I have a Bionic here that's all stock, never been rooted, and for some reason, the Corporate Sync account (connecting to an Exchange mailbox via ActiveSync) keeps automatically generating hyperlinks for email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses. Is this normal behavior for this device? And is there a way to disable it or somehow prevent the phone from doing it? I personally use a T-Mobile Galaxy S2 and this behavior doesn't happen there.

Hello all
I am experiencing a bit of trouble with getting my emails on my phone and hoping some of you out there might know a solution. I gave up on trying to set up push email for now and just set up my mail as a separate account.
This was my first problem, because on an old 2003 device I had I didn't need to have a separate account, just sync with activesync and outlook and that would be that. You could then send/receive without activesync no bother but on WM6.1 it doesn't seem to copy your account settings across from Outlook, so the only way to get email on the move is by way of a separate account. The ideal solution for me is to have one account on the Diamond for checking my Googlemail, that will send/receive on the move, but also backup to PC when connected via Activesync.
Now that I have gone down the separate account route on my Diamond, I am experiencing two further problems. The first one I can't seem to sync the emails pulled down on the Diamond to my PC. The second problem, and this is the most annoying, is that everytime I send/receive (I have it set up for every two hours) it deletes the previously received emails off my phone. I have changed all manner of settings on phone and with my mail provider (googlemail), and it still deletes any 'old' emails off my phone and just keeps ones that have been received since the last connection to the server.
I know this is a long post but felt it had to be to get my problem down correctly, hopefully somebody out there can help?!?
I recently flashed my device to a recent wm 6.5.1 build (23081, 23504, 23506) and noticed that my Fuze no longer checks email when the device is in standby/sleep state. This problem includes both automated (i.e. scheduled checks) and manually initiated "send/receive" after which i hit the power button to turn off the screen. Note that all of this occurs over the cellular 3G/HSDPA network with IMAP mail accounts. I did not have this issue on my previous rom (6.5 23001). I've tested this by having unread message in my gmail account for hours and my phone would not receive any messages. In the end, I've had to manually choose send/receive and leave the phone on in order for messages to download.
I'm not sure if this is new behavior in Outlook/WM 6.5 or whether I did something in my previous rom that allowed me to check and download email with the device in the sleep state. This is a big issue as I think a smartphone is worthless if it can't check email when the device has its screen turned off in the standby/sleep state.
Any thoughts or solutions? Thank you.
Hey all,
I'm having some issues with the Social Hub.
I have 2 Hotmail and 1 Yahoo account set up in it.
Issue 1:
Intermittent sending, from any of the 3 accounts.
When I compose or reply to an email and click send, it shows as sent on my SGS, but never gets received by the 2nd party. It seems to be intermittent. I just tried again and it worked. I don't have any confidence sending emails from my phone as I don't know that the other party will receive it.
Issue 2:
Authentication.
Every so often, about once a week, I get constant errors indicating that authentication failed when attempting to login to all accounts. I must re-enter my passwords on all accounts, sometimes several times in a row, before the errors go away.
Issue 3:
Since upgrading to Froyo, my Quiet Time settings no longer work. I have the Social Hub set to be quiet from midnight to 7am, yet the phone still notifiies via vibrate or ring through the night.
Any input would be welcome...
I kept getting 'relogin required' for my hotmail account in samsung e-mail. Eventually got annoyed and just removed the account (don't really use it). Not sure but it may have started after I updated social hub.
My wife uses hotmail with social hub and has constant issues with it. She had an issue before with some data in her contacts that I found by using aLogcat. I've been meaning to look at the logs to troubleshoot her login issues too but haven't had the time. You could try getting that from the market and examining the logs right after the issue to see why it is happening. When I get some time I will do this and post back here.

This seems strange, and I admit that I am baffled by this one, but I set up an email account for someone on their phone yesterday so they could received their emails when they weren't at home. It's a Charter IMAP email setup, but here's the weird part: the emails sync to the phone just fine, but since setting it up on the phone they have stopped showing up through Outlook on the computer.
I have seen I believe on other Android devices a setting that says to keep the message on the server as well, but I did not find that setting on the Milestone (Droid). So, is the problem phone side, or computer side? And how do I fix it?
I've just started having this strange issue on my Xperia Z running KK.
An email account set up on the phone was previously working fine, and all of a sudden, I can no longer retrieve email from it. All settings are the same and I haven't changed anything, it's an IMAP account.
Rebooting the phone doesn't change anything.
I have other email accounts on the same server and they all work so it's not a server-side thing. I can still pick up the problematic account on my other devices and PCs, it's just the phone that no longer works.
Strange thing is that if I delete the account, then put it back in, it works for some time, then after an hour or so, I get the same Connection Error - Could not log in. The notification just says "The username or password for <account> is incorrect. Update them now?" I can put in the correct details, but it just doesn't work.
Any idea how to debug or get the real reason? I can't seem to find any logs that give more information as to what exactly it thinks is the problem.
Problem solved
I've checked the mail server, and its settings were limiting to 10 connections per IP which I was reaching with the phone! Feel a bit stupid now. :silly:
But for info, is there any debugging logging available for the default Sony email app to get to the root of the problem on future issues?
