Hi kings
Is there any procedure somewhere on how update the radio firmware on nexus one?
I can the .img radio image with cyanogenmod but cant find how to install it.
ROM CM6 RC3

Well first we need to know what radio you are currently using. Go to Settings -> About Phone and look under Baseband. You are looking for the first three numbers after the underscore in the middle. Post your version.
Thanks for your reply. The baseband version says 32.19.00
That doesn't look right. Can you post the whole baseband version?
Oups my mistake.it is 4.02.02

With the .IMG file you can flash through fastboot or you can download the signed update file and flash custom recovery. Recovery is easier for people that arent that great in fastboot.

This is the newest radio version already in a .zip file. just throw it in the root of your sdcard, boot into recovery and select flash zip file and select the file.

this is the other froyo radio. same process as the other.

I never use recovery to flash a radio, always fastboot. I would advise against it, but to each his own. This is correct instructions, you beat me to it

I didnt use recovery to flash radio also, but I have an N1 with locked bootloader and fast boot doesnt work with locked bootloaders. Kinda sucks having to use flash_image each time. But The 2 files that i posted up, ive personally used and flashed radio recovery and havent had any problems with it.
Thanks guys. I see 2 versions, 4.x and 5.x which one should i go for

It depends on you. some say 4.x is better some say 5.x is better. Everyone has their own opinion for radio, roms, etc.
Mmnn last question, would it matter if i install 5.x and roll back to 4.x if needed? I guess not but justto be sure

Nope. Just be careful and not let the phone die during a radio flash process. it can brick your phone.
Radios are the one thing you have to be extremely careful when flashing. Interrupting the radio flash is basically the only proven way to brick a phone.
Make sure you have ample battery charge, have your phone plugged in, and DON'T mess with the phone while it works it's magic. I can't stress this enough.
Wouhouuu i have the 5.x now im thankful guyss!

You can flash the radio using fastboot anyway, because radio isn't a custom build and is signed with authentic keys, allowing it to be flashed with the regular locked bootloader.

Hi,
I flashed to CM6 RC3 yesterday, and it works pretty nicley.. BUT, I forgot to flash the radio before flashing CM6 RC3 so my question is can I flash the radio now even after CM6 RC3 or will that brick my Nexus One?
Reason being, 720p recording will record but FC on playback, sometimes I get an error messege that says the video is not supported.
help?

Hi guys. I hope you could help me with your wisdom.
Trying to install the new froyo rom on my legend I get a problem like this:
Writing Boot:...
E:Error finishing BOOT:
E:Failure at line 80:

BOOT:
Installation aborted.
I know that it happends because y have 1 bad block. I cant believe that the boot partition has just the size it needs. Could I be able to install this update in the future with the S-OFF ?? Can I remap the boot partition to another working space ?
Please help!!
i have same problem. there is no chance.

As soon as kernel source is released we can work this out by recompiling it, separating some drivers from monolythic core thus making it a little bit smaller.
But as I said already (many times) this is hardware flaw that was there already at the production line of NAND chip so U should claim a new phone.

Someone said that he managed to make an OTA upgrade while he wasn't able to upgrade it with whitetigerdk's ROM.
You could try by flashing just boot.img from OTA:
boot into ClockworkMod recovery
adb push boot.img /
adb shell flash_image boot /boot.img (you can try several times)
...although original boot.img is 2512896 bytes and if you have one bad cell you are 22 kB short.
However (as I said too) there's another way... if we get S-OFF before kernel source, we can make boot partition a little bigger...

The only solution is to wait S-off

But it´s strange because yesterday i unrooted my Legend with vodafone UK.
And install the OTA with no issue.
I run official Froyo with no root.
Now i make a question, can i do root again?

When NAND chip leavs production line it already has several bad cells but we don't know where untill we try to use them (read/write). Some of you are so fortunate to have one of those few just on the portion where boot partition resides...

For those of you that flashed a bad radio to your NS4G, there is a fix!
Many thanks go out to Netarchy for relentlessly trying to fix my radio, and Shabbypenguin for supply Netarchy with his phone images both of them did a lot of work just to get my phone operational again Thank you very much!
Attached is the signed zip for you to flash in recovery. now listen very carefully before you complain that this didn't work for you. It did not work for me either, but it just may work for some people to flash in recovery, that is why i'm supplying a signed zip for you. What I had to do to get this to work is to unzip the file. inside there is a file called "radio.pr.img" boot into your bootloader and use the following fastboot command
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.pr.img
that worked for me and hopefully it will work for anyone else that flashes a bad image.
Once again thank you to Shabbypenguin and Netarchy, and anyone else that may have helped out.

hi guys.
i did a terrible mistake last night nd am stuck.. need ur help.. plz help me.
last night i tried to update my radio from 3805.04.03.22_M to 3805.04.03.27_M.. i renamed 3805.04.03.27_M to PG32IMG.zip nd placed tat on the root of my sd card..
i did this because my gps was not working properly.. i was running android revolution hd 1.02 then.. i flashed the radio successfully nd checked if my gps is working normally.. but no it was'nt. then i thought of flashing cyanogenmod rom.. i downloaded the zip file and placed it on my sd card.. i booted into the recovery took a backup nd wiped the data nd cache.. and yes i forgot to remove the PG32IMG.zip from the sd card. along wid this i accidently pressed on "reboot nw" option on my CWRM.. nw whn i press "volume down button nd power button" it takes me to hboot menu and as PG32IMG.zip is on my sd its trying to flash tat.. nd do not allow me to enter into recovery mode. as there is no data on the phone whn i power up the device am getting a white screen wid htc logo..
guys hw can i get into the recovery or flash any rom nw?? is it possible to manually push any rom via adb or in any other way. am unable to use my incredible s.. plz help me.. thank you

As the title say, I'm in search of someone who is running the stock Rogers ROM for HTC Raider and want to make a backup of it so I could use it please.. Thanks
If anyone is curious as to why he needs this and can't use something else... The original owner had the stock ICS rooted ROM on the device. The OP flashed a new ROM without flashing the kernel first. Now the device will not go past HBOOT (he CAN get to recovery). Here's the kicker, his computer no longer reads his device when he plugs it in. He tried other USB cords/ports, tried adb/fastboot and no luck. So essentially this is where we are.
- Stock Rogers ICS kernel
- Some other ROM
- Unlocked bootloader and S-ON
- No access to computer
Can't flash a kernel because no access to computer, can't boot up the phone to use an app to flash the kernel, not S-OFF. His SD card is not corrupt however, he can take it out and read/write, just not when it's in the Raider. RUU and PH zip won't work because unlocked bootloader and not able to connect to computer.
So essentially I think what might work is if someone can offer us a ROOTED ROGERS ICS ROM zip. Also what might work is a nand backup from someone on the stock Rogers ROM. This way he can put it on the SD card, flash/restore from recovery, and then he will have the matching kernel+ROM.
I have a stock ICS RUU Rogers if you want it?
I got it from here:

Hey dude, do you guys want the RUU or the CWM backup?
I just flashed CWM v5.5.0.4, this one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423075
Im currently backing up my device ATM. Will go back to stock ICS and backup that after. Will post the stock ICS in 40 mins or so (eating and doing this at the same time ).
sorry, hit a little snag. I end up having to re-flash, re-root, etc the whole works since i got a CWM recovery loop.
Here's the RUU of the rogers one:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6792158/RUU....21_34.30.701040.22_release_264282_signed.exe
Im heading in a bit, so ill do a backup using WCX recovery method instead of CWM.

You should be able to go into recovery and then go to restore and select that zip.

Not sure if you need it zipped, but when i restored mine - i just put all the files under the folder "Nandroid" and when i boot it to recovery - just choose to restore and it should see your backup.
