sounds like you have no recovery.. is your device rooted? try holding home and power to turn it on (when its powered off of coarse)
ive tried that, it goes straight to the same creen with serial0 in the middle
oOo uhhhhmmmmm i dunno if that means its bricked..? i hope not.. wat have you tried so far? and wat else does it say when you get it on? it only says serial 0??
anything i try to do, it ends up at the screen that i said before with 4 different setions horizontally, red, green, blue and white. on the red portion there are yellow letters that read as such:
"DREA100 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-2.22.23.02
SEP 2 2008"
then on the middle of there is a white strip across that says "serial0" in black letters and thats all.
i havent tried much, just read a few suggestions on other websites with different button combos to get it to work but they didnt. i also took it to the t-mobile store and the guy who helped me did a factory reset and when he rebooted it, it went straight back to this screen and he said he didnt know what to do

I just got my diamond and booted it for the first time, and it's stuck on a screen that has a 4 horizantal bars, red, green, blue, and white from top to bottom, with the text DIAM100 64M SPL-1.35.0000 MicroP-Diam (LED) v11 PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x30...
Can't turn it off... Help please
Ok so I just tried unplugging it and the word "Serial" appeared on the bottom bar... I don't know if I imagined that it wasn't there before or not. I plugged it back in and it's still there... How do I hard reset?
Ok, I googled how to soft reset it and this seemed to solve the problem.. But what happened?
you hit the volume down button while turning the phone on. This way you can enter the bootloader, keep following the white rabbit and you'll get in wonderland (be warned, it's highly addicting).
So as I finished a phone conversation, i pressed the power button once (sleep), then pressed it again...then all of a sudden my phone went weird on me!
It went "Rainbow Screen" on me... a red, green, blue & white stripe appeared with the word "serial" on the white part and the words:
"
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
"
what could that mean?!?
I tried doing a hard reset but it would just go right back to the screen
I tried plugging it to the computer but the word "serial" would just turn into "USB" and would do nothing else...
what could be going wrong!?! I don't even know what I did...
any help would be great!! thanks!

You need to reflash your rom and read this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423486
I have been running CyanogenMod-4.04 for a while now. The other night I knocked a glass of water over on my night stand in the middle of the night on both My iPod Touch and my G1. Both are now acting possessed to varying degrees. The volume rocker on my G1 no longer works and the volume creeps to max randomly, which is annoying at work.
When I first modified my phone, I ran the nandroid backup of the tmobile donut settings. I saved that file on my desktop computer, however for some reason, I have completely flaked and lost that file. I replaced the backup file on my SD (yes, it's the ONLY backup file on the card, the rest are in a folder on my computer)
Anyway, I want to roll back to factory settings and take it in to tmobile and see what they will do. I sure don't want to have to deal with Asurion, even though I am paying for it.
I have checked the moisture dot and while its not red, one very small edge is showing red. How will they judge that?
At any rate, is anyone knows where I can get the original non modified OS or any way to roll it back to factory settings before I try to get a new phone, I would appreciate it.
grab the rc package for your area (29 for us, 9 for elsewhere) extract the dreaimg.nbh and put it on the main folder of your sd, turn off your phone and enter the bootloader by holding camera and power. flash draimg, then you will be back at stock
grab the rc package here, first post

awesome, thanks for the quick response, I'll get to work on that. Does anyone have any idea how they will interpret the moisture indicator? It's probably less than 10% red.
still says water damage, call the number in my sig, ***** and complain to them and demend a new phone today from a store saying that it is urgent to have anew phone today. don't say nothing about water damage, say it is acting screwing on it's own
ok I downloaded the rc29 and followed the procedure quoted below.
I did not see a Grey White screen when I entered bootloader, I received a red, green blue and white screen. In the red bar it says
Drea100 pvt 32b
hboot-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
Radio 0 2.22.19.261

There is nothing else there, no instructions to restore image or anything. it has been that way approx 10 minutes. Should I remove the battery or do I need to wait
STEP 1: DOWNGRADE
Our first step is going to downgrade your phone to RC29, This is like removing Windows XP Service Pack 3 and installing Windows XP Service Pack 1. It allows us to use a security flaw to gain root access. This section is going to use FILE 1 from the downloads
1) Turn the device power off.
2) Hold Camera button, and press Power button to enter bootloader mode.
3) You should see a gray/white screen with instructions to flash your phone with the update on your SD card.
4) As per the on-screen instructions, press the Power button to start upgrade procedure. DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS.
5) After it is finished, perform the restart your phone. (May take up to 15 minutes to boot)
6) Complete the setup process for gmail.

Hey everyone, I've been stuck on the g1 "rainbow" screen.
Yesterday, my phone died on me and then i decided to leave it off until the next day. Today, I plugged in the charger but when i try to turn on the g1, it goes to the rainbow screen and displays "serial0" near the middle.
I've tried installing the rc33 dreaimg.nbh ... and it DOES install, but when i restart the phone, it just goes back to the same rainbow screen.
What can i do?!! Please help.
If it's of any importance, the rainbow screen also displays:
DREA100 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.85.0000
CPLD-4

Hi,
I just tried to boot my HD7 and all I get is the ugly Red, Green, Blue and White Screen of death with following message:
In red area on top of screen:
PD2100 SS_BC (4)
SPL-1.69.2250.0(117833)MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH S1(v1.8,#1624)
Green area:
SD SANDISK 7580MB Class0
Partition info-v211v413
Blue area:
is empty
White area at the bottom of the screen shows USB in the middle when I connect it to PC and SERIAL when I connect it to charger?!?
Need some help desperately..
Teo
Suddenly it works again, don't ask me how because I don't know, didn't do anything especially, just smashed it on the floor... .. two times
10X anyway,
Teo
I believe that was your bootloader
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
The multicolored screen would be your bootloader screen that you enter in order to flash a stock rom. Perhaps your volume button caved in during the accident? The bootloader is accessed by holding down the volume down button and pressing the power button.
lol thats your bootloader, holding the camera key down while powering on is bootloader
