No. T-Mobile decided to not include any tethering applications.

So I was assuming since Windows 7 comes with like drivers for everything, I'd be ok, but apparently I'm not. I'm dropping my ISP this week. I can't justify paying $30/month for the same internet connection that USB tethering my phone can provide me. I plugged it in to Tether and I get a failed driver install. Windows knows that it's an android phone, thats about it though. Can anyone point me in the correct direction??
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate, 32bit
Phone: Hero CDMA w/ CyanogenMod 6.0 and a kernel that allows 768mhz OC.
It does come on windows 7. Could be your cable, try another to make sure. And what rom? If it's sense, you have to use htc sync software. If it's cm, google wired tether for root users and use that instead of the built in one, the built in one has bugs with htc phones.

So it turns out the drivers weren't on Windows 7. Once I could find them, I was ok

Hello,
How can I connect a 3G dongle to a WiFi-only Dell Streak 7?
Or tethering is the only option for 3G connectivity?
OK, I've managed to connect to a 3G network using PDAnet application (tablet edition) and my HTC android 3G phone
Did you use the same pda net tablet (beta) app on both the phone and the tablet?

Click to collapse
Yes, you need to install the same app on both (pdaNet tablet).
You set the server mode on phone and client mode on tablet.
Both phone and tablet must have the bluetooth enabled and paired with each other.
Then follow the instructions on tablet side (set ip and port) and then select the android phone and that's it, you can connect to internet with your tablet through your phone

I would like to see an answer to your initial question.
I need access the internet via 3G or 4G on my Streak 7 WiFi only about once of twice a week.
I have a T-Mobile pre-paid account and I want to access there daily (24 hr.) web pass for $1.49 on the Streak.
I have been researching for the past two day looking for info on this subject.
Can I somehow use a male to female USB converter and buy a USB data web stick to directly hook-up to my Streak or do I have to buy a CradlePoint personal WiFi hotspot and the connect the data stick to that.
Other options are buying a T-Mobile 4G Mobile Hotspot at $129.99 but I was told that I could NOT use the day pass with this product.
I could buy a phone that acts like a hotspot like the LG Optimus T for $100 but I don't need another phone.
Any other ideals of comments?
Thanks,
DjL
Hi all,
I'm having issues with USB tethering with the new HTC One (T-Mobile). I'm running Windows XP Professional SP2 and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).
I installed the latest HTC Sync Manager (version 2.0.53.0) from the web, but I can't seem to get the "HTC remote NDIS device" to start. I see an error code in Windows device manager: This device cannot start. (Code 10). I can recognize the phone as a mass storage device and sync with the Sync Manager. I can also navigate the file system using Windows explorer.
I also applied the RNDIS hotfix for Windows (support.microsoft.com/kb/959765), but no luck. I needed this to get USB tethering to work with my Motorola Droid Bionic (also running Android 4.1.2 on Verizon).
Bluetooth tethering works as does tethering with PDANet. USB tethering also works fine on this computer with my Motorola Droid Bionic.
I called T-Mobile to confirm that they're not blocking tethering capability on their end. Anyone else seen this issue?
Thanks!
HTC won't support Windows XP SP2
I got a reply from HTC. In short, their RNDIS drivers were never tested with Windows XP SP2. And they don't ever plan on supporting SP2.
My HTC One is connected and is sharing internet via usb tethering to my pc however it just shows that the network has no internet access even though it works on PC. I have android 4.3 custom Rom, but the correct driver is installed and windows 7 reecognizes the phone in network adapters.
I have windows 10 Mobile [INTEROP UNLOCKED]
how can i get internet access in my windows phone by bluetooth tethering it with android device.
