I used the rageagainstthecage method to gain root and then flashed the recovery with the method described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7392149&postcount=61
thanks allot but the recovery image in the link is not valid
Read my signature, read the relevant guides, and download the new recovery listed in "Recovery".

At first please don't post links to your question in other threads.
You may have a soft brick due to the .zip you installed (may was corrupt). Search in the forum for installing .kdz (stock LG firmware) manually and do it. Then repeat the whole unlock etc and try it again.

You need to update recovery, you most likely flashed an old version since this used to happen to me on first releases of cwm

HELP, Installed recovery but not ABOOT

So i installed recovery by flashing it in rom toolbox , then rebooted into recovery through the toolbox, I installed a rom with custom Gapps and now the rom is not functioning correctly(wont boot to android , stuck on boot image) and i cant replace the rom because i cant access Recovery(CWM)
I can Access the Firmware Update screen
A solution would be much appreciated!

For starters, Welcome to XDA-Developers.
I hate starting out this way and I understand that you're in panic mode now that your device isn't working correctly. I also realize you are a new member here at XDA_Developers. However, creating two threads, the other one here, on the same subject is against the rules. Especially when the threads are only an hour apart.
There are no paid staff here at XDA-Developers to answer your questions. We are all volunteers. You must give people more time to answer your questions. With that said, @gdjindal was kind enough to answer your question, in both of your threads.
Actually I didn't noticed this........

Where can i download the latest CWM Recovery for CM12?

Where can i download the latest CWM Recovery for CM12?
I just finished installing Official Cyanogenmod 12 (CM12) but i just realised i can't get into recovery coming from CM11 there must be a new version kicking around somewhere for CM12 for Xperia Z1, Iv'e tried searching on Google and XDA but i can't find a compatible CWM recovery to install to work as i know there compatibility issues...i'm on 5.02 Lollipop CM12 so i dunno what version of CMW recovery to try as it seems folk online like to say things are indeed the latest just to get views and hits by downloading there crapware
I hope someone here can help
there is no CWM but there are images to flash to get TWRP or Phil-Z (CWM with touch control)

Custom rom is developed for my phone but Carliv Touch Recovery is unsupported

Hello,
i have some problems with my stock recovery for Alcatel OT4027d (a.k.a Alcatel Pixi 3 4,5 3g version). I decided to select any custom rom which is better for my device. I found some supported roms for my phone. I choosed this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65298270&postcount=629 but, there is some problem. This custom room needs to be flashed throught Carliv Touch Recovery. However, when i follow step by step tutorial on forum, how to install Carliv Touch Recovery, i got 2 errors. First, my device is not rooted but this can be skipped. Second, My MT6572 isnt supported. I dont know, where is problem? Custom rom is developed for my device needs CTR but CTR isn developed for my phone. Is there another way to flash this recovery to my mobile? Or How can i repair CTR error
BTW: 1.CTR was installed throught computer by Easy Magic CTR installer v 2.4
2. I downloaded CTR magic crate tool from another forum and there was that my MT6572 is supported but on
xda forum, there is that my MT6572 isnt supported.
Thanks for Helping. Have a nice day
