Hi, I have noticed with my htc one that sometimes, like 1-3 times an hour, my data dies and sometimes even the cell signal drops
This happens everywhere. Is this a build problem or just my phone? Or can I update radio and fix? Thanks in advance

Sry for slow respond,
I tested the things you suggested and I figured out that the problem is with 4G, If i enable 4G it works sometimes but then sometimes this problem happens.
But if i don't use 4G , only H/3G it works fine. Why is that? The only reason i can think it that 4G is new in my country? Or that the network towers are overloaded( It's a known problem where i live that the towers are overloaded)
Thanks.
Along with most i received the update last month. With it i got a drastically improved camera and a bunch of other things. one thing i was not expecting was my 3G signal to deteriorate. I was easily able to get between 3 and 5 bars signal at home, work and inbetween. heck even in the toilet at work. However since the update there are a number of places that the signal drops altogether where i cannot even get 2G. Really a bit bummed about this. anyone have a similar issue? If i recall correctly, I am on son free UK version.

I'm 100% stock with the latest update! My One will get stuck with the 3g arrow up like it's uploading something...While this is happening I have no data connection. The only way to fix it is toggle airplane mode on/off and this only happens when my phone is on 3g.
Can this be a defective unit, App or maybe because sprint is working on NV all around me? I started receiving lte 2 weeks ago.
Btw this occurrs once every few days give or take

Ur not alone.......I've experienced this on several phones, including Samsung. Don't know what causes it, but the data toggle trick that you mentioned always works for me.
I haven't experienced this with any other phone except this 1 I will keep a close eye on it.

I've noticed it happens when there is work being done on your tower.

It seems that every so often, maybe once a minute sometimes, my phone will briefly drop 1X and 3G and then pick it back up. It's fairly quick but it's maddeningly annoying when I'm browsing. My phone has been doing this for a while I think, but it seems to occur more often after the 4.3 update and new radio. I have no idea if it's rom related, my phone, or sprints network. I'm using bad boyz. Anyone else experience this?

I had the same experiences when i was running BadBoyz. Thought it was just me, but after flashing Elegancia and now InsertCoin...my connection have been steady at eHRPD with some flashes of 4gLTE here and there depending on my location. But yeah, my connection has never dropped since switching rom.

Hi guys, for the past week and a half my phone is losing data connection. In places I consistently get LTE the signal drops to H+ and I have no data connection, then after a few mins I get LTE back. This happens sporadically.
I've rebooted the phone, removed and reinstalled the SIM and contacted my carrier (ROGERS) they rebooted the system from their end but the problem persists.
Anybody else experiencing this issue and if so did you solve it?

My wife's Moto X would consistently drop cellular data connections but calls and WiFi were fine. Motorola had to replace the phone.

So it's a hardware issue? Funny this never happened before, granted I did drop my phone and cracked the screen about 3 weeks. I wonder if that has contributed to the issue?!

This has been happening to me as well on daily basis, multiple times. Im to the point of returning the device to best buy and purchase the Dev edition. I'm using an att locked device on ST. Some say its due to att APN.

Did this just start happening to you, around a week and a half ago?

So I picked up a new (used motox) phone and it's losing connection also. So it obviously has nothing to do with the broken screen.

I got a new SIM card and issue persists. Very annoying, and I don't understand how this just started happening. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago.

Perhaps it is on your carrier's end. Remember, the phone can only establish and keep a data connection if the carrier's equipment is functioning properly. Who is your carrier? As a test, you could purchase a prepaid-sim on a different carrier and see if the data connection remains stable. I put a friend on H2O wireless (AT&T MVNO) and he has had zero issues with losing data connection.
Good Luck

I'm with Rogers (Canada). I have contacted them twice, they end up doing something on their end. I reboot the phone, I get LTE connection then I set my phone down and next time I turn it on minutes later it goes to H+ and there's no data connection.

I've had a similar issue, but with my XT1053 Moto X. During or after a call, my network would drop down to 4G (so H+ on the Rogers version) and I'd have no data connection. It would take a while to re-establish LTE, which gets kind of annoying. I'm not sure how to fix the issue just yet.

Yup. I've tested it with my S5, Nexus 5, and Z1 Compact and they all have the same issue. I'm thinking it's a Rogers thing.

I've contacted rogers twice, they opened a ticket with their back-end tech guys, they're going to check the towers around my house and work.
I'll keep you posted with my findings.
Also I've asked a few people I know with Rogers if their data connection is dropping and they've told me no.

Rogers called me and said the problem has been resolved but I'm still getting data connection loss

I'm still getting the same problem as well.
I still don't understand how this just spontaneously started to happen. And with 2 different MotoXs

It only occurred twice today...
So it looks like it's improving.
