How to flash from the "red-green-blue" screen?

Please, anyone, how can I flash my wizard from the bootloader screen?. All the procedures around explain flashing with ROMUpdateUtility, but none from the bootloader screen ... Do I have a brick????
Please, help and thank you in advance !!!

It works just the same. The only difference is that the updater doesn't know the version of the ROM installed.
When one starts the updater (RUU) with device running normally the process loads two files called RUUGetInfo.exe and EnterBootLoader.exe . The first gets the OS version currently running and the second sends the phone into the 3 color mode. As you see the updater HAS to work from the bootloader
But i guess the wiki could have told you that... (why bother?)

How to downgrade to wm6.1?

hi guys, i've been using wm6.5 for some times, but i think there's some problem with my x1, and i need to install back to it's original wm6.1 before i take it to the service centre.
could anyone help me on how to downgrade my phone to wm6.1? i appreciate much for sharing some information

I have not tested it myself, but my first suggest would be to use the offical upgrade tool from sony Erricson.
Would be greate if you could tell us if it worked.

download this:http://rapidshare.com/files/238466530/APP_SW_X1i_GENERIC_UK_CDF1215-1832_KOV_R3AA010.exe then 2. rename the image file (normally "ruu_signed.nbh") to Kovsimg.nbh, copy that to the micro-sd, and put that it yr X1
3. Make sure X1 is disconnect to your PC to avoid goes to serial mode (AC power source is OK)
4. Bring x1 to boot-loader mode by turning off the x1 completely. Hold the "volume down" button on the right, and hold the power on button until you see the tri-color screen.
5. Then follow the on-screen instruction

yeah, but when he wants to bring it to the service center he schould restore original spl. so flash an original rom then flash stock spl and then flash again an original rom. that should do the trick.

I am glad that he succeeded and how I may have helped!I put up the original software from a card next first it stock spl and like this perfectly factory state!

[Q] [HELP!] Can't UnRoot/ Change Rom/ Acces Recovery.

Hey guys. I've got a rooted tattoo with a custom rom:
AzusaROM v1.04 - Speed Demon

I get error when im goin in to recovery (pressing home) in the "Vol-Down Start"-thing (where i flashed the ROM). I can't install the UniversalAndroot_1.6.1.apk because there is no file manager in the ROM. And the WiFi Don't Work. Htc Sync don't work so i can't install it that way. ReRooting or Anything don't work, i get "acces denied" when i tryed to Root it again..
Please, someone help? I want to have the original ROM/ a other Cutsom ROM.. :c

Which country/provider do you live in/have? Is it Orange, Vodafone? Is your Tattoo unbranded?
First plug your phone in while switched ON.

You wanna tell me that Azusa f***ed up your USB connection? Last chance:
1. Power your device off
2. Boot into Bootloader mode (I don't know if it was Volume Down + Red button or Home + Red Button). Press and hold Vol Down and then tap Power on button while holding Volume down...
3. When in boot mode, plug in your USB connection and wait until a few drivers are installed.
Then start the RUU image again...and keep the fingers crossed.

I have the same problem. I need install official ROM, because in my rom is not Market and i can´t root it(i think it Rom from Malaysia, because when i change language, there is English (Malaysia)). Nothing doesn´t work for me. I have Error 170, too, and plugin in bootloader doesn´t work.

and then run the HTC WWE not orange or vodafone (english, and french )

I can't make a goldcard with this phone. It say's "Toolbox" whatever i write in CMD. (Im not noob in this) I'l have too use a other Htc Tattoo to make the goldcard.. Or anyone got any idéas? ..

Ok, I solved the problem with the Error 170. I can't post it here (prevent to spam), but search this in click development - [SOLVED] Flashing issues. Error 170 & 171 Win7 and Vista users. This thread help me.
EDIT: But i have another error. It says i haven't got right HTC ROM, i think i need branded rom. But i buy my mobile second hand and i don't know if it is branded and from which operator it is branded. How can i find it out?

Flashing ROM gone wrong, cannot sign in Google

Hello,
I tried flashing this ROM. Something went wrong, not quite remember what - I think it was the verification.
As a result (I had to wipe before installing), my screen got stuck on the G1 screen. I followed these instructions, and installed the linked DREAIMG-RC29.zip. When I rebooted my phone, I was asked to sign in to my Google account, an operation which failed because I'm not on an Internet plan (3G).
I tried installing other ROMs but they all failed for one reason or another - mostly verification issues. I have no idea why, I've rooted my phone and everything.
In any case, I'd like to use a newer version of Android whatsoever, so logging in isn't really the problem (although right now it is because I cannot use the phone).

Sound like you are not rooted yet. You cannot flash custom ROM if you are not rooted. Follow the instruction from the link below and your G1 will be rooted flashed with your custom ROM:

It shows the red-green-blue-white screen, then turns grey, "Checking" => "Not allow" and then back to the red-green-blue-white.
Edit: Well, if I don't do that, I can still install update.zip (step 2). Then I'm stuck in the same problem (can't sign in Google). Tried looking in the "2~By-pass Google sign-in" but I don't really understand what's going on; how to get that ADB and what do I do then?

It was bought in China but I think it's German (the keyboard is Qwartz, I have ß over the s etc.).

Thanks for the find but I'm afraid it doesn't work either :\
It gets stuck at the "Click "Get SD Card Serial from WINCE Device"" step, the program just stops working. :\

Well, I think I've made some progress, realizing that one of the steps I've done trying to fix the pgone must have unrooted it. I couldn't find a way to root it back as I cannot bypass the log in phase. Can anybody please help me with that?

Yes, when you did that you just unrooted your G1.

When I power it via fastboot, I get the rgb screen, then grey, and it goes "Loading..." => "Checking..." => "Not allow". What does it mean?

You are starting up your phone in "flash-mode" (power + cam) and you have a *.nbh file on your SD-card -> flashing of this nbh file is started when powering up the phone, but ... you do not have a goldcard or a wrongly signed *.nbh file, so flashing is interrupted.
You need a Goldcard to flash a different ROM on your phone when you are not rooted resp. do not have a SPL on your phone which accepts ROMs signed with test keys.

Could you please explain a bit further on? I don't know what a Goldcard is and can't find a good answer online.

That looks more like a hardware failure than a soft one. Take it to a repair shop and have it tested.

HTC HD7 need to be flashed
my HD7 is down, when I start it, it just succed to reach the green HTC logo it seem that all have been Erase, I took a look on internet and it seem that it is possible to flash it back to initial factory status. (need some RUU****** files) I am not a developper, just try to find the name and location of right files (to download) to "wake up" my smartphone.
