Hi, I have a rooted galaxy tab. I recently just installed a custom rom and after, it doesn't boot anymore? It only stucks at the boot screen. May I know what's the issue here? Is it a brick or something? Any helps appreciated. Tks!
it sounds like a soft brick, which isn't too bad at all Just switch your tab over to Download Mode and then flash another ROM that is confirmed working on your device.
A hard brick would be if your tab didn't power on in any way at all no matter what, and that would be pretty bad :/
Hi, tks for ur reply! Do u mind telling me where to download those roms? Tks once again!

Hi! I managed to get my rom on samfirmware.com and even flashed it via odin. But one thing, it managed to go the boot screen but then it doesn't move at the "samsung" glowing screen after that. Did I do anything wrong?
Your best bet will be to restock according to Overcome method.

You need dbdata.rfs

You may have a corrupted /dbdata. If that's true, no matter how many new ROMs or firmwares you install, it won't help you.
This should take care of your problem:

Hi! Tks for your advice. I just read through the restocking steps on the teamovercome.net. But I've got a question. Is it compulsory to actually install the overcome kernel and rom?

I installed overcome kernel with many other rom before moving to redpill (because of bluetooth keyboard compatibility). It works great with most of rom 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 base. Don't hesitate to try the kernel with other rom.
Btw, did you try pushing new pit file through odin?

Last we heard, CyanogenMod 9's interaction with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 line was limited to the variants shackled either to T-Mobile or to WiFi. However, the CM team has been hard at work, and as of yesterday, the following three editions of the 10-inch tablet have been granted access to the CM nightly kingdom: Verizon's Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SCH-I905)
Unlocked WiFi + 3G Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500)
Galaxy Tab 10.1v (GT-P7100)

So it begins...
I think we can't be more grateful to pershoot (and also isi, seo and the others 10.1v dev) to make it possible. Without them, we could only have dreamed to see our tab updated at all. Now we'll have almost daily updates...

No. I think it's based on isi and pershoot work, so the only changes probably will be more CM9 settings
I wonder if any of these are any more stable than the latest from the usual sources that pershoot has been giving us so far. I know it's based on his and Isi's work so I am just wondering

The file can't be flashed with odin.
It has to be flashed through cwm, but first you have to unlock your bootloader and aquire root.
Unlock your bootloader with this tut.

Hi guys, I just wanna ask about Rom Toolbox and ROM Manager.
° Is it safe to install Rom toolbox to our SG Mini?
° What are the risks, since it has Rom manager included in it?
° Why is it not safe to install Rom manager for our Mini?
° What are the risks?
° What would happen if I install or do any changes using it?
I think that would be all.
Thanks

1. It is safe if u just install ROM manager, but don't flash CWM using Rom Manager.
2. Whats the risk? It'll brick your phone.
3. Just by installing it, you will do no harm. But by flashing cwm using rom manager, you have a 99.9% chance of bricking your phone. By using it to flash roms doesn't brick your phone i think, not really sure.

Hello forum users
can anyone share a recent lag fix for my i9000 please?
i rooted my device and i have got Busybox 1.17.1
kindly regards,

Hey,
First update your busybox, and if you doesn't matter, I would recommend you to change to a custom Rom. I'm from the i9001 but I'm sure that in the development forum of the s1 are a lot of tweaks for GB. If not look into the i9001 forum

For my experience, stock ROM sucks and always lag. Ever since I updated mine to Supernexus 2.0 M1 ROM, my phone is just as stable as Nexus 4.
No joke. Do it to believe. If you don't wanna do, then hard reset your phone and format the entire drive. Should be pack with a lot temp files and caches.

Dear all,
I'm planning to flash CM 11 ROM by Mclaw in the near future. Since Mclaw recommended flashing using TWRP, I have to replace CWM on my stock rooted SGS3 mini. I've searched entire therads for this topic, some said I had to flash TWRP through fastboot (what is fastboot anyway?), and some said that just flashed TWRP using CWM. It will replace CWM with TWRP. All of those methods are meant to be for different device.
Anyone can confirm one of those methods for SGS3 mini? Or is there another method that noob friendly? I'm just too newbie and afraid to bricking my phone. Thanks.
You don't necessarily need TWRP. I can successfully flash that with CWM.

I'm serious. You can just flash it using CWM without problems. The methods and results are practically the same.
Anyway, the easiest way to flash a new recovery is by using ROM Manager from the Play Store.

Hi guys.
I flashed one recovery using another recovery *dozens* of times on other devices (mostly on the galaxy gio) and now I flashed Maclaw's TWRP using CWM on an I8190n and everything is working perfectly.
