I got my hands on the Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 game & just went crazy about it.....
So, I spend a couple of hours and made a Boot Animation & just thought to share it with you to get the real Game Feel.....

This boot animation has a comparatively longer period. So if you are in cm7 or miui, you can experience only a portion of it. Best viewed in Sense Roms.
Now added the background music, so it's much better now.......If you are using any Virtuous Roms (including the latest), use the sense 3.0 version.
Download the Version based on your Rom
Sense 3.0 based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
Sense 3.5 based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
CynogenMod based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
The MIUI version is here. Use this link. This is a .mtz file so just run it, it will do the rest.
Make sure you have you have sufficient space in /system folder, before you start with the procedure.
Procedure to install via CWM Recovery
1. Download the Flashable zip file from the above list.
2. Do a Nandroid Backup.
3. Reboot into Recovery & Flash the zip.
4. Now reboot & enjoy........

How do you make something like this? Totally need a BF3 boot animation now.

This is great for all the Call of Duty people, they also released a market app of Call of Duty ELITE, so people can check that out too.

For those who couldn't get it working, I had it going on Nik Trinity rom and now on ARHD. Copy the htc_bootanimation.zip and android_audio.mp3 files from the Zip and paste them to data/local on your phone (not the sdcard) using something like root explorer. on Nik Trinity it must be named htc_bootanimation.zip, on ARHD it is just bootanimation.zip. I suggest renaming the existing one to origbootanimation.zip or something so if it doesn't work you can return it to normal afterwards. Reboot and you should be golden. Flashing the Zip did nothing for mine either but this way worked fine.

[Themed Rom][Darkstar Open Eclair 1.2.2][2/25/10]

Hey all, I did the best I could to get this to Darkstar on open eclair 1.2.1 baconweave.
This is a full rom so you will need to do a full wipe before flashing.
I did not build this rom so thanks to the open eclair team for an excellent 2.1 rom and I would also like to thanks to all the brilliant design minds that created Darkstar. It is by far my favorite theme. That is why I did this. I can only hope they will create a real theme for open eclair releases.

Have at it. This was only my second time messing with themes so I did the best I could with the limited knowledge I have. I just finished with the framework-res.apk, the services.jar and the launcher.apk for 1.2.2

yo dude change your default launcher to regular and your phone will speed up 300%.
Not kidding, that thing is a RAM HOG

Dude wud that matter much since the gl drivers have been updated to the point the entire thing wud be faster and once 1.2.3 comes out that wud be way faster wudnt it plus I've taskilled launcher 2 and restarted and everything is fine not like its a loading screen on a sense rom anyway

Lately I have been working with the Cronos Droid roms and themes but in the recent turn of events I wanted to contribute to the entire Hero community. So here is a new android boot animations which I think might be one of my best!
I will also try to specify the bootanimation.zip location on each rom but help is much appreciated.

Now I have replaced the update script, it deletes all the likely locations and types of the boot animation, even the boot animation which is located in /system/customize/resource.
Location for zip is /system/media

Of course,and I will change the update script so that it removes all the old installs of boot animations independent placement of rom when I get home tonight.

Nice work!! this will make the constant rebooting of my phone worth it

NOTE:Flash zips installs to system/media

I originally had it chrome but wanted a bit of colour, I think it looks better as a juicy red apple.

I only want the "eat apple" in WVGA (or FWVGA for my X10). How to do? The first pack contains pacman as well, and I can not change the zip to have only the "eat apple". The second pack contains "eat apple" but only in HVGA

Added, second animation only for QVGA and WVGA.

i cant seem to get it to work, cleared everything and flashed in recovery and nothing really like this and have been trying to get it up and running.
have trird flashing from recovery,adb push,astro. anyone know another way not listed. thx

How to accelerate the second animation WVGA? It's too slow. I wan't it as fast as the HVGA version (15fps). Is it possible? How to do?

can get other ones to load up that i got off of the warm 2.2 update page any way you can take a look and see if there is some difference that will allow me to use this one. thx tried every other way that people have said to use.

I'm guessing its installing to the wrong directory.
These install to system>media
I think evo needs to be customize>resource??
I'll have a look when I get home if you haven't solved it already.

I know that this was posted before; maybe a 100 times but hey i just made some custom rings for sense 3 HD2 Roms and thought i would share them here!
This thread will be updated with new custom Rings every week!
Of course you can tell me what Ring you want; and i will create one custom for you guys [ex. " i want a Ring with VW logo" No problem!!!! ]
You can also post a picture/logo here and i will make it for you.
When you want a custom Ring request please let me know what HD2 you have [EU OR Tmobile]
Now let's start with these goodies! Colored Rings as of image above (without the plastic effect)!

Installation:
Copy-paste a color of your choice in your SD Card! (without extracting the contents in the zip files)
Then Reboot and Flash through Recovery.
