Moment of Silence.

Let's all have a moment of silence for my teammate and close friend who was recently injured at practice today.
We were doing some Oklahoma's and he traded places with me in line, went up agains some kid, and landed on the ground with his leg sticking up in an uncorrect angle. Had to call the ambulance and everything.
I didn't like this kid at first, but lately, he's been really cool and we got pretty close, and I will miss him for the rest of the season.

That sucks. And I bet it hurts.

My highschool is best in the State (Washington) for football, state champions 3 years in a row, 4 Peat coming up

Thank God he's alright. It looked so bad but he only broke three bones. Well, maybe I should take out the only, but I'm just glad he'll be okay.

that does suck. Broke a kid's leg once in middle school football. I hit him low from one side, while another defender hit him high from the other. Tib/fib fracture. Only time I felt bad for hitting someone...

Nah, it wouldn't be right, I've got quite a strong stomach but some of them make me weazy, and wouldn't want others that don't to open up to them and throw up on their keyboard.

Or busy doing nothing, obesity should be a main characteristic of the fabled geek...yet it's been pretty clear to me that a lot of geeks I know are skinny, I have no clue why (I am included in the skinny statistic)

I noticed, I gained 20 pounds in the last 3/4ths of the year.

Best food for geeks:
1. Anything that I can eat in front of the monitor/keyboard
2. Something that is easy to clean off said monitor/keyboard
3. Something sweet and diabetic-coma inducing to wash it down

So a shadowrun themed cookbook with wyvern tail and spectral chips? I am a geek/cook so I can cook 18 hours in a day while going on my nexus one

Ok. Im king of the hill. How are you going to become king and what are you going to do to remain there?
To start i have put up a 10ft wall surrounding myself.

The poking from the guns and shooting of swords was not very effective so i was able to re-group. During my time away i learnt some ninjitsu which has enabled me to sneak in unseen and dispatch you. The hill is mine.

While on my exile I found a new KungFu master (he has nice phone he can oc it to 2ghz) and learned how to defeat a ninjitsu Guy with a toothpick and I came I saw and I conquered. The hill is mine again.

i move a small band of rebels close to the hill, you scramble your helicopters which attack the wrong people.. something to do with the communication devices you were using not being compatible (probably made by apple?). the friendly fire incident leaves your troops in utter chaos allowing my small band of rebels to walk in and take the hill like candy from a baby.

You guys are crazy with all these complicated methods. Things are soo much simplier and easier......................just call Chuck Norris

Poor boy steps in a mound of fire ants. While spitting bolts of raid and burning them with the magnifying glass held in his third arm, I simply walk by the over zealous Chuck and take my place under a tree with a cup of coffee, my nook, and a spliff. Waiting for next charge I find peace.

[Q] shaved ice machine

so i'm about to go back to school and i figured i'd pose this question here? I want to find a machine that makes shaved ice for drinks. not like a snow cone machine, but the ones like they have at some restaurants? I know someone here with all the genius minds that make my phone awesome must have come across one in there time?

Need Help Naming My Puppy

So my girlfriend bought a chocolate lab (it's a girl) and we're having trouble naming it. She wants something typical like shadow or ember and I was looking for something a little more unique.
I can't think of anything, anyone have any fun, unique dog name suggestions?

A buddy has working dogs (g.shepherd & border collie) & always advised me to use single syllable names for easier command training.
I've always had g.sheps & my last was named Belle. The missus always had labs (black, tho') and her only girl was called Gem.
If you really want a longer name and in keeping with the chocolate theme.. how about Button?
Just remember, you must be comfortable calling the name in a public place... so choose wisely and enjoy having your new companion around.

Thank you for the response The one-syllable name is definitely the theme of my ideas now as that is a very good point.

Deefer Dog is pure win lmao. I suggested that and was vehemently shot down. It's pretty much been narrowed down to April (after the month we got her and it's the tv reported from the ninja turtles) and Artemis (since my brother actually has a yellow lab named apollo, it works)

It's all about what the neighbors hear you yelling late at night for the dogs to come inside.

unless this pup is of the same litter as Apollo it's a tenuous link, but you could also follow this theme & use a different Olympian.. Hera, maybe

Lol, I think we're going to go with Evie. It's nice and short, not too common and girlie enough to not sound stupid (one suggestion we found on line was, no lie, fabulicious (ugh).
