download stock .ftf file and flash it...guess with what....flashtool
for gingerdx you need cwm and not xrecovery.
and as mentioned above you can find those answers easily.
:/

If you can boot in xRecovery, try making a full wipe. If that fails, restore a backup. If you can't boot in xRecovery, reinstall stock with SEUS.
LOL (help me brick my X8)
Edit: Did you flash the zip in xRec? That's not a flashable zip, it just contains some files.

Unfortunately does not go into recovery mode with the `physical buttons so I can not make them do anything.
That leaves you no choice but to use SEUS

Hi. I've Xperia X8 : Rooted, downloaded rom (miniCM7 2.0.7) and all this in CWM.
I tried to install GingerDX but you know GingerDX need xRecovery not CWM so i searched to install xRecovery then I found this apk app( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128854 ) i installed it and installed xRecovery and everything ok BUT when i rebooted my phone my phone stuck in the Boot screen (Sony Ericsson) and nothing new! HELPP PLEASEthxxxx all
Umm, maybe you can try repairing with PCC or SEUS.
Can you still get to xrecovery?
If yes, you can restore a backup with it.
If not, then flash the stock ROM again with Flashtool/SEUS/PCC
And the next time you want to install GingerDx, install the Dual Mode Recovery, it´s very easy, just search for it.
mmm
Well, i wanted xRecovery, but now im scared i want to find a good tutorial on the forum but i dont know, can someone recommend me one that is good for my xperia x8

I know you're problem! Some roms will disable recovery (for example: ICS for stock)
To fix this, Download X8Toolbox:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100
You will need to have the drivers for your X8 Phone (download on sony's website)
You can install them through device manger!
Now open x8 toolbox, and install a recovery. You can choose
Good luck! after the installation your phone should be able to go to recovery!
I'm new to XDA!
Please press the "thanks" button if i helped!
it really helped

I think you are confused...
Take it from the start, its not necessary that you have brick when you install custom rom with stock kernel. If you have stock kernel you will search for roms which are for stock kernel..as simple as that...if you want to install custom kernel you have to unlock bootloader which is very risky and can't be done to all x8. If you want to check it take off your battery, there will be a code on your phone( no the one on battery) if it is under 11w29 then congrats you are from the lucky one that can unlock bootloader.
*stock kernel mean the original kernel that the phone have when you buy it

maybe you flash wrong kerne dude!
maybe you can try this :
flash downgrade ftf..like x8 generic and you got your phone on 2.1
then root, unlock bootloader..
ow yeah, you can install recovery from Flash tool..
next
flash ics kernel, backup
factory reset, flash ROM
Thanks for your quick reply...
how can I root, unlock bootloader install recovery from Flash tool factory reset, flash ROM... etc.. since now I can't get into ClockworkMod Recovery mode when I press the Back button before Sony Ericsson logo during boot up????
Before you flash into ics, what rom you're using?
maybe you can flash it first .
Or
Like I say..flash the x8 generic..so you downgrade your phone
After that you can to root etc

Hi...
I've read your link, but.. I still can't understand how to copy files into "system/bin and system/xbin" since I can't get into "ClockworkMod Recovery" when I boot up the phone, pls help step by step if is possible... thanks~~~
Have you succeeded in unlocking you're bootloader.. if yes..
you can try flashing the kernel again..
I would recommend iscreemdx with alfs kernel..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672477
If you haven't unlocked you're bootloader then flash back the stock rom using .Ftf file of our x8/w8 stock rom here
http://sony-w8.blogspot.com/2012/05/release200412-flashable-file-for-w8e16i.html?m=1
Hit tanx if it helps..
By the walking Walkman..
okay...
if you're still confuse, downgrade your phone!
its last option
downgrade into 2.1 - download this file from files crop X8 E15i 2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf
root your phone by flash tool..
then install xrecovery by clicking cross icon on flashtool
OR
download this file (password=cintaindonesia) and extract in your SDcard
after that copy paste three files(busybox, chargemon, xrecovery.tar) in system\bin
and you will get xrecovery
after that
unlock bootloader using flashtool OR s1tool
Flash the latest ICS kernel
backup
factory reset, wipe data, etc
Flash ROM
done!
here my Video tutorial..but I'm sorry cz I made it with Indonesian language
