my phone got a little bit wet it was in my pocket when a little kid threw a cup of water at me it didnt get soaked my shirt was big enough to cover my phcket but as i took my phone out of my pocket my phonerestarted a few times and wouldnt start for a while then worked fine but with no service unknown baseband, min, phone number, prl version, meid, network, mobile network type signal stregnth= 0dBm 0 asu, service state= out of service, mobile network state= disconnected, bluetooth and wifi mac address unavailable.
i rooted to froyo 2.2 and installed flash it worrked fine but still no signal and when i tried to dial any number it says mobile network not available. i tried returning to stock but could not get rid of super user app and my bpimage is corrupt i need a guide on how to flash all these things please anyone help me
Try reflashing back to stock using RSDLite, also, are you sure you didn't just need to reactivate your phone?
i am stock 2.0.1 but i cannot git rid of superuser app and i cannt dial 228 it wont even attempt to call it gives me an error message and closes its a little box and it says not registered on network
hi had a search around but unable to find anyone who has had the same issue
unlocked sgs from UK t mobile to use vodafone sim.
all was ok till i changed the setting to stop 3g to improve battery life, sgs went to no phone signal (blue circle with line through it on top bar). put 3g useage back on but still no signal
had a look at my phone/status:
network = vodafone uk
service state = out of service
mobile network state = disconnected
if i set network automatically it says 'registered on network'
if i select vodafone from list i get 'your sim card does not allow connection to this network'
i have hard reset the phone, locked it and unlocked again, but still the same
also tried with o2 sim and get the same problem
== t-mobile sim still works==
is there a solution out there?
Try to manually create another APN
EDIT: my bad...you meant no phone signal. I have no clue but hope that you'll get the help that you need.
what needs to be entered in the fields?
i've had this happen on two phones..........one was due to me messing up the nv_data files. the other was fixed by reflashing.
take your pick
i haven't had the phone flashed
i only used ADB to get the Network Control Key which i then use to unlock the phone
can you suggest the next step for me
i assume the professional unlockers use a flashing method, should i get it unlocked by one of them?
its possible the imei has been blocked
if blocked tmobile customer service said that i should hear 3 beeps when i try to make a call, but i get a message that 'not registered on the network'
could it still be blocked even though i do not get the 3 beeps?
if it is not blocked is there anyway i can get this working on a vodafone sim?
I posted in the Bionic on T-Mobil thread but I thought it would be more appropriate to post here since I am trying to connect to Globe Telecom.
I finally was able to unlock the GSM signal on my Droid Bionic.
Currently I am in the Philippines but my Bionic doesn't seem to get a strong signal over 1x through Globe Telecom (Pre-paid).
I tried adding the APN for GPRS and MMS but still no luck. I am not even sure if the APN settings I am using are correct because I've tried many different ones. Can someone give me the correct APN I need for GPRS and MMS?
I cannot receive or send text messages or connect to 3G network
How can I get my Bionic to work completely? I am sick of using my aunts Nokia from the 90s. haha.
When I go into *#*#4636#*#* and look at Phone info it states the following:

If you can figure it out let me know. I'm looking for the settings to be able to use my Bionic on Straight Talk.

Hi Everyone,
New One owner here.. after just a couple of days use.. I tried to charge it with the charger in my car (unofficial but had no problems with it with DHD). Since I plug out GSM radio doesn't work. I believe the GSM radio died right after the charge. I tried reinserting SIM, trying a different SIM, reboot and hard reset but no luck.
Did anyone has similar problem any solution suggestions?
I can do emergency calls btw
(sorry cant attach screenshots)
Currently my Settings->About->Network shows:
Operator Name: Unknown
Signal strength: 0
Mobile Netw. Type: Unknown
Service State: Out of Service
Roaming: Not roaming
Thanks much

Did you try factory reset?
Hi - I'm a semi-noob with this phone and Android in general (long-time iPhone JB'er finally saw the light), so sorry for any ignorance/stupidity in what follows...
HTC One, on T-Mobile
Android 4.3 SW# 3.24.531.3
Baseband vsn: 4A.21.3263.03_10.38m.1157.04L
Rooted, Unlocked, S-OFF
I was traveling on St Martin (French Caribbean) where T-Mobile gives free data roaming, so I turned on roaming and everything was fine - cell service, cell data, wifi all clearly working properly. After several days, I noticed no cell service or 3G indicator, but my wife's T-Mobile iPhone had full bars and 3G service. I waited a while, and (I *believe*) data & cell service came back on once for a while, but then failed again and have not returned to health since then (it's been about a week). Wifi works fine. When I tried to find a signal I would get "Error Searching for Networks". I thought maybe it had to do with roaming, but when I returned home (USA) I still had no cell signal/data.
I've tried rebooting, turning Data roaming on and off, Airplane mode on and off, all choices of Network mode, power off for a long time while charging, a couple other more obscure suggestions that I can't remember. I have not tried reverting to Stock or flashing a radio.
In poking around in settings:
IMEI: [normal] (this is different from several other people reporting similar problems)
Network Mode: GSM / WCDMA / LTE Auto
Operator: Unknown
Signal Strength: 0
Mobile network type: Unknown
Service State: Radio Off
Roaming: Not roaming
I've seen several posts here and on Android Forums with similar problems, but never quite a match - always a different phone and/or they are now missing their IMEI, which is not true for me and seems significant.
I never dropped the phone in water or anything, but I was traveling and it's possible it got more humidity than normal (one thread suggested water damage as a likely culprit).
Is there anything for me to do before (A) flashing a radio, (B) returning it to stock, (C) taking it to T-Mobile and hoping they'll fix it (still under warranty)? I haven't flashed a radio before, but it sounds like it's straightforward - if you have any suggestions, let me know.
I have an OTA update available to 4.4.2 - is it likely that would help me? And if I do that how much damage control will I have to do to get back to rooted/unlocked/S-OFF status?
Someone with a different phone said they removed their battery for a couple of hours and all was fine, but I'm scared to try to remove my battery, especially if I might have to take it for warranty repair.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide, and let me know if I should post any more info...

Have you tried to switch on radio manually? Dial *#*#4636#*#* ---> phone info ---> there is a switch to turn on/off radio

OTA update won't affect bootloader (unlocked and S-OFF). You might loose root but you can re-root after the update. Don't forget you need stock recovery to update. If you are going to send your phone for repair, you'll have to S-ON, remove tampered flag and Lock (no re-lock) the bootloader or your warranty will be invalid. You can only s-on on hboot 1.44 or 1.54 so you'll have to downgrade first.

Do not attempt to remove the battery yourself on the M7, bad idea if you are planning to send the phone under warranty.

Oh my freaking gawd, thank you. It actually didn't work at first - the button just read "turn off radio" (as if it was currently on), and tapping it didn't seem to cause any change. Kind of on a whim, I changed "preferred network type" from "WCDMA preferred" to "LTE Only", went out to settings to see if anything had changed, turned off WiFi, came back to the phone info page, clicked "turn radio off" again, and then I noticed that numbers on the screen were moving, and I had 4G/LTE and full bars again. I've switched back to "WCDMA preferred" and everything seems fine, but I don't know whether that's the right choice out of a long list of options - it's just what was there to start with.
I feel silly that it was so simple, but I didn't know about that testing screen. Thanks a ton.
