Better ROM - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Which is the best ROM for you and why?
btw; my phone is still on the service center being fixed after i bricked it approx. 18 days ago,, they've said ill receive it within 30 days T__T,

CM7.1 from squadzone
really easy to install, fast and customizable

CM7 from tj_Style

I like the continued one by squad, has overclock kernels and is active.
btw, make a poll so we can vote.

cm7 music edition 1v1 fast, stable over 60hours..and nothing freezed... and when you listening music... the quaility and the volume is perfect.. or try emanoN v3 stable, fast. This 2 rom are the best, for me

emanon for me oc kernel, active developer

CM7 by squad is fast..but i did find bugs with my phone(wifi problem)..flash to eManon V3..and the result,...EPIC..eManon V3 is the best so far for me..

higher is better,
but,
still not to look the rom from the quadrant,
as i said,
every rom has his own character,
and more importantly,
the rom should be suite with ur taste,

tnx for the quick reply mate!

i got 2205 on emanon v3 with OC 806..seems pretty good to me..

Cm7 is the best ROM...
Only because of its user friendly customizations

CM 7.2 RC4 !
quadrant benchmark score is 1680 and AnTutu bench is 2085! over clock 782.0
very stable, littel bug ( but better than other custom rom. if you like no bug use Stock rom!)
Flatziki v2 and emnoN.v3 is good. ( i can't use emnoN.v3. NO RTL Support. )

i go for emanon when your talking about performance and smoothness + 2-3 days battery life (tested)
cm7 nahhhh fast batt draining.

CM7/emanoN V3

{Q} How to Overclock I9000 with Cyanogenmod Beta3 ?

Hey how r u guys , hope fine
i overclocked my galaxy to 1.3 when i was using Froyo 2.2
you know , So Zimage V4.4 Kernel , through Odin , and it worked just fine
but that kernel is not working with Cyanogenmod beta3 , i tried HCDR Kernel and it dosent work as well
when i open SETCpu it shows just 1000 , and Voltage control keep telling me that there is no kernel
I really love Cyanogenmod speed even when it beta , i want to see my galaxy fly by when it overclocking
so i need your help guys
With cm cpu scores about 4000 on quadrant, why do you need overclocking? Would you like to see the top of the android mountain? ))

Hummingbird + Optimized CM + High Overclock =/= Highest benchmark scores.
That area is for the Tegra2's and OMAP4400's to scuffle over, not to mention Orion or ST-Ericson.
Btw, the LG Star really makes the Nexus S look like a joke. And that PSPhone had better be an iPhone 4 murderer.
Dual cores, of course, will set a new altitude for the peak, and I'm looking forward to seeing Orion at work ))

[Q] Squad Cm7 RC5.0.1 vs Subpsyke Cm7 RC0

These are 2 of the best Cm7 Builds for our Galaxy Mini
I would like to ask your opinions which among these 2:
1. Subpsyke Cm7 RC0 with hotfixes
or
2. Squadzone Cm7 RC5
Is most commonly used by XDA People
In terms of :
* Stableness
- Less Lag
- Less Bug
- Less Battery Consumption
- Etc.
Please post your comment below...
Thanks.
I use Subpsyke
Cm7 RC0 once and i have some bugs
now i am using Squad Cm7 RC5 and no bugs for the moment so i will stay on Squad RC5
cm7.2.0 rc0 v1.1,
Sent from my GT-S5570 using XDA App
i think squad rc5 is better...
that's only my opinion!!!
Now Im using cm7 by squadz....
But I think cm7 by supbsyke more stable...
Note: actually no need to compare which one is better than another because of this problem sense ...
Beda lidah beda rasa man....
Big thanks 4 all dev's..

Better try both of them yourself.. so you'll experience and get the feel of both roms. Subpsyke's cm7 as he said is pure cm, closest to tjstyle's. Squad's cm7 is modified cm mixed with tablet features. You can also see the difference in the Performance settings. Squad added a lot of tweaks. So, it's up to you..
Sent from my S5570 CM7 RC0 v1.1
Yeah that's true now i use cm7 by Subpsyke but now i want to try cm7 rc 5.1 by Squad
if you have problem with the drain battrey, just set the brightnest to 10%, it's more effective
Which ROM has a better battery life and is more stable? Subspyke' s or Squadzone' s RC 5.2?
Now using Squad' s RC4 but my battery drains very quickly, searching for a ROM that has a better battery live. But I really like CyanogenMod' s very differsent look from stock GB. So I would prefer CyanogenMod over a stock-based ROM
And yes, I know how to save my battery, I always have bluetooth and GPS off. I always set the phone on flight modus when I don't need the phone function. I always turn of WiFi when I don't use it. Always have the CPU underclocked at 480mHz max. And when I don't use the phone (when in standby) I use the "powersave" governor. And still my battery drains very fast! And I also always have brightness of the screen at absolute minimum!

Battery life in my sgm could last about 2 days using squadzone's rc5.2. But i set my network to gsm only, check use 2G networks only, and use this app called Easy Battery Saver. It can be found in the market and its 'super power saving mode' is incredible. Why don't you try it? =)
IMO subspyke's version is far better than squad's - it's more stable, it doesn't cause random issues with WiFi/3G I had on RC5 and it runs far smoothier than RC5.
I got 2292pts in AnTuTu with subspyke's ROM with 787MHz OC

Same for me, can't get past 787
Benchmark scores are similar in both versions, but I got weird problems with switching on and off WiFi and/or 3G. Also setting brightness was a bit buggy for me, so I decided to try subspyke's ROM.
I found it as efficient as squadzone's but without all the weird problems, so I decided to stay with it for the moment

Haha that made me stay with rc0 too.. squad is working very hard though and I can't catch up with his updates.. so I'll just wait once he releases a stable and bugless (or there might still be a few ) rom..

Hmmm.. Then i suggest you to wait for few more days. ICS is coming for us. as soon ics leak comes out , the most waiting CM9 will be ready for us.
Rocket rom is good if you like a speedy themed rom. Checkrom is also another good rom.used both

Clocks and voltage are kernel related.
If you want to oc and uv for yourself go for AbyssNote Kernel from angelom (which an out-dated one is included in the RocketRom from eyebee) since it has a clock frequency set range from 100-1704 MHz and a huge list of governors to choose from. Be careful though your phone can easily getting hot with this kernel by ocing it.
However it seems the franco.kernel is a little bit better for battery and has smoother animations while navigating through your phone with some third party launcher while suffering low fps in some games I've tested. I do not know the voltages for each frequency from franco.kernel. You can't change them either (with apps like voltage control or SetCPU).
cool i was thinking of waiting for the ics roms but i am very impatient and liek to fix things that arent broke
i will read up on some of these roms both speed and check sound like what im looking for
There is alot of good roms and developers here its hard to tell you which one is perfect it realy depends what direction you looking at stability battery life new futures etc... i personaly use Criskelo after long searching i found my perfect one good luck.
My favorites: Cassie's XL, Darky and CheckROM.
I could suggest You to try CheckRom, fast and reliable with Abysskernel 3.8 version 2.
If You want to try, a good rom is also Darkyrom 3.3 with Franciscofranco Kernel n.4 but I find the last one a little bit unstable even if a well developed kernel.
Just my 2 cents
gave in and am now playing with checkromv5 and just installed abysskernel see how these go , and oc'd it to 1600
Been with Rocket ROM since V1 until V22. Just flashed Criskelo 3 days ago and it's working superbly. Battery life is great!
So far, Criskelo rocks!
alpha never dies and abyssnote kernel v4.0 final
well i have no issues that i have noticed not sure on battery life yet if its better than stock or not will need a few days to see how it averages out
what benefits would rocketrom have over checkrom or is it just a personal preferance ?
checkrom v5..

Simplicity Rom vs. Darky Rom?

Which rom is better? Performance wise and battery wise?
Any input is great, even on other roms.
Thanks
Darky is always better in my opinion...!
Its much stable , faster and of-course longer battery life..!
Darky's rom is always the way to go
Indeed, like the person has said above, it's fast, it's stable and the battery is quite good depending on what you do
is darky rom dark night rom

Darkyrom is indeed great. Everything works perfectly, it's fast, stable, and has great battery life.
Haven't tried Simplicity. I tried CM7 though, and felt that Darky's had better battery life and performance. This was about 4 months ago though, things might have changed a bit.
Can some1 post a quadrant benchmark result on darkyrom please?
A very nice ROM which is stable, good performance, with a nice theme. But there is no ICS at this time.
The highest benchmark I ever got with darky 10.4.2 was in the 2800's.

Nice bullsh1t scores, I got 3145 max on stock XXJVS

[Q] [ROMS][Q&A]-Favourite ROM? [TASS/SGM]

What is you fave ROM for Galaxy Mini?
I want to know why, how stable it is and is it overclocked? if so by how much, just basically brag about the rom you are using and what you like about it and what features it has, also what bad points are there about the rom... is it slow to boot? does it crash frequently? can you play games or not?
IT CAN BE DETAILED OR SIMPLE I DONT MIND, BUT PLEASE PUT AN OVERALL MARK OUT OF 10 AT THE END.
Have fun and i will post back replies to questions but i live in UK and work nights so might take a while but will enjoy reading your replies
if you really love your rom, why not post a link?

emanoN V5 8/10
Creed's Rom 6/10
Godell MorE Rom 8/10
CyanMobile A 7/10
MinimodX 7/10

CM9 9/10 ( Not stable otherwise 10/10 LOL)'
creeds rom 8/10
Pure CyanogenMod 7.2 this is my favorite custom rom, and stock rom is a Indian version 2.3.6 DDKQ7
Im using emanoN v5 atm, its rock solid stable at 768mhz (UV kernal) the only thing is im just asking for peoples opinions for curiosity reasons, and just wondering why so many people are going for the cm9, i tried it and i got rid within 4 minutes, i know the guys have been working hard but im gunna wait til maybe stable.... And fast... :/ i give cm9b7 a 5/10, if my house was on fire i wanna call 999 before im dead and it was to laggy to save me lol
Cm7 music edition v2- really stable, clean, LOUD.... Headphones and speaker are massivly improved by this rom. I say v2 cause i havent tried v3... :/ 8/10
Coming back to cm9b7 i know alot of people are saying its amazing.... Am i missing something? Do i need to restart 3 times or something, clear battery stats, or is it just people having rosy tinted vision over ics?
