I've that same problem when the battery goes below 40% and always hung, restart itself then stuck in bootloader.
23001 formatted my SD card today, so it could have many bugs.
now i m using Himalaya 6.5 5.2.23409 (Build 23409.5.4.0)WWE 16MB_PP32MB_RD 06/09/2009 by zjw831 ....
still hav the problem and i can recieve files from blue tooth...no-2 cant send text msgs somtimes....like a lot of time ...it says error syncronising..
can anybody plzz help
haha, u all dunno this? OLD PROBLEM! reminds me of the old days with tofclock in buzz dev forum with the 1st WM5 upgrade.
himalaya battery driver for wm 5,6 all cannot work correctly so if you want battery to work properly, use back wm2003 official
but some batches of the battery can survive till 30% with network connected.
my 2cents are buy extended battery for it or extra battery that can support till 30%.
i really didnt know about that...
can u plzzz upload those patches for us?
I thought i had fix the battery issues but they started again
Nevermond it eventually turned off today It was ok for all of yesterday and today but turned off. Luckily my friend had a charger with him. I hope someone can resolve this problem

You know that you're not going to get any help from anyone unless you post details right?
About the last_kmsg file?
Or a logcat?
Are you using apps to sd?
What rom are you running?
Do you use swap?
Are you overclocking?
Are you using anything other than the original boot.img file from whatever rom that your using?
When was the last time you wiped?
Are you running a theme?
COME ON! Just saying that you're having a problem isn't going to get it fixed.
By the way, saying that you are having a problem and with the text "i fixed it!" in the thread title is... sorry to say... really stupid. Change the thread title, post the above details and I guarantee you will get help of some kind.
I just downgraded from cyanogen 5 to super D 1.11. No im not using apps 2 sd. I have set cpu but have it 245 max and 245 min to save battery. Im not running any theme and i just flashed the rom yesterday. With the new rom phone was great until i was watching a vid on my phone and it turned off in the middle of the vid. O and thanks for your help By the way i dont know what the log cat is im kind of a newbie lol
Try Enomother's Rom. those are really great and doesn't have any issues.

Hi, I'm a noob on xda-developppers so yea, everybody hates me. But I would really appreciate any kind of help with this problem, which is:
I have had my htc incredible s for about a month now, and I love it. Only problem is, recently, it started crashing for no apparent reason and upon restarting, I send a troubleshoot message to htc. This has happened 8 times, and now the phone has crashed and refuses to start. The alarm woke me up at night and everything was fine with the phone, so I went back to sleep and 15 minutes later it refused to start. I've tried changing battery, charging, hooking it up to the computer... Nothing works, and it won't even acknowledge that it is being charged. I have no idea why it is doing this, especially since it's only a month old!
Can anyone help?
Restore to factory settings?
if that doesn't work, return it to HTC, might be hardware. i assume you're not yet flashing any custom ROMS right?
Try a factory reset as cardiii suggested ... If that dosent fix it ... Run a ruu ... If that dosent work either ... Then get a replacement ...
This might be cuz of some app u installed ... Anything installed before this happend?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App

Why don't you try to root and flash some roms to make a change with your phone ? I tried and that's so great.
Claim it and ask for new. Looks like HW issue.

Hi, I'm having some issues with GSM when using Android. Phone never looses signal but I can't receive any calls sometimes. Why is that? Is there any way to fix this?
Never mind, my Kaiser was just killed by another kernel flash . I wish I wasn't so stupid to try this fu**ing Android ****!
How you manage to do that?!

It just stopped working after another kernel flash. It turns off after 4-5 seconds. Anyway, what about those radio issues? Does anybody have a fix? Maybe someone will find it usefull. I'm still trying to heal my phone .
Anyone? Please help me .
Please help me . Anyone can say anything about that issue? Thank you a lot.
What is your current radio version? Which kernel did you flashed?
BTW, I know I am currently have my own problem with my Kaiser, but may be we can figure this thing out for you. You never know, I might end up fixing my own problem.
Tomcug, what do you have radio? Best for android is probably 1.70.19.09 or 1.65.21.18...
However I had a similar problem. Solution for me was the exclusion of data transmition. Try this-> Uncheck option in Settings / Wireless & Networks / Mobile networks / Data enabled.
@ Tomcug - Did you ever solve this problem?

Well, I don't know ATM because I'm fighting with Android right now. Something strange happens, random hangs and reboots, probably something you're dealing with too . Don't know why, I've never had this issue before, at least not until I started to play with kernels, now this bug occurs with every kernel...

Told you I wasn't lying (LOL Just Kidding)..
Yea! I am still trying to fight these issues (both reboot and shutdown on its own). It's something to do with the Kernel/radio combo and I am thinking it might also be related to SPL (base on past experience with Android on the other phone). I end up (for now) flashing the 2.6.25 to see if it will stop. We will see.
EDIT: BTW! The battery is playing tricks on me too. It keep jumping back and forth between full (or somewhere in between) and low battery...

Oh! I see.
Well, my issues were still there, I was missing many calls all the time. So I just ran out of my patience and flashed WM 6.5 . I'm very happy user of Kaiser again now, Android is just problem maker on this device, anyway it's an OS designed to spy user so I don't care .

Sorry to hear, have fun... I'll be sticking around with Android. Just flashed updates to bootanimation. (droid bionic) Looks cool...
Also, I am in the process of getting that new battery. So, I should be good to go with the battery problem.
Is there any way to go back to the original Android v2.3.4 after automatically updating it to 2.3.6?
You see, 3 days ago, I went in Settings>About Phone> Software Update. My Galaxy Ace was earlier running on android 2.3.4 (DDKQ6 if that helps) and it was superb. After I chose the "Software Update" option, it downloaded a 14MB file and then stated my phone would be rebooted and no functionality would be enabled while its rebooting.. So the phone rebooted and it took me into a "recovery mode" like state and the android logo was there with this box showing an arrow pointing out of it. Below was just a yellow status bar showing how much was completed. It took me about half an hour and the phone started. My phone is now running Android 2.3.6 *DDKQ 8*
Initially, everything was fine.., I was enjoying the new UI and all, but then the problems started coming up... My battery started to drain like hell!! Earlier, running 2.3.4, I'd full charge the battery like at 7AM and after a day of full usage, downloading apps, IMs, browsing the web, playing games, listening to music and all, the battery would then come to somewhere around like 10% toward 6-7PM in the evening.. But now, running 2.3.6, my battery gets eaten up like Gabriel Iglesias to tacos! xD
I'd charge it in the morning and by noon 12 o clock its 40% already.. and barely lasts till about 2 o clock.. So that's one thing, my battery runs down really fast.
Second, my tethering gives trouble.. I cant connect to the internet when I turn the phone into a wireless hotspot. Sometimes there's even trouble connecting to the phone.. And when I do manage to however, then I get messages like This website cannot be displayed and all, but on the phone's browser the pages open. I've checked my computer's settings, its all fine and haven't been changed at all. It worked without any issues when I had 2.3.4 ..
And one final thing is that my Bluetooth's giving trouble too now.. I'll try switching it on, and below in grey its written "Turning on..." and then after like 30 seconds it says "Failed" and a few seconds later, it'll reboot automatically. This doesn't happen everytime i switch on the Bluetooth, but then again, it never happened with 2.3.4.
So highlights,
I've told you the steps I used to update it. Settings>About Phone>Software Update. It was a FOTA update and I didn't have to hook it up to the PC or anything.
Error messages like the Bluetooth failing and the phone then rebooting, portable hotspot problems, and the insane battery drainage..
These are the main issues..
I'm mainly wanting my battery life to come back the way it was..!
I never had any problems with my Ace.. It was the BEST phone for me.. I was so enjoying it. Didn't think 2.3.6 would ruin so much.. To be honest, I didn't think that 2.3.6 was coming my way when I did the software update. I was just thinking it would be some other minor changes since it seemed just 14MB but obviously, I was wrong, and now learnt more about it xD
So my question - Is there some way to revert to the earlier version of Android2.3.4? Please say YES xD and then please tell me how do I do it! I've searched the internet so much but to no avail. They all keep saying to use this ODIN thingy and download some other files and flash the ROM and all.. I'd give it a try, but I'm not really keen on doing it just yet. I'm looking for alternatives.
The only other thing I've done to this phone is root it.
So please help me getting back to the earlier original Android 2.3.4 I had since the day I bought the phone! It worked like a charm without any errors, problems what so ever!
U should first download the 2.3.4 ddkq6 firmware from www.samfirmware.com .
Then unpack it and flash it via odin.
There are maby tutirials on how to use odin . Just search on google. When u flash it u hav the previous firmware. Just follow the steps properly
from XDA app
Press THANKS if I helped
wipe cache is recovery n c if tat helps
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk
THANKS!
Thanks a lot for the help! I flashed it with Odin .. I was looking for alternatives but now I guess that was the only way.. Anyway, it wasn't as complicated as I expected it to be.. Happened with ease.. Now its back to 2.3.4 DDKQ6 and hopefully it'll be working just the way it was!! Thanks THANKS THAAANKKKSSS!! xD Finally!

Hey "GuitarGuy96", I think you are the only guy havin' problems with battery backup when upgraded from 2.3.4(DDKQ5) to 2.3.6(DDKQ8) ...All others have stated "improvement in battery backup" as the major highlight of the update (that includes me too..)...I suppose no one will ever think of a downgrade from DDKQ8 to DDKQ5...

Hey, so yeah you've got to hold down the middle home key button + the key lock/power button + volume down button in this sequence. Don't remove your fingers from any of them as it boots... Be patient.. It'd take a few seconds then you should see the Downloading screen and you're set!
Hope that helped, and it all goes well..!

Ofcourse I did use Titanium Backup maybe. I've heard it does wonders. Though I've never tried it personally myself.
Stocklite is quite a good alternative other than just flashing the stock rom again. The battery life is rather great, as it uses the battery extender kernel.
