Verizon Tab Rom's/Nandroid/Clockwork??? - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So for us Verizon (CDMA) tab users, What is our options for flashing a rom? I mean I keep reading but nothing really sticks out here. Can a whole buch of you guys suggest a few roms out here or there that I can flash?
Plus whats the deal with clockwork? I installed bootstrapper and it jacked up my tab!!! Thought I bricked it... I went ahead and did a backup or I think a nandroid backup went into recovery mode hit restore backup and I got stuck. Any one have answer for that? As to why that would happen?
So once again, How many roms do us verizon tab users have to flash? Plus how can we get a working Nandroid backup? Any links provided would also be greatly appreciated.
Thankl You for your time.

So no one here has a Verizon Galaxy Tab running a different rom other than stock?

[Q] nandroid question

Hi everyone,
DISCLAIMER - I have an Eris, and don't know anything about Motorola Droids. I am asking for a friend.
I have a friend with an original Droid. He is on Froyo via OTA, and he is rooted. He is thinking of playing around with ROMs and I told him to make a nandroid backup before he starts, but he doesn't have that option when he boots into recovery.
What is the easiest way for him to get to the point where he can make a nandroid backup (or something similar)?
Thanks in advance

Restoring original ROM?

OK, when I first started into this stuff, I tried to follow all the guidance that has been given before flashing my first ROM. I did a ROM Manager backup of my ROM the way I got it from AT&T. I did not write down my ID # or anything else. I'm assuming the backup has all the information that came with it. My question is how to re-load that original ROM. I've flashed quite a few ROMs now using the Odin one-click to go back to stock and Master Clear and never had a problem. I'm running P9 right now (w/ no problems) and decided to try something else. After seeing some of the threads on here about your original phone IDs, I wanted to try and recover that info by restoring the original backup. I did that straight from P9, but now I just get locked up on the DG boot screens. I'm going to One Click it again but I'm wondering how I can restore back to my original with the backup that I have. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
My apolopies if this is already posted somewhere but I can't find it
Your can not restore a 2.1 backup when on a 2.2 rom, if I understand you correctly. In fact I would only restore a backup if you are on the same rom as the backup, and even then you should disable the lag fix prior to restoring

Not to sure, I tried going to original with nandroid backup after flashing another rom and soft bricked. I actually got stuck at the AT&T screen which on Perc 9 (that what I was running) was the designgears boot screen. Odin 3 one click saved my sanity. if you can go 2.2 to 2.1 I don't know, but I'm not going to try it again. I just one clicked, master cleared, rooted, flashed Axura 2.5 and have been happy ever since. This was my fault, not Perc 9's, let me say that real clear.
Got it
Thanks. I did have to One Click restore to stock, Master Clear, and then restored my original backup. Now I gotta figure out what information I need off of it before I flash a new ROM. Probably a waste of time since I can't imagine going back to AT&T for anything, but thought I would get it since I was waiting to change to P10 soon.

Um.. what information did you want off of it? If you just want your Android ID - there is an app for it on the Market (strangely enough called Android ID) You can then write it down and re-enter it at any time after flashing.

Getting N-7000 to work on AT&T, coming from i717

Hello,
I've done a lot of searching on this topic, but I'm not sure what information is outdated and what information is current. I had an i717 on LTE (AT&T), and am switching to N-7000, and need help making sure the transition is smooth. I'm also new to droid so pardon the noobness.
1. Network - can I just swap the sim over, and use APN restore? I've seen talk of having to input APN's, or calling AT&T to make sure you're on the 'correct' 4G data plan instead of LTE, and stuff about provisioning with IMEI's?
2. Root/rom/kernel: I had saurom and dag overclock on the i717 and it was very simple to root and install...it seems a lot more complicated for the international note? What are the easiest steps to get it rooted, in plain english?
3. Once rooted, with CWM, can I just flash roms and kernels through CWM, then restore through titanium backup as before?
4. Do I have to use different APN settings for different roms? I'm currently interested in Rocket Rom and Franco/Darky kernel - any other suggestions for stable/fast rom/kernel combos?
Would appreciate your help, thank you!

The answer to the above is yes.
As for APN settings: I never had to do a thing about it after flashing roms. Everything would automagically work. Don't know if it'll work the same way for you (I'm in Europe).
Appreciate the input =)

[Q] Help with the SGH-T599N

Hi, I just got a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit SHG-T599N. I have successfully rooted the phone. Well, I think I did. All junk apps that I want to trash has the Disable or uninstall button greyed out. I didn't have that problem with my other rooted phones so I'm not sure if its truly rooted. Titanium Backup is running and says it's rooted. Did I screw up somewhere or is that how it is? Also I would like to install a custom ROM. Was thinking about PAC ROM. Does anyone know which version will work or have any recommendations? Thanks and have fun.
PS I'm not sure if this is the right thread since I couldn't find one for my phone.

Help! Can't find proper rom!

Hello. So recently I have installed root on my samsung galaxy s5 mini or SM-G800H. The build number is G800HXXU1BPA1. Now I decided that I want to remove root so I tried to go to SuperSU directly via app and press full unroot. That is when it failed to unroot. From there I knew that I had to reinstall the factory rom for my phone. However me being a complete idiot, I didnt write down the firmware version. So I tried to go full mad and I tried multiple roms but I couldn't find the one right for it. I installed one but the back and the multitask buttons on the side of the screen werent working and also the internet was also failing to work. For the other indian version (Boi), the phone went under a constant boot loop. I am trying to look for the proper firmware. Some places say that the BPA1 is an African model but how can that be if I bought it in India? So to make things short, I need help on what rom to flash. The Indian ones? Or the African ones? I will try the one made for BPA1 or at least they say it is. If it works ill get back to you. If it doesn't, then much help is always appreciated. Thanks guys.
