first pls check this site out
it has the specifications of the chipset that the kaiser is using
http://www.cdmatech.com/products/msm7200_chipset_solution.jsp
my question is
duz it mean that, our kaiser has the potential to do whatever it says there on the specs?
like the 6.0MP camera and the 30FPS video?
gurus, pls enlighten me
Yeah, probably it can do all those things.. but first we need to wait for those guys at HTC figure out how to use them.
Meanwhile please sign the petition and do whatever you can to get those guys to fix this

no it doesnt mean we can magically have a 6.0 MP camera or 30 fps video, but the playback of video could be greatly improved by getting decent 3d acceleration drivers, which HTC has yet to provide.

Oh, I thought he meant 30 fps video playback, not recording.. my mistake sorry anyway, wouldn't harm to get everyone's attention to the acceleration drivers right?
It does mean the chip supports reading image data from a 6MP sensor. It is up to the manufacturer as to what size camera sensor they actually include (in this case 3.1MP). So, no magic software update to 6MP. As for 30fps video recording, if you are talented enough programmer, you might be able to figure out how to write an app to do it. The 30fps simply refers to how often the processor can get data from the image sensor. How many frames a second you can actually record, and at what resolution, is limited by programming skills and the relatively low performance of an ARM processor.
Why is'nt 30fps video recording possible? The only limitation is hardware related, which our hardware supports. The fps isnot related to the cam unit as far as I know. Previously on my ROKR E6 and my W800 I've increased the ps from 7 to about 20. I apologise if I am wrong, this is my first week with the Kaiser and still learning , first week with any windows based phone and I'm loving it
First, I want to say hello to all xda members and developers! Now I will tell you my problem : I have a SyncMaster T27A300 samsung led tv , and a ps3 console. When I play on the samsung tv the textures are like set to very low , in my parents' room there's a led lg smart tv 200hz (I don't know the name) a pretty good one and there , the textures are like set to very high/max , anyway it's waaaaaay better than my samsung . And as an weird example I have a chinese tv , i really don't know the specs , only that's lcd and the name of the company is "Changhong" , anyway it looks like it's made in a garage ) and even there the textures are on high . On the samsung I tried every single settings every of them one by one , even game mode , anything but still every game is like a 2002 game. So how can this be explained? The lg 200hz one yes it HAS to be better , but the chinese one doesn't even have many settings (only contrast, brightness, saturation and clarity) and doesn't have "game mode" but still the textures are better ... I used on all the tvs, the same games , the same cables everything ..
So please help me how to make this samsung **** better or suggest a better tv in the 300-400 euros range . (the lg was about 400, the samsung about 350 or so and the chinese that owns the samsung about 150 or 200 ))) )
PS: The samsung has a function to update the firmware via usb , so maybe custom roms for it ? ))))
Thank You xda!
Quick solution, switch tv's. Problem solved.

Sorry B1nny but I'm pretty sure English isn't his first language and tbh he's doing a pretty good job of getting his point across with a limited vocabulary?

What he's using is sms speak. That's usually a big no-no even in Indian forums.

For some context, he's referring to the nokia pro cam app. This actually takes fiddling to acquire, use of proxy servers and what not to download. But it does provide manual focus and a shutter speed as long as 4s on a budget device. The best the Z1 can manage is 0.8s.
How well it works on said device is up to debate. 520, 620 are a bit underpowered. 720 and up from what i can tell is ok. Reviews as to performance on lower end devices are hard to come by, mostly people bragging they got it on their phone bla bla. It's not going to make a low end camera perform like a high end one. You will still get low end shots but the ease of use is welcome.
The only use i can see for manual focus is at night when its hard to auto focus or macro shots.
The nokia pro cam app is excellent otherwise in terms of ease of use. Everything you would ever want.

Because there is a thing called Google play store, and you can easily download the camera app you want to get these functionality and Lumia doesn't, so they have to make one themselves...
Show me an app that can do manual focusing and set the shutter speed please

ya friend what you said is correct...but nokia 1020 is like a dslr and z1 is like a digital cam, which 1 do you prefer? im not telling z1 is bad,but would be very happy if sony could provide manual controls like shutter speed and focus control....becacouse they let you take stunning images,i hope u understood what i meant...and theres no camera app in play store that provides manual focus ,only we can do is touch to focus, focus lock and infinity focus ec-camera fv-5...and thank you
1020 or Z1 ? The pricing for the 1020 in India is ridiculous, more expensive than the note 3 (!)..lol
Depends what your priorities are. People do not choose a phone based on just the camera. There are a number of other factors that come into play as well. At the flagship level i'd prefer the Z1. As the gap is closer.
At the Rs.15-18k level nothing to beat the 720 for camera. But you have to compromise on OS. The low to mid range lumias are vfm, every one of them has a real GPS and is dual band wifi with the exception of 720. Hardware wise they are better than android.
Just have to accept that WP is more limited than android for now. A year or two later the ecosystem will be more mature. For now its just the basics : phone, camera, internet, media player, offline maps. Some games. Anything more is pushing it.
What i would like to see is the ability to set a custom WB, no camera phone offers that as yet.
Is it possible to make ? I think it' s not impossible but you, developers knows best, im asking you. Is there any chance to make 60fps video.
And for second, KCAL module not working for Xperia SP so we cannot set gamma, is there anyway to change this ? Is it impossible?

Its possible because I have seen HTC one mini(Adreno 305) to do so. Xperia SP has a lot better GPU. But not sure will camera on SP could do that
I think Xperia SP could do that, the camera not that horrible i think and cpu fast enough for that.
Wish so much the kernel developers or someone will make this work :crying::crying:

Can you give me a link to the kernel/mod/whatever thing that allows to do that on the One Mini?

I think the One Mini has it already. No mods or kernels :crying:
I think i saw a mod for Xperia Z or Z1 for camera fps but i lost it, searching again for it. Thanks for replying Tomoms:highfive:
Ooh god i find this for Nexus 4, 60FPS 720p recording. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/devs-nexus-4-camera-recording-v0-2-avc-t2159076/page15
and find this, for LG G2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548974
and the last, Motorola Droid http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844702&page=3
I respect/appreciate ur work and i know u're busy, wish so badly for 60 fps, and many people wants it i think, could you work for it ?
Thanks again.
I don't know if you guys saw the new Phone by Razer, but it's one of the first US launched phone with a 120hz screen. I personally tried a 100hz computer monitor and nothing beats the experience it gives (not even the resolution). Since this phone use the Snapdragon 835 like our phone. It is possible to mod the kernel, ROM and/or driver to put a higher refresh rate? At least 75hz or 90hz if our panel doesn't support 120hz ? Technical peoples, fell free to join the conversation to explain why it's/it's not possible !
it's a 60hz panel

Then i want QHD as well
Go take your average PC monitor and try doubling the refresh rate from 60-120Hz and then come back to us with the result.
Heck, most won't even let you go to 75Hz, let alone 120.

On a monitor you can use custom resolution utility to overclock certain displays over hdmi, the max you'll get is 75Hz which does make a visual difference for gaming..
However on a phone ? I really don't know..
There's a relative chance that if it was possible it could maybe help with the jelly effect as it would allow more frames to come through.
Personally I don't think it's possible but I couldn't be 100% and if you damaged your screen then your phone is useless.
120Hz definitely not.
If the logistics of how CRU works on a computer can be translated to a mobile device then it could potentially be done at 75Hz although I'm not sure who would want to put their device up to test it
Not even possible on amoled
I want front speakers.... maybe the fingerprint reader can be modded to act as a speaker?
I think people have been really hard and sarcastic over genuinely question .. isn't this a forum to help people to understand or tweak their phone
