I help my brik x8 Ginger root with Roma Dx installed v013 and cercovo to install filter net with this tread: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1184907&highlight=iptables 2Fnetfilter% + support) .
Can anyone help me? thanks
If you can boot in xRecovery, try making a full wipe. If that fails, restore a backup. If you can't boot in xRecovery, reinstall stock with SEUS.
LOL (help me brick my X8)
Edit: Did you flash the zip in xRec? That's not a flashable zip, it just contains some files.

Unfortunately does not go into recovery mode with the `physical buttons so I can not make them do anything.
That leaves you no choice but to use SEUS

I've installed GingerDX in PhoneMemory, so i already got multiboot.
Then I've applied the zip file from Multiboot-Thread to install the newer version of CWM to have working Multiboot (which worket perfectly before on other roms).
Now i can access CWM but cannot accass XRecovery.
Does anyone face the same problem?
Flash this attached file in CWM and then flash dualrecovery.zip from multiboot thread in xrecovery to get CWM running with xrec.
Let me know if it works for you, its what i had to do when i had the same problem.
this just restores xrecovery, means CWM is gone then
Just flash dualrecovery.zip from multiboot thread in xrecovery and you will have both xrecovery and cwm

Repair your phone with pc companion then root again. This info is easy to find, you should search before posting questions.

Hi. I've Xperia X8 : Rooted, downloaded rom (miniCM7 2.0.7) and all this in CWM.
I tried to install GingerDX but you know GingerDX need xRecovery not CWM so i searched to install xRecovery then I found this apk app( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128854 ) i installed it and installed xRecovery and everything ok BUT when i rebooted my phone my phone stuck in the Boot screen (Sony Ericsson) and nothing new! HELPP PLEASEthxxxx all
Umm, maybe you can try repairing with PCC or SEUS.
Can you still get to xrecovery?
If yes, you can restore a backup with it.
If not, then flash the stock ROM again with Flashtool/SEUS/PCC
And the next time you want to install GingerDx, install the Dual Mode Recovery, it´s very easy, just search for it.
mmm
Well, i wanted xRecovery, but now im scared i want to find a good tutorial on the forum but i dont know, can someone recommend me one that is good for my xperia x8

Heya!
I've a question. THat if i unlock my boot loader, and flash a new kernel, will i need to reinstall my current rom, or its not important?
It is depending on the fact that your current rom is compatible with the kernel or not?
Gingerdx-->Alfs or ldx
minicm7.2-->naA kernel.
Hope this will help ...

Just a suggestion: unlock bootloader after restoring phone with seus to base 2.1, so there will be far less (or none) problem through the procedure.

One question, the recommended step if i want to flash custom kernel n rom is:
-flash kernel first,then rom
Or
-flash rom,then kernel..?
Sent from my E15 using xda premium
First flash kernel. I think you can do the opposite, but flashing kernel first is the best solution.

i read that after unlocking bootloader, the xrecovery no longer works. so if i flash back my phone to 2.1, if i root and install xrecovery, will the xrecovery works..? or i must install CWM instead..?
and what i must do if i want to flash a ROM that need to be flash with xrecovery..?
Install the Dual-Mode recovery with x8Toolbox, that'll give you xRecovery AND CWM.

Használd a SEUS-t inkább. Ott kiválasztod, hogy X8-ad van, és ráflasheli az E15 firmware-jét, utána szerintem menni fog.

Use SEUS instead of PCC. There you can chose that you've got X8, then it will flash E15 firmware, then I think it will work.
Köszi szèpen! / thx

download stock .ftf file and flash it...guess with what....flashtool
for gingerdx you need cwm and not xrecovery.
and as mentioned above you can find those answers easily.

Edit. I Took My backup from sdcard to My pc. returned to stock and restored it. Solved.
Hi Guys,
I have my x8 phone running on nAa's latest v6 kernel with ZenceFil ROM(GB 2.3.7) with ofcourse an un-locked bootloader. But now i want to move back to stock settings.
I had made a backup using xRecovery before installing these mods, so my question is, how to I restore that xRecovery backup along with the stock kernel which i already got from the unlock bootloader thread??
I tried flashing the stock kernel but then the phone just get's stuck in the boot logo page with Sony Ericsson logo, can't even open the recovery, which i guess is not included in the stock kernel file.
I tried installing xRecovery by copying its files to /system/bin but still i have CWM as recovery!
Please advise...
p.s. I saw this thread, but the solution provided there is not working for me as PCC is not helping, it juts say's no s/w found for your device. Also I don't want to lock the boot loader.
Flash stock 2.1 trough flash tool>root it>instal xrecovery and then restore backup.

I have downloaded the stock 2.1 rom but how do i flash a ROM using flash tool? I don't see that option..
Flash it like kernel.
Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 4
NAA6 is using difrent system-data partition size. If you want to move to other kernel you need first boot into cwm and format data and system partitions, then flash other kernels.
You can also flash your phone with SEUS and you will have stock rom-kernel like you had when you bouth the phone (if your bootloader was unlocked SEUS will leave it unlocked).
Stock rom and kernel you can flash using Flash Tool, just move the ftf file (for exemple 2.1.1.C.0.0.ftf) move this to the FIRMWARE flashtool' folder. Open flash tool and click on the "lightning" icon, (on old version click on flash) and select flash mode. Turn off the phone and flash it like a normal kernel.
But the stock rom that i downloaded has no ftf file! It's a normal backup have 4 .img files.. how do i flash that?

You could use SEUS. It will install the newest firmware for x8 and it won't relock bootloader (for me it don't relock it), but you have to root your phone and install xrecovery one more time.
