kudos for this great rom as I am using it with no problem until i installed Waze.
My issue:
Waze seems to work ok until I click the 'Report' button located bottom right. Whether I go on and report something or simply go back without reporting anything, I end up with a black screen with only the two buttons available. No more map display.
If I tap one of the two buttons, I can see the map (and all wazers or events) displayed in the background of the menu that pops up. But as soon as I get out of the menu, I'm back on that black screen.
Note that only the 'Report' button triggers this problem, if I tap the main button bottom left, I can go back to the map with no pb.
Workaround: Not really. Only exiting the app restores the map.
I also noticed that if I stay on that black screen, my device will shutdown its screen (Waze option to prevent this does not work). As long as I'm seeing the map, it behaves as expected on that topic.
What I tried to fix this (with no luck):
-Removed Waze after wipping data/cache
-Removed remaining files manuallly
-Went to recovery and wiped cache/dalvik +fix permissions
and what does rootbox do? will rootbox fix this?
Up !
Same for me on my international I9505... App new release doesn't fix it... Any chance from xda's brains to find a clue ?
The same version works just fine on my i9300 on 4.1.2...
I have seen this issue is related to hd screens...

I had the same black screen problem when using the report feature. I finally figured out what was causing the problem on my phone. I am using a rooted S4 with multi window manager. The problem occurs when I enable Waze for multi window mode. When disabled, Waze works perfectly.

I'm at a loss of how to describe this annoying feature, but I believe it's multi-window.
Today is my 2nd day with my Nook HD+, I had no problem putting on CM 10.1.2, Thanks leapinlar, bokbokan, and everyone else!
I received a notification of an update (CM 10.1.3), without thinking I installed that. After rebooting, everything was fine, until I explored the features TOO MUCH. In the notification pull down, I saw a speech bubble icon for a feature so I clicked it. Now I have a light blue "bubble" or dot that stays on top of all other apps. The dot shows everything from the notification area, and if selected will open a scaled down version of the app that "floats" on top of whatever other app is open. I can't find out how to deactivate this feature, nor do I know what it might be called. I've had to do a re-install of CM 10.1.2, but this feature stayed activated.
This is an old problem, but the causes are so plenty it's a doozy. So here's yet ANOTHER cause of "can't click (Install)" button and its solution.
Any way, just updated to SlimKat. And no, I did NOT have official JB installed before, just official ICS, Safestrap, and had been running on CM10 ever since. But that's not the important issue.
Tried to reinstall some APKs, like Amazon store, some Xposed modules... Except none of them will let me click the INSTALL. And yes, 3rd party apps install is active, and I even turned off verify apps.
All of the previous advice I can find says look for screen filter or brightness apps or overlay buttons. I checked. Ain't got any that's active.
I was using PermissionDog to check anything that uses an overlay and uninstall them one by one, when something hit me (not literally). All of these are overlays of some sort. What overlay did I add recently? Then I looked at my screen, then slapped my forehead... hard.
I had enabled "battery bar" that comes with BatteryMix. This optional bar shows you a horizontal 2 px high bar on the very top that shows you your battery level. That is an overlay!
I turned that off, and voila, I can install APKs again. So let that be a lesson to you.
Hi,
I'm using CM10.2.1 on my ovation device and have noticed a significant slowdown/lag when rearranging (moving) app-icons on the home screen.
It depends on the number of icons that are displayed on the current page - when there are many icons, the slowdown is horrible.
My grid size is 8 rows x 5 columns.
If I check "Hide icon labels (Hide homescreen icon labels)" (Personalization->Home Screen->General), rearranging app-icons is very smooth with no slowdowns. So it has something to do with the label rendering?
What can I do to avoid the slowdowns without having to learn the app-icons by heart.
Have you tried enabling force gpu acceleration in developers options?

Yes, I tried that already. It makes no difference. If I enable "Show GPU overdraw", the icon labels are marked light red to red - no matter wether "force gpu rendering" is checked or not.
I also tried "Disable HW overlays" - this has no effect.
How many icons are needed for this to appear? I can add that many and see if I see the same thing.

With 6 Icons on one page, the difference is quite obvious.
If you add more icons, it will get worse. If you fill a 5 x 8 screen with icons, it's a real pain.
Strange my home screen has 20 things move around like butter

You'll probably find that its one (or more) app that's not playing nicely. I'd start by removing them one at a time until it reveals itself.
Just did a full wipe and clean install. Skipped everything possible - no wifi configured, no Google account, no restore from Google.
Then dragged some icons on home screen. Moving them around is now much better, but not as perfect as with icon labels switched off!
After that, I verified the grid size in the Trebuchet preferences - changed nothing, returned to home screen. Now some of the icons are not visible any more and some of them are outside the screen area.
I've got no idea what's going on here... Trebuchet perhaps is mixing up colums and lines sizes of the homescreen grid?
All I can think of to suggest at this point is:
Make certain your chosen CWM10.2 downloaed properly (or do it again).
Make certain you have the correct GApps package.
Make certain you installedd them with the correct version of CWM.
I'm assuming you followed the Guide for Dummies. It's pretty idiot resistant. After I create the bootable SD, I like to install just the EMMC version of CWM followed by the ROM. Then let the Nook boot all the way through. Go into settings and enable boot options, reboot into recovery and then install GApps. Reboot again, connect to WiFi and let everything update.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest starting over from a fresh install of the stock ROM.
Went back to stock ROM without problems.
Reset to factory defaults.
Downloaded cm-10.2.1-ovation.zip again. No file differences found. Flashed it via CWM v6.0.2.8 for HD+ (Stock)
Flashed gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip.
The problem is still present.

Don't know what else to say. I just (literally) went from stock to 10.1, then to 10.2, then to 11 (which I'm on now). I would rather pack the stuff I use on one screen than flip back and forth between screens. I keep it full with widgets, shortcuts, and quick-launchers. No problems like yours.
When you say, "Reset to factory defaults." you mean you flashed it back to the stock firmware?
Yes, I did a full wipe and flashed back to stock ROM - to start over from scratch.
Then I flashed CM 10.2.1 as described... and the problem is back.
Now I'm trying CM11 (M6) which does not show this particular problem (everything moves smoothly), but it has some nasty bugs. Reading a book in "Google Books" often causes a crash and the Nook reboots. The notification bar crashes sometimes when I pull it down. Sound is strange in King.com games (Candy Crush etc.)...
FWIW - You're in good company. My most used app is Kindle (Ironic, aint it?). I get random reboots with every ROM I've tried. Some are much worse than others.
This happens for me on Lollipop/MM ROMs on Chrome Dev. Not sure what kind of setting is that. But happens only for that app and in any ROM I tested and different versions of the app.
It flashes little red bar on all 4 sides of the screen for a moment, happens when you press new tab and etc etc.
Like its some kind of graphic settings under Developer options, which isn't from there as it happens only with this. As far I believe doesn't happen with normal Chrome version.
It's not that frequent (except in few times when you 1st install the app I suppose)
Wasn't sure where to ask this, so asking here in case anybody else has this issue too. I like using Dev version that's why.
