The phone itself can't be turned on at all UNTIL some point when the phone reach 0% Battery (yes, I don't even know when does my phone reach 0% Battery)
When the phone reach 0% Battery, you can charge your phone and get some small red light indicator response, BUT IT STILL WON'T TURN ON
Then, after some couple of minutes, the Small Light Indicator would be off, the phone would be look like they're fine, it will show the battery percentage as usual when you charge your phone when it shutdown. BUT IT'S NOT FINE YET.
When I tried to turn it on (no matter Via Long Press Power Button/Power Button + Volume), it would stuck at ROG Logo, then it completely shutdown and can't be turned on again.
