Video isn't working on my NC (CM7 7.0.2), not on games, you tube etc. I flashed an oc kernel yesterday and ran a Quadrant test and it wouldn't go past step 1/10 video decoding, so I went back to my nandroid back up. Hasn't worked since. Should I do a FULL wipe and reflash CM7 or is there a fix? Thanks in advance,
Dave

I actually flashed a kernel after the first kernel and it did get past video decoding but had other glitches with the second kernel so went back to nandroid. Hit almost 2400 on 2nd kernel oc at 1300. Have to brag because my Evo wont go past 1400 on Quadrant, not that I put much stock in benchmark tests (ATM my Evo 1400 is smoother then my NC 2400)

When i first flashed the rom i got 1200 repeatedly.
Rebooted installed a few ups, updated some and now i just about hit 1100.
yeah i was getting 1250 when i first got it
after about 150 apps including fonts and live wallpapers
i get 1180-1160
Just a reminder that quadrant actually says very little about the performance of your device..
I'm getting 1400 to almost 1600. But I'm also using darky's rom so I don't know if you want to count that or not
1200 with no lagfix, 1500 with voodoo. phone is running sweet at the moment, much better than when it was scoring 2300 on jp7. Have been running it alternating lagfix on and off, cant notice any real difference

Running Darky's 5.2 rom.
1595 on Doc's v.4.0 with Voodoo lagfix oc1.2Ghz!

Whats the maximum ever anyone got ? I saw the dhd is getting 3000 how reliable is this?

Quadrant scores should only really be treated as a bit of fun, a mate of mine with the hd oc his and got 2932, but the phone was unstable and actually ran slower at that speed then it did stock. As I said earlier my phone scores a consistent 1200 without a lagfix and it is definitely running the best it ever has. I had it overclocked to 1.2 before with oclf and it was scoring 2300-2400, the phone seemed fast but not as smooth and stable as what it does now with jpu installed

I dont get whats going on, now when i try it im getting around 1200 again, seems like the IO score is fluctuating quite a bit!
As a comparison i get 1877
On JP5 using Z4Root and OCLF.

I've got the latest 1.1ghz kernel on stock rooted but when im in the setcpu app it never shows it going above 1000. Is it just not going to hit 1.1 within the app or am i doing something wrong?

This is a known issue on stock and froyo but not CM7. I'm looking into it as soon as I get the chance this weekend.
Hi everyone!
Just got my SGT7 around a month ago... and I like it. After a week of usage, I rooted it and flashed Overcome. Now, I'm using Overcome 1.4.3 with Kernel 2.1.4. I noticed that when I play vids, it sometimes stutters. Anyone experiences that?

you know the definition video is a very vague term.
it could range from a 180654p 3456789kbits mkv,
to a 50*40 50 kbits 3gp.
please be a little more precise.
galaxy tab 1.4.5 overcome
Return to stock clock speeds + conservative if using setcpu
Go to recovery mode and wipe the cache. Then use titanium to clear the player's cache.
Also try a different media player. I'm guessing you're using the stock one? Give moboplayer a shot. It plays more formats too.
I had a similar issue, I thought it was the overcome kernel but I had changed to the ondemand governor in setcpu, going back to conservative fixed it for me.
If you view the setcpu description in the market it does mention to stick to conservative for galaxy s devices & the tab is basically a big galaxy s.

Hi. I have flashed talon 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 and benchmarked CPU using quadrant advanced.
I found that all versions got score around 1950 on CPU except v1.6. 1,6 kept getting 1200. Can this be related to JIT or Dalvik cache?
I noticed that other versions got 1300 on first run and subsequent runs got around 1950.
I also used to have 2.3.3 rom with talon 1.1 kernel (i think) where I used to get around 4500 for cpu on subsequent runs...
I tried to post in development section but I dont have permission..
If someone could get this to Talon developer, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks
For one thing. Quadrant is not for our processor

Useless post is useless
I scored sometimes over 8K with CM7 for CPU so that tells you how good Quadrant is lol
Also. Don't try to post stuff like this in development section.

And to be technical, it's version 0.1.7,.not 1.7
Greeting from the Charge forum.
I recently tried out a Gingerbread based leak on the Charge and found the Flash video playback to be significantly slower on Gingerbread with or without Voodoo lag fix enabled or disabled.
I don't know if the problem is the leak, phone specific, Gingerbread, or Flash player. I just don't have enough exposure to Gingerbread.
Having said that, I know the Captivate is a much more mature device.
So my question is how does Flash video playback on the Captivate compare between Froyo or gingerbread?
Try this trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRdxXPV9GNQ
On EE4 (Froyo) with or without lag fix I get smooth frame rates up to and including 720p.
On EP1W (Gingerbread) it's unplayable in 480p and okay (not perfect) in 360p.
Let me know if you get smooth frame rate in 720 or 480p.
Again, these test are in the browser, not the Youtube app. It requires your browser to be in desktop view mode.
If I turn my CPU up to 1440 its smooth. Anything lower its choppy in 720. Smooth at 360 no matter what I'm set to.
I assume you are runing on a Gingerbread rom/kernel. Do you or anyone else happen to have a Froyo rom/kernel for comparison?
Yeah I'm on miui right now. If no one shows up by end of night in a couple hours ill flash to a froyo n let you know.
I'm on stock KH3(latest leaked GB2.3.4) and no OC/UV and no lagfix as there isn't one for it at the moment! its fine at 720P

Great news. So we know that your getting hardware acceleration with Flash video playback. We know that Gingerbread supports hardware acceleration and Flash.
The question is what settings/configuration do you have on your phone that tells Flash to use your hardware (Hummingbird) to accelerate video playback.
Perhaps M3drvr and I can try build.prop edit?
I have used to V8 supercharger for the KAK tweaks and 3G booster and lag nuliifier

I'm on apex 9.3 and do not have any issues with lag. Runs just fine in high quality.

You are running from the Youtube app. I am talking about running Flash video from the Flash player within your browser at 720p.
Try again, and report your results.

You are correct in that I was using the YouTube app and I tried the mobile youtube website before as well without any issues. Although when I switched over to desktop mode, I can't select the 720p setting. I tried on the stock browser as well as DolphinHD browser and when I click on the quality button to select the 720p setting the menu flashes for a sec and then goes away. Not to sure why it does that. Never had that issue before.

Can you post/host/upload your build.prop?
I'd like to see if I can trick Adobe Flash.
Thanks.
