I am just about to throw my phone at the wall.
So I was on stock 2.3.3 and decided I wanted to update to ICS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488096
I didn't have clockwork mod and wasn't rooted so I eventually got this working
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
Then I tried to install the ICS rom but it wouldn't work. I then tried to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353657 which for some reason didnt have any cell phone coverage.
I tried going back to the just rooted version of 2.3.3 but haven't been able to get the phone to go past the samsung logo / Clockwork Recovery.
Edit: Whenever I try flash the 2.3.3 rooted rom it updates me to Clockwork Mod Recovery v3.0.0.5 with HEAPS of errors.
Any ideas?
You should go back to a stock rom via Odin...you will need a rom that has 3 files (csc , modem, phone) and the Odin 512 .pit file and check the repartition box.

thank you ! ill give this a try
Originally, I am using a 4.0.3 stock rom.
Then I flashed a 4.2 ABYSS kernel and pressed wipe data after.
After that, I flashed check rom v6. However, it cant boot and stops at the GT-N7000.
So I use odin to flash a rom with pda, phone and csc. However, it still cant boot and stops at GT-N7000.
All my steps should be usual as I usually flash the rom of my phone.
What can I do to boot my phone?
Did you boot back into recovery after flashing AbyssNote kernel ?
Which ICS kernel were you using when you performed wipe data / factory reset ?
Now...
Flash stock gingerbread rom with pc odin and then factory reset.
DO NOT select PIT file or boot-loader etc. Flash normally.

It is superbricked.
Take your phone to samsung service centre. Motherboard needs to be replaced.
Act dumb, do not tell them about custom roms and kernels, root etc and make sure you do not have yellow triangle and flash counter.
BTW Which kernel were you using before you flashed AbyssNote kernel?

Did you reboot into recovery after flashing abyss kernel?
You need to reboot back into recovery after flashing abyss 4.2, so the abyss kernel takes effect.
Sounds like you didn't reboot into recovery, and wiped with an unsafe kernel.

You are superbricked. Search the forum for partial recovery since you cannot claim warranty, unless you send it back to France.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

Are you sure it was stock kernel?
Stock kernels do not have clockwork recovery - so it is not possible to flash kernel from it.

If you can flash through odin without getting stuck at some point then may still be ok. Make sure to have kernel matching rom. Abyss go with gb rom.
While flashing 2.1 stock rom using odin, phone was bricked. I was not able to turn on phone, i was able to get into download using jig. But not able to flash anything.. no progress after clicking on start, while flashing kernal or rom.. pls help

What's the error you're getting? Also, what are you flashing?
Here's what I suggest: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953930
Also, you shouldn't be flashing stock 2.1. Flash stock 2.3.5 instead (KK4): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18370912&postcount=3
You'll need the bootloaders version since you flashed Eclair's bootloaders.
I was able to resolve my issue by connecting data cable to another usb port
Hi XDA members,
so heres the deal.
I have a GT-N7000, I got it from a friend, but it was soft bricked. with the kies emergency error.
i tried to do the emergency recovery with kies, but it said "GT-N7000 does not support initializing".
SO my next thought was Odin. ive downloaded about 3 or 4 firmware files. flashed them and i get stuck at the "SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE GT-N7000" screen everytime.
i dont know what firmware it was on, and since it wont boot the only information i can provide is whats on the sticker under the battery.
idk if it was rooted, or on jb/ics/gb or custom rom. idk about the kernel. please someone help me fix this ill provide any information i can. :good: :highfive:
Is flash successful? Have you tried flashing Philz kernel through odin? Then try getting into recovery.
